The Strangers and Vacancy are a great pairing! They have similar tones and they both center on a couple that's stuck in a location and being tormented by strangers. The Strangers has always received a ton of love and I feel like Vacancy deserves that same amount of appreciation!

I’d personally pair The Strangers with When a stranger calls and Vacancy with 1408 in a quadruple feature and a bunch of junk food on my cheat day.

This is one of my favorite genres of films, and I have a lot of these from the biggest legends in horror. I have a few unknown gems that fall in this category as well. Horror is so versatile since it can be mixed with so many other genres. The last truly "fun" horror I have seen in a great while now is Cabin In The Woods. It's both an homage to the genre and classic in its own right. I honestly would love to see Peter Jackson go back to when he made fun horror films. Sam Rami as well, and someone needs to pull to get John Carpenter back in the directors chair. With greats like Wes Craven, Tobe Hooper, George Romero, and others being gone, we could use some thrilling escapism in our society.

If you're not into zombies, I could see watching From Dusk Till Dawn with John Carpenters Vampires. If it's more humor you want, then go with Evil Dead 1 or 2 with Dead Alive aka Brain Dead. Honestly, I could give you suggestions for days on this. Like I said before, I got a lot of films myself, and a large majority are all horror.

I'd say Friday the 13th Part 4 is better than The Burning, but after that 😬. Betsy Palmer's is phenomenal and I love how she just goes for it. 🖤

I need to watch The Burning, always wanted to, love Sleepaway Camp. I didn't really care for As Above So Below, but I would say The Cave/The Descent would be a great double feature. I just revisited The Cave (from 2005) & it holds up pretty well. (no US blu-ray though) Midsommar had to grow on me, I like it the more every time I watch it. but my 1st viewing I didn't care for it, but so glad I gave it a 2nd/3rd chance

@@Franksmediaandreviews it might be in your DVD book 🤣 it doesn't have a US blu-ray, but the DVD holds up very well & ive sure you can find it super cheap, I just rewatched it about a week ago. I almost did a video about how great The Cave would look on 4K (might still). It's very similar to the Descent, but more "Hollywood" made

The Shinning/Doctor Sleep not considered horror? I always thought they were. I know not slasher but I always thought of them as horror

Oh, they're definitely horror. For me, I didn't want my top 10 to be an original movie paired with another same franchise movie. I wanted the pairings to be separate.
