Imagine being a Space Godzilla fan and even friendly monsters appear on a villains’ list before he does. I am becoming convinced my favorite monster won’t be seen in another movie.

“We won’t list Godzilla’s buddies like Mothra...” *lists Anguirus & mentions Rodan* And the fact Zilla, Ebirah, and Hedorah made it over Space Godzilla is a complete crime.

Fun Fact: Gigan was supposed to be able to shoot a laserbeam out of his eye like he did in the theatrical poster, but the idea was scrapped. However, in the video games, he was given the ability, which was finally included in Godzilla Final Wars.

Since when is King Caesar a villain of Godzilla? In Mechagodzilla he and Godzilla were allies, they only fought in Final Wars because he was under the control of the Xaliens. Angurius is also known to be Godzilla's greatest friend!

My 10 (And what the list should have been) 10: MUTOs: These new kaiju are unique and pose a threat to Godzilla existence. The lore shows MUTOs originated from a dead creature named “Dagon” a species of Godzilla 9: Hedorah: A odd but also spooky villain. Love the idea of a polluted monster made out of mud and garbage 8: Biolante: The female Kaiju and spawn of G cells. The design is good and the idea of plants and a croc like head fascinates me. Also much larger that’s Godzilla 7: Orga: A strange creature that attempts to clone itself into Godzilla and the origins is disturbing. 6: Space Godzilla: This outer space clone gave Godzilla a difficult time, his abilities and his flying form are really cool! 5: Monster X: A Kaiju with mysterious origins, One of the strongest monsters to ever faced Godzilla. X transmogrified into Kaiser Ghidorah which surprised me! 4: Gigan: One of the villains to make Godzilla bleed and the final wars design is badass!! And chainsaws speak for itself, along with eye lasers and grappling hooks! Surely a violent enemy of Godzilla 3: Destoroyah: One of The Kaiju that made Godzilla cry (Godzilla jr presume dead), He looks badass and terrifying, has forms that make him adapt to new situations. His origin from an iconic fictional weapon is interesting. 2: Mecha Godzilla: The robo villain that started the trend of cybernetic/robo monsters. MechaG has an overwhelming Arsenal in which gave Godzilla a difficult fight to win multiple times 1: King Ghidorah: The most iconic, re-occurring, and badass Kaiju. King Ghidorah towers Godzilla with flight, height, and abilities. Truly and always will remain Godzilla Greatest Nemesis in history!

Tbh I love how they put Zilla on the honorable mentions. (Zilla was the 1998 American film of the same name which was orginial called Godzilla but had to be changed because of how bad it was and how his special guests appearance in that film against Godzilla showed how he was destroyed instantly.)

Gigan and Mechagodzilla are still my favorites. The nice thing about both, they can both have multiple origin stories because multiple entities can produce them (they are basically weapons).

Believe me, I'm glad WatchMojo made this list and seemed relatively knowledgeable, but I really question some of their logic. They claim that they don't include kaiju who are more often Godzilla's ally than his enemy, yet they included Anguirus and King Caesar, and even had Rodan as an honorable mention. The example they gave for kaiju who are usually Godzilla's ally was Mothra, who is usually his enemy! If they were going to exclude Mothra, they should have just justified it by saying the list is only for villains (which still wouldn't really make sense with the inclusion of King Caesar and Anguirus, but whatever). The honorable mentions don't really make too much sense either. They're including monsters like Ebirah and Zilla (who I suppose was at least memorable), yet they completely skipped over SpaceGodzilla, who was arguably deserving of one of the top spots on the list. Then of course they made the common "King Ghidorah is Keizer Ghidorah" mistake. Monster X/Keizer Ghidorah arguably deserved a spot on the list, but since WatchMojo assumed that he was the same thing as King Ghidorah he didn't even get so much as an honorable mention. I don't want to sound like the unpleasable fanboy, but WatchMojo pretty much asks for criticisms in their videos anyway, and I'm at least trying to be logical in my criticisms of the video. So overall not a terrible video, but it could have been a lot better.

I never saw anguirus, ceasar or Rodan as enemies. I mean sure Anguirus was the first monster godzilla fought but they all seemed to be the best of pals up until final wars. I'm a little surprised to see Space Godzilla absent from the list, but overall I actually really approve of it. King Ghidorah has to be number one. No argument can be made to the contrary. Even if... I was hoping to see Destroyah as number 2, since he was essentially the closest embodiment to permanent death for Godzilla (both in origin and actions) that has appeared in the series thus far. Losing to Mecha Godzilla for number 3 is an acceptable position I guess. I liked the Muto, even if they weren't the "strongest" opponents he's ever fought. They fit well with the setting of the movie (EMPs seemed like a kind of cop-out, but very reasonable excuse for the military to not interfere too much) and had two different tag-team tactics that they could use against Godzilla, and uneven fights are always fun. Glad to see some of my stranger classic favorites getting some love, like Hedorah, Battra, and Biollante. Kind of hoped for Megalon, but I'm very satisfied that Gigan earned his spot. Little peeved that King Caesar and Anguirus were allowed on the list, even with them being strong/ iconic enough respectively, since "allies" were supposed to excluded, and roughly 50% of both their screentimes have them as allies to the king of the monsters, but oh, well. Would rather have Mothra than either, especially since she actually wins her fights, even against Godzilla. Like, always. Rodan only really deserves a runner-up, since other fliers provide more trouble, but he's got the street-recognition that he's still cool. Lol At Zilla as a consideration- that had to be a joke. But seriously, why does Ebirah give Godzilla so much trouble? It's just a crab that really likes to throw rocks as its main ranged attack. It shouldn't give Godzilla half as much trouble as it does, but it's still somehow cool while being incredibly silly. And yet somehow terrifying, since it kabobs people in its waters. So memorable. Ah, good times.

WatchMojo, have you even done your research? King Caesar, Anguirus, and Rodan aren't villains. Terror of Mechagodzilla came out in 1975, not 1974, and most notably, Godzilla was the villain in Godzilla Raids Again, much like in Godzilla (1954)., not Anguirus.
