Forgot how much I loved glow in the dark stuff. When one first discovers ‘glow in the dark’ things as a kid, life became slightly magical. Wish I had glow in the dark contact lenses.

One of my cousins didn't have any He-Man figures but he had a LOT of these rip offs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was another toy line that got ripped off a LOT, it was like the early 90's version of He-Man.

@@simonpaquet7161 My whole thing is if you're going to rip something off, just make it a GOOD rip-off and then people will be more inclined to accept it and to me, Biker Mice From Mars are probably the best TMNT rip-off( and there are some other good ones like Battletoads, Extreme Dinosaurs, Wild West .CO.W.- Boys Of Moo-Mesa, The Mighty Ducks cartoon, Street Sharks and Samurai Pizza Kats). I want to do my own independent comic books in the future and I even have a character that I came up with called ''Guy-Man'' that I plan on doing a graphic novel for( but the comic definitely won't be called ''Guy-Man'') and he's an unabashed parody and spoof of He-Man. I don't mind if people call him a He-Man rip-off when the comic comes out because he IS a He-Man rip-off, as long as people think that he's a GOOD He-Man rip-off and they like the character and they like the story and they think it's good, that's the most important thing. And anyway, ironically even the TMNT themselves, were a rip-off of the dark, grim and gritty Daredevil comics that Frank Miller worked on in the 1980s( and Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird have even said as much in multiple interviews). Everyone uses old ideas to make new ones- but they just like to pretend that they don't.

But what's ironic is that BOTH the TMNT and He-Man were rip-offs of something that came before them, too! He-Man was based on Conan The Barbarian and the TMNT was based on the Daredevil comics by Frank Miller from the 1980s. So I always wondered( and even hoped, really) that Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird were in turn flattered that so many people ripped off the TMNT with comics, cartoons, video games and toys.

muscle warriors is actually a spinoff of a bootleg toy line called the galaxy hero's which ALSO was another ripoff of the original galaxy warriors bootleg toy line made by the company SUNGOLD

Cool video. I feel the warlord and the warrior beasts came before because The skeletor prototype was clearly sculpted right over one of the Remco figures. Exact same torso anatomy.

Some of these are actually new to me. I wanted The Warrior Beasts guy that looked like a triceratops, but my parents knew they were knockoffs and wouldn't buy them. I mean, the other day at Dollar Tree I bought an obvious knockoff of Frozen on DVD called Ice Princess Lily, so some things never change..

When I was a kid I got the bearded pirate guy from a relative as a present, at first I was disappointed but then he became one of my favorite characters to play with. I think his biceps were bigger than he-mans

I had the AWA 3 pack with the manager babe, Precious. Used her as Teela when I lost her. Lost the 3 pack.figures too. The AWA line was awesome! Never saw The Warlord line in stores, but have seen eBay auctions for the weapons. Hoping they fit with the new MOTU Origins line!

The nightmare warriors looked cool. He-Man and the MotU were originally going to be a line based on the Conan films, but Mattel were unable to acquire the license.

I had quite a few of these. But I had mostly the AWA figures. I was a huge wrestling fan and I believe these were the only alternative to WWF figures. I still have the Road Warriors and"Big" Scott Hall.

I had this muscled marine monster kind of Mer-Man dude, loved him so much, but haven seen even a picture of him since :( it was a He Man rip foff line too i remember several enemies in the back check list :(

My Nan, (she was the best!), used to get me figures from the miniature version of Muscle Warriors called... (brace yourself!)... TREASURES OF THOSE LOST TEMPLES WARRIORS. No kidding, that's the name! Over on Phelan Porteous' channel, there's an informative and hilarious playlist called THE GALAXY ZONE all about the range. "Baltard!!!" 😉

I mean my nephew is cool and all but I think I only love him at a "Defenders of the Planets" level. When I see things like this I think about the lack of ambition of the makers of the derivatives have. They had a toy factory, they could conjure anything into being. Could've been in a Junkman video called "He-Man ripoffs that were cooler than He-Man". Instead they market to cheap relatives or pray for brand-blind kids to suddenly exist. Some of these were pretty cool looking though despite their generic 'great value' looking cards.

These guys are right! I would play with my HE MAN toys and then go out and sacrifice goats, summoned demons and cast spells on kids I didn't like 😆. Man I miss my Castle Grey Skull, Snake Mountain, and all those demonic figures. I used to drive my grandparents crazy with that microphone😅 Are you doing a live stream tonight?

Damn Junkman I made it in as the tenth view. I've been with you a while and never been this early. I had the Warlord figure and Arak from the Warlord line. I had the Road Warriors AWA figures.

Hey Junkman.... I think maybe another collection you can throw in there is: Sun-Man: Rulers of the Sun by Olmec(?) I got Sun-Man himself back in the early 90's, I think from TRU. Great video. Cool to see all the other lines, bad and good.

"Lost World of WARLORD" looks like wrestling figures... a few items up the countdown later and *boom* there's a genuine wrestling figure brand. Never saw Mr. T with He Man blond hair before either... now that's a find! "I pity the fool who hates Remco!"

Remco Board meeting circa 1983: CEO - ok gentlemen (yeah no women on board meetings back then😯...especially toy co.) what do we got? What’s hot? What do kids like now? Pee On - well sir , He - Man is red hot and selling out through the stratosphere...let’s just rip them off and make generic copycats. CEO- meeting adjourned. I actually had a few from #10:The Warlords...I just incorporated them into my He-Man playing...all good. In fact the packages even mentioned them being compatible with He-Man figures if I remember correctly.

I never understood the appeal of The Masters of the Universe figures. They're ugly, squatty, overly muscular and have almost no articulation to them at all. Plus they all basically ripoff one another. Even as a kid I hated them.
