Brady with always be the GOAT for me on two fronts. A) Dude achieved at every single level, more than any other player by a long shot (over twice as many as any other quarter back has appearances, he has wins). He took every style of team (air attack, defense fist, game clock, run heavy) with bad, good, and great teams a like, did it early, middle, and at the end of his career. Dude is the best in every category. B) The Falcons Super Bowl will cement it forever for me for winning me $500 from my dad. In slight disgust he stands up after the 28th point to go to bed, I say out loud "NE will win this game", and I doubled it down to 500 saying that they wouldn't give up a single other point either. Legend status instantly. Never, ever, EVER, bet against the TB and/or the BB team.

I follow College Football more and am a huge fan of Michigan Wolverines (living in Canada, the early years of 13 channels meant you either watched Notre Dame or Michigan), and when he finally got the call to head the team everything you described was in his book, he just had the "it" factor and the mental maturity you dont' see very often from young men in that position. I was excited for his career in the NFL but nothing prepared me for just how great he is. Glad you won that bet!

Something to note about all these later in life Brady throws, he only holds the ball for about 2 seconds or less before he finds an adequate target and completes most passes he makes. You bring a great point about not only his accuracy, but the fact its a moving target and being under pressure. I described it to a friend from London as trying to kick a goal into a garbage bin, while the bin is moving at running speed, a goalie running with the bin to stop the ball, and 8x 250-350 lbs (18-25 st) men hell bend on hitting you with all their speed and weight as hard as they can and slamming you to the ground.

Tom Brady NFL career is a one of a kind type of thing it can’t be compared to any football player, baseball player, or basketball player or any athlete in my opinion because I think he was not chasing any body or any record or accolades , he simply was trying to be the best possible version of HIMSELF and he put the time and effort to it. I used to say the same thing about Joe Montana, 4 superbowls, 3 league MVP's, and his stats were staggeringly good (helped a lot by Jerry Rice years) but couldn't deny how he just elevated his game come Superbowl. Then we had flashes of great with Brees, Manning, Rodgers, heck even Big Ben Roethlisberger had some seasons where you thought he was about to take the league, but when Brady came into his own it was just a completely different level. To be fair, he was clutch as hell at Michigan and had a good record, saved quite a few games. Just like you, I used to think he was the best sportsperson in history, but after so many years watching Brady and the NFl, my attention turned to another great sports, to the real Football. In the great sport of Football/Soccer, there is one little giant, who eclipses all other sportspersons in history. His accolades are too many to name, his success is too great to quantify, his humility knows no bound. Lionel Messi is without a doubt the greatest sportsperson to ever walk this Earth, but I am truly blessed to say that in my life time I saw 2 ABSOLUTE GOATs dominate their respective sports. Bledsoe was very supportive of Brady. The coaches wanted Brady to play more.conservative and Bledsoe said "fuck that, go out there and sling it."

The rams started in Cleveland in the 30s and 40s, left for a year, became the LA rams from 46 - 1994, moved to Saint Louis from 95- 2015 then went back to LA. The 1999 St. Louis rams has the most talented offense in NFL History and won the super bowl

For my money DAN MARINO was the best Quarterback to ever play the game! But sadly because the Dolphins always lacked a defense and running game they kept losing to more complete teams like the Bills (a team they had once dominated for a decade) and to the Forty Niners in Marino's lone Super Bowl. So instead he goes down as the greatest QB to never win it. That said, there's just no arguing with Brady's 7 Super Bowls. It's an insane accomplishment, and the fact that he was able to leave New England and Bill Belichick and win yet another one with Tampa Bay just solidified his greatness. As for the greatest player in ANY sport ever? It's too impossible to compare different sports, but if I were forced to choose I could never pick against Michael Jordan.

It's such a great game to watch. It's a pity that it requires so much money (a lot of gear and training aparatus for so many players); it just can't happen in a lot of countries.

@@Jiff321 that's what you think. High schools that support it actually pay a lot of money for it; when they can't, football teams end up needing a Boosters club, and they often end up making so much there is a stereotype (maybe not the best word) of schools desiring the money football Boosters groups make to buy equipment, or feeling disgruntled by the amount of money that goes to them instead of education. The same can be said for college; I think of the college I went to and their football team (UMASS) which is consistently chosen as among the bottom 10-20 worst teams in the country, and yet students and faculty were always complaining about how much money from the school's budget was going to the team.

Tom Brady, Wayne Gretzky, Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Roger Federer, Sugar Ray Robinson, they all sit at the same table, IDK if it pays to think about who the greatest amongst them is. (I left out world football because I honestly don't know, from what I heard it's between Messi, Ronaldo, and Maradona but I haven't watched enough of any to have a valid opinion)

Daz, don't blow your money on this Super Bowl. It's not a great matchup - although I'm thrilled for the Bengals and hope they win - plus it's in LA so the prices will be beyond absurd. And since it's in LA most of the attention will be on everything but the actual football.

Weather you hate him or love him, I don't think there's a way anyone can deny he is pretty much the best Quarterback and one of the best players period to ever play a sport pretty much. The only real comparison IMO is Michael Jordan, and like maybe Lionel Messi. There might be a few others, but Brady is that level of skilled and he hasn't really slowed down in his later years either, which is pretty unlike anyone else in sports. You don't hear about 45 year olds doing as good as when they were like in their 20s, if not better. And that makes him one of a kind. Not to mention he holds pretty much every major and minor record in the books for football that someone in his position can hold. 12:21 is special for me as a fan of Brady and Gronk, as NO ONE thought that Tampa Bay would win that match against the Chiefs, everyone had counted Tampa Bay out (well except real fans of them), like most score lines had Chiefs winning by 1 to 2 touchdowns if I recall right. But....as we all found out, not exactly how things went down. The thing was, it wasn't even remotely close after the first quarter...like not at all.

Brady is one of the best, and I always appreciated his skill, and was not a patriot fan. He has some blemishes that not sure it will ruin his chances of getting into Football hall of fame (deflate gate/ spy gate) If you want to see interesting Football clip, look for Cleveland browns the game the NFL wants you to forget, or the browns last game at home before leaving for Baltimore. I know my comment is about to be disputed, but you guys should check out Joe Burrow and his story so far. A lot of football analysts are calling him the “closest QB to Tom Brady” (which is the disputed part). Regardless of what you think about that comparison, his story is awesome and he helped lead the Bengals to a SB appearance, potentially a win too. You guys should totally check him out 🤙🏻

You can't consider any player in the NFL to a GOAT with only two years under their belt. It's just like the talk this year about Micah Parsons and LT. It is ridiculous. I mean that and I am a long time Cowboys fan. The GOAT's did it for YEARS, not a YEAR. P.S. Go Bengals. I know I am rooting against my Conference but I do want him to beat Stafford because Stafford is shit. (I lived in Michigan for six years, he sucks.)
