She had an amazing smile - a real twinkle in her eyes.

I remember meeting Charles back when I was like 8 or 9. He was where I live for an opening of a high rise. He came over, shook my hand and asked why we (my primary school class) was there, so I meekly said “we were allowed to come and see you”. He smiled, said how grateful he was and then walked further around the crowd. Then the press swarmed me which was terrifying, asking what was said. And because of that, I was put in the paper. He was a lovely man, even tho I’d only met him for such a short moment. But seeing him with the rest of the crowd, he just seemed so genuine.

William did "Livin' on a prayer" well...I'd love to see Catherine on stage with Shania Twain singing "Man, I feel like a woman", lol! I'm pretty sure she'd nail it. I love little Louis, he's only 4, so he's still in the cheeky stage. But no-one had a bigger sense of fun than Her Majesty. She also could impersonate people like a Boss.

this is whats important now, its fine to mourn, everyone grieves in their own way, but more importantly, remember, Queen Elizabeth lives a full life, and instead of focusing on what is lost, focus on what was given, her life, her humour, her joy

Prince Philip had a great sense of humour. My favoratw being this: Journalist: "Are you well, sir?" Philip "Why? Do I look ill?"

She'd have had to be quick witted being married to Prince Philip, who was surely the Grand Master of Royal Gaffes... Everything from touring industrial towns and remarking, "What a bloody awful place to live," to, when talking to British students working in China, "If you spend much longer over here, you'll end up with slitty eyes," passed his lips! Mind you, the story of her meeting American tourists when out walking on the Balmoral Estate was good too, when they asked if she'd ever met the Queen... "No, I don't believe I have," she replied, then quickly added, "This policeman has though. Sometimes he even sees her every day!" And probably best of all - again at Balmoral; and while entertaining the Head of an Arab state where women weren't allowed to drive; she not only did the driving herself - but did so at 95mph along the unmade country roads, taking the poor man rather closer to meeting his maker than he'd certainly been before. And what about the infamous hat incident, when someone forgot to provide a step for her behind a lectern that she was giving a major speech from and, thanks to that oh so American habit of using a whole bunch of microphones where one would have sufficed perfectly well; all you could see was the hat... Undeterred, she opened her speech to Congress the next day with the words, "I do hope that you're all able to see me today...!!"

My third son, who is in his 20s as you are, has recently been inked for the first time. As he and his husband have now settled in England, at least for the foreseeable future (he being from 🇰🇪 Kenya, and his hubby from 🇺🇸 Oregon), he wanted an UK themed tattoo also. He decided the best British emblem was the Dragon, of Wales, which he now has on his right, rear shoulder.

I was fortunate enough to meet Prince Charles back in the day. I used to be a Youth Worker and was involved with the Prince's Trust. We had a big event and we were demonstrating how Morphing software could be used. All morning the leader of our group, who knew I had a very naughty sense of humour was making it very, very, very clear I was not allowed to make fun of Prince Charles' ears. This was a running gag on a satire show in the UK back then. Prince Charles walked up and I started explaining what the software could do. I took a video shot of him and displayed it on the screen setting off a run that changed his face, my boss had premade this so it basically made his head into an hourglass, he seemed very interested and asked me what else could it do so..... I couldn't help myself and, giving my team leader a quick wink, I proceeded to use the software to morph his ears into elephant ears. I think my team leader was trying to melt into the floor. There was a brief moment of awkward silence then Prince Charles turned to me and said "There are still usable cells in the Tower Of London" and if I'm honest he was so deadpan I got a little worried. Then he laughed at my rather terrified expression and moved on to the next exhibit. Lovely man, he will be a good King.

I think you should get the Royal Cipher - ie the famous “logo” (for want of a better word) of the crown with the letters ER either side for Elizabeth Regina as a tribute to our beautiful late queen. It’s a simple yet powerful design and I think universally recognised. It’s on all our post boxes and anything that has the royal seal of approval.

Love the videos. See you’re getting close to the 100,000. So have you thought about your designs. I think it needs to be a simple idea that reflects all the nations of the UK. My suggestion for what it is worth would be a crown, with the four flowers that symbolise the nations ( well plants) - rose, thistle, leek and shamrock, in the crown, like a bouquet of flowers. It can be as small or large as you want, as realistic or stylised; and could be placed almost anywhere on you. As long as whatever you go for is what you want and you’re happy with it, it will be fine. Good luck.

Two that didn't make it, because there's no evidence recorded... back in the day she apparently loved to mess with people who'd only gotten into events to see her and to boast about it. In order to burst their bubble she would allegedly break out into a broad, east end/cockney accent. Which she'd picked up in her time in the Army as a mechanic. It would help shake off the magic. Second one. King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia had recently continued to ban women from driving before making a state visit. During said visit, he went to Balmoral, the Queen's favourite estate. He was offered a tour of the wider ground and a landrover was prepared for them. While waiting for the driver, who should open the door and climb into the drivers seet but her majesty in her common Balmoral attire of green shooting jacket and shawl. She then proceeded to drive around the Estate using every trick of defensive driving and combat driving as taught to her in the Army. Which included diving between gates and stone walls with gaps barely wide enough for the Landrover. King Abdullah was rather quiet for a while after the trip!

The bit with Paddington - you point out they're in a relatively unassuming train station. I assume that station is London Paddington station - it is famously the station where this bear, that came all the way from Peru, was found by his adoptive family, who then named him after the station. Just so you know the back-story in case you weren't aware of it, JT :)

There's a story with the Queen’s propensity to take picnics at the estate around lunchtime with just her protection officer in tow. Richard "Dick"Griffin said: There were two hikers coming towards us, and the Queen would always stop and say hello. And it was two Americans on a walking holiday. And it was clear from the moment we first stopped that they hadn’t recognized the Queen, which is fine. The American gentleman was telling the Queen where he came from […]. And I could see it coming and sure enough he said to her Majesty: “And where do you live?” She said, ‘Well I live in London, but I’ve got a holiday home just the other side of the hills.” And he said, “How often have you been coming up here?” She said, “I had been coming up ever since I was a little girl, so over 80 years.” And you could see the cogs ticking. He said: “Well if you’ve been coming up here for 80 years, you must have met the Queen?” And as quick as a flash, she said “Well I haven’t but Dick here meets her regularly.” So the guy said to me, “You’ve met the Queen, what’s she like?” And because I was with her a long time, and I knew I could pull her leg, I said, “Oh, she can be very cantankerous at times, but she’s got a lovely sense of humor.” The next thing I knew, this guy comes around, puts his arm around my shoulder, and before I could see what was happening, he gets his camera, gives it to the Queen, and says, “Could you take a picture of the two of us?” Anyway we swap places and I took a picture of them with the Queen, and we never let on, and we waved goodbye and Her Majesty said to me, “I’d love to be a fly on the wall when he shows those photographs to their friends in America - and hopefully someone tells him who I am.”
