Tidal Gardens for noise I'd say rock wool insulation and acoustic foam, the foam can be bought in different size, color & patterns and be used as a decorative accent. I didn't see ceiling fans in the new building, have you thought about air movement? And last, I've gained interest in the commercial skimmers you run and was curious if you had video on it? That way I can avoid calling you while you're busy. There's just not much video or information on them, some of the KZfaq footage I see is 7+ years old.

I often believe that if you don't have haters in this world and hating on you the better you are doing. It's good to have a hate fan base in general. It gives you an overall presence of accomplishment. Once you start to acknowledge it that is. IMO some people take it offensive at first until they realize the one getting all the hate is because they are actually doing better than the haters in the long term. Such as jealousy or envy.

The makeup brush is such a great idea! But for anyone who doesn't know a thing about makeup it holds lots of oils and gross stuff in brushes even after washing so a new one is worth it you can get them cheap anywhere!

I use a digital food thermometer to check the aquarium temp. I also use the Zeiss lens wipes from walmart to clean the exterior glass of my tank -- leaves no streaks and gets it crystal clear! Also, the egg crate diffuser comes in handy for making a cover for your tank that still lets the light and air through. If you go on a trip for a few days and want someone to feed your fish for you, you could leave dry food like flakes and pellets in a 7-day pill box that has the exact amount of food you want delivered. There are even AM and PM pill boxes in case they need to be fed twice per day.

for sound deadening. Egg crate foam. it's super cheap and easy to put up and take down. I would consider putting some on your walls and even ceilings. you could also hang them from the ceiling. you could take the acrylic crates for the lighting and glue or eve zip-tie the foam to them. the acrylic usually comes in 2x2 or 2x4 foot panels. whatever you do don't put in a drop ceiling. they are dusty and in a humid environment the grid will rust unless you spend a ton of cash on the all aluminum grid.

Fantastic videos thank you so much for sharing your knowledge I have a suggestion for a alternative to the make up brush many artist brushes are made of natural materials which are inert and really hang onto their bristles quite well they come in so many different textures and some are very soft and some are slightly stiff or they could be used for so many different applications such as a fan brushes could be used to gently get down in between cracks and crevices I love to use artist brushes there also longer and sometimes easier to manipulate also in the arts section of your local craft store artists use wooden tools to stir and manipulate their paint or to scrape and various other applications these little wooden tools come with so many different shaped heads flat heads and pointy heads and the like they’re incredibly useful and some of them are quite disposable so if they get doll or become less useful you can just toss them and get a whole new bag for really cheap

Advice.. only the black name brand cable ties are uv resistant.. if exposed to UV buying the proper cable ties matters greatly. You’re talking .10 more a tie for 100x longer use. It’s one thing that’s not really worth cheating out on. On pumps and powerhead cleaning.. no need to scrub with vinegar water solution.. plug them in and let them run in a bucket and they self clean. I’ll add you can also put other equipment in with pumps and clean both at same time again wo scrubbing. I missed in the video of you said the right mix ratio.. but 2/1 makes quick work and a small rubbermaid tote packed with all equipment and few power heads or pumps will work wonders in short time. I then drain and fill with regular tap water and use same method to rinse..

I’m trying to find videos which identify hitchhikers that come along in your tank when I set up my first saltwater tank I purchased live rock from the store I got everything on that live rock from sea stars to shrimp to these crazy brown worms with feathery faces I can’t identify these worms they’re definitely not bristle worms which is what everybody usually suggest they look a lot more like an earthworm or even a bloodworm but they aren’t blood worms if anybody has some references that they could steer me towards that might have the taxonomy of various types of sea worms it would be greatly appreciated they tend to move along the surface of the sand and sometimes bro down into the sand and also occupy holes in my live rock they appear to eat brown diatoms I have taken pictures of them to my local hobby shops and no one can tell me what they are some people say they think that they’re perfectly fine and others say that when they become large they could become predatory and I are to remove them now my young daughter is enamored with them however and just thinks they’re the greatest things so if anyone could advise me so I don’t have to break her heart by taking these creepy worms out of the tank I would really appreciate it

Michelle irby We usually do keep that type of animal in a reef tank. It is an interesting and active animal that might be best kept in a species tank. You could get an emperor shrimp to cohabit with it; it will ride the worm at times. 😉 Saw that in a LFS a while ago, it was really neat.
