I quite agree. The problem, I believe, is one of timing. The great Dr J arrived on the scene a tad too early, a bit before mass media was ready to focus on & celebrate a great talent in the game of basketball. The world should know, though, that there would be no Michael Air Jordan without the inventor of the air game, one Julius Erving.

Than you only watch the particular clips they're are so many clips of him dunking, and commentators asking how does this 6.0 player dunk over these 6.4 and 6.5 players! so maybe like me your only aware of what your favorite players can do! But you need to sit down and watch a couple of his clips without a chip on your shoulder and watch him as you can see his game breakdown against everyone he plays! they were afraid of him, watch all the interviews when the players are asked who was the player they hated going up against! @@leojanuszewski1019 In MJ23 era,.players scored more than KB8/24's, MJ23.sxored 2.8% more than the rest at that time,.and KB8/24.scored 2.0% more than his teammates at his time. Delta gap is unsignificant. You have to compare numbers between eras cause they are not all time the same. Rules.changes along the way many times. Otherwise you so compare Lebron era where games end up 140-120 everyday with MJ23 era and you will have MJ23 a scored a few points.

Way to hard to rate whose best. I mean id put Jordan best player ever. Ive stuck to that since Jordan was in the league a couple years and you could see he was going to be black Jesus. He did things nobody else had ever done or thought about doing. I remember i was a teenager playing with my friends trying to emulate him. You could make the case that Bill Russell was the best ever. 11 championships? Come on. But was the competition verse him the same kind as Jordan faced? Chamberlain the same. He was unstoppable out there and looked like he was from the future. Then you got Kobe and LeBron and Kareem. These past 5 guys anybody could make a case their the best instead of Jordan. I look at championships first, then wether the competition was the same. How hard was it for each player as far as defense from the league. Then of course his statistics. Offense AND Defense! Jordan was offensively a God but few people know he was also the best defensive player in his career. Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Julius Erving, Oscar Robertson, John Havlechek, Bob Cousy, and Jerry West were superstar players also and always in the discussion but in my opinion aren't in the top 3.

Larry IMO is top 5, not 8th... EQUAL TO or just pips Magic, Kobe and level with Kareem, LBJ & Wilt, but Jordan's No1. Larry's peak was Insanity, his longevity wasn't, if he didn't hurt his back could've been no1 .. The legends on this list say it all because he humiliated & trash talked them .. It's a Top 10, not everyone can make it in.. But AI, Robertson, Barkley, Ewing, Miller & co are v close... Ie 10-20 range .. it's all subjective anyway, everyone's list varies slightly.. 👍
