I think that a Jake and Rosa's friendship is fantastic. She's not like Boyle, who just opens up to everyone and the fact that she trusts Jake is fantastic. And there's never any underlying sexual tension, so you know it's just a good, pure friendship

I tried coming out to my mom and her reaction was very similar to Rosa's parents. "Oh there's a chance you can still marry a guy." And then she told me not to tell my dad.

I'm sorry. Coming out is the tough part, and I'm sorry to hear the way your mom reacted. I hope your parents will be able to accept this part of you sooner rather than later. Here's a bisexual joke I hope will make you smile. I don't know why people are surprised to hear I'm bi, I remind them ever time I leave. I always say "Bi" and they say "Good Bi" which always makes me feel good.

I feel you. Coming out is never easy. My maternal grandparents haven't spoken to me or my brother (both of my mom's kids are gay) since we came out. It takes time but I think eventually she'll come around. Stay true to yourself and stay safe.

That line makes me cry as well (like I seriously teared up just hearing it again in this video), and it's a wonderful reminder of *why* it's important for those of us who feel safe and comfortable to come out to actually do so. I always thought of sharing my sexuality with everyone as unimportant - the solid majority of people that I know wouldn't have been upset/unsupportive if I told them, but I also didn't see the necessity in being open about it. But that line pushed me to come out to most of my family, and we are all genuinely happier for it. If there are members of your family that weren't ready to hear it, I hope that this will change for you. But I truly believe that the world is more interesting because you came out, and I hope that it will feel the same for your family one day.

That line always makes me so emotional and feel so validated. Also friendly reminder that even if your parents are never supportive, it's not the end. You will create your own family that supports you and it'll be so amazing! We get to chose our families, and surround ourselves with people that lift us up! My parents aren't very supportive, but I have a great partner and friends who are, and I chose them as my real family!!!

I agree. The better moment between them would've been the end of the episode '99' or when she made Charles one of her bridesmaids. I also couldn't believe that Terry's talk with Holt about the racist cop who arrested him wasn't even mentioned. That was a great moment between the two superior officers.

You all talk about Jake punching his idol for Holt. You forget about Holt keeping Jake calm in Florida when Holt was pulling the rod out of his own leg and he never once made a comment on how Jake couldn't handle the situation, but instead kept him calm by talking to him and he was genuinely proud of him for not freaking out more by the end

I love that episode where Amy is concerned about things changing. To me, it subtly touches about the fear that women suffer when being "professionally" superior to men. Like afraid to brake that fragile male ego. And Jake handles it with grace. It's like it's saying, if this man-child can take it, the rest of us, adults, should have even less problem with it.

You mentioned the Jake and Amy episode, (which is really more of a relationship than a friendship moment but whatever, minor detail) but not the best part of that whole episode, which is how they actually found her. Jake knows her so well that he can actually mimic exactly what she would do every step of the way. That was the real proof of how close they are!

Agreed. My second favorite episode. The friendship and love between each of the characters in that episode are simply amazing. Gina and Amy trying to fix the toilet and jake spiraling for a moment, but realizes he needs to stay to calm everyone down. Truly beautiful. I actually thought that episode would be number 1, or just on the list.

I know coming out is a very difficult thing to do and I love Rosa's character development but Charles taking a bullet for her saving Rosa's life was definitely a bigger moment.

I can't really disagree with any of these. But a moment worth mentioning is in "The Last Ride" with Jake and Boyle with scene with the binoculars. Nothing against Rosa coming out to her parents, but this moment with Jake and Boyle is a great option for #1 as well.
