Top 10 HillClimb Monsters || Voitsberg Bergrallye 2019

4 жыл бұрынThe last event of the Bergrallye portion of the Austrian HillClimb Championship was held in mixed weather conditions, and an entrylist featuring pretty much all the great Monsters from the country. Final Classification mirrored in some way thow the whole Season went, with many of the usual faces like Schagerl, Karl, Pailer, and Seidl being among the fastest, but also we got 2 cars that have never featured before on a Top 10 Video of ours, as Ewald Scherr in his Gabat-tuned Escort Cosworth and Harald Neuherz in his Audi Quattro S1 built for the Historic Class secured very impressive fianl placements. And to mark some history, we had Andreas Marko winning the E1-2000cc Class for the first time at the wheel of his 1.2L Turbo Audi A4 STW.
All in all, quite the eventful Race. Enjoy ;)

The fact that a 35 year old Group B car running under historic regulations can mix it with modern modified cars shows what a beast the S1 Quattro was :-)

Nice video from Voitsberg.Mixed conditions are always tricky.Speaking of cars,i like them all and i ain't gonna make favorites among cars since each is spectacular and unique in their own way.I'll mention drivers this time instead.Jurgen Halbartschlager,Manuel Seidl,Andreas Marko,Felix Pailer and Karl Schagerl impressed me the most with their performances.Wiedenhofer came a long way with his Mirage and it shows.Great performance from him.Another great Top 10,but there wasn't bad Top 10 from you,only one better than other.

There is *nothing* like the sound of an angry, bloodthirsty Cosworth powerplant, it just sounds primal. Great set of cars all around 🙂👍

The S1 is on top of my list whenever it's participating. :) So with that one out of the way, a tie between the Corrado (was in my top 3 list when I bought my second car) and the Cosworth (same).

Get the feeling they all get obsessed with power, better gains through downforce and reducing weight. Look at the spoon time attack cars killing it 200 brake less than the rest of the competition.

Suspension work, aero and handling in general takes a shit ton of knowledge, development and trial and error. Chasing power is expensive but easier. Useable power with a wide powerband takes knowledge too but not as much.

When we going to see that green yellow 993 again ? I think it was the same tier as Pailer and Schagerl, it crashed some time ago and haven't see it since. It was that seriously damaged ? Good to see Marko back.

Rupert Schwaiger´s 993 is being rebuilt and hopefully we´ll see it again next season. The damage was pretty severe but of course such a quick machine deserves to be back. And yes, Andreas Marko being back is tremendous, although he is still finding the best setup of this new 1.2L Turbo Version while solving some of the "youth issues" presented by such an innovative layout ;)

In my opinion, every race or every circuit has its appeal but for me the races at Rechberg and St. Agatha and the HillClimb in Neudorf are the absolute highlights in terms of the races in Austria. Best Regards *KDW Entertainment*

That Audi A4 STW Turbo could be my daily driver sleeper. I don't know a 1.2L Inline 4 could make sound like that, if you hear it without seeing the video it makes similar noise like a flat plane V6. Or it's just the high rpm engine or that short gear transmission shift.

I was thinking the exact same thing. The Kawasaki ninja h2r makes 310hp from a 1L, but that's at 14k rpm. This audi making 380hp at 10k rpm would be insane if it's true and must be rocking an insane amount of boost.

Será que podiam adicionar o tipo de tracção (FWD, RWD ou AWD) na descrição dos carros menos óbvios? Como os carros são altamente modificados em relação ao modelo de origem mesmo os entendidos poderão não saber. É só uma ideia, se não der tudo bem na mesma. : )

É uma ideia em que já estamos a trabalhar, pois sabemos que realmente faz diferença em alguns casos. Nesta epoca de 2019 e por uma questão de consistencia vamos continuar a usar este formato, mas para 2020 com o novo formato em que estamos a trabalhar, contamos apresentar mais informação incluindo Rodas Motrizes ;)
