Most of these bosses are not that hard, you forget The Imprisoned...that boss was really annoying.

Calamity Ganon isn’t hard. He just has WAAAY too much health.

You should spend more time ordering these. I felt like the actual difficulty in these were scrambled all over the place. And Stallord was fun who are you kidding?

For me personally, Bongo Bongo, (from Ocarina of Time), is one of the hardest bosses in the series. I always had so much trouble loading and firing an arrow quick enough when he came in for a charge.

Ghirahim in Skyward Sword was an absolute *nightmare.* The Wii Plus motion controls make his battles mad difficult because while it does make for an interesting concept and fight, the technology just isn’t there yet. I’d do an upward-right slash and Link would just do a basic right slash. I found myself having to stop and come back over the course of about a week before I finally beat that demon fuck.

Calamity Ganon as an honourable mention? He’s one of the easiest bosses ever if you play through the main story...

No Skyward sword bosses? Ghirahim? Demise? Come on man!

Thunderblight Ganon was hard, especially when trying to get a picture of him

The horseback fight with Ganon on Twilight Princess was so freaking hard because of the redesigned controls for Epona, I just could not get used to it and it made the fight harder than it actually was on the gamecube.

Shadow Link in OoT can be cheesed with the Giant's Knife. He always tries to jump on your sword when you swing it. So, buy the infamous knife and break it before the battle. Swing the broken knife and he'll try to jump on it. Since there's nothing to jump on, he'll be left vulnerable to an attack.

Vaati wasn't hard, he was good Boss design, he tested the players skills and knowledge in what they learned throughout the game in order to defeat him, this is exactly how a final game boss should be designed.

Demise from skyward sword was super hard. I only managed to beat him because I had an invincibility potion. The bosses on his list can be tricky but I wouldn't say rage quit

When I fought Moldorm in ALTTP I litterely threw my controller in rage.... Defined the hardest and most frustrating boss in my opinion!

Try going against Bongo Bongo in the Shadow Temple Boss fight. If you run out of arrows and/or magic, you're SCREWED! It'll make you rage quit, guaranteed.

Where is Twinmold from Majora's mask 3D? That boss was really frustrating. That is the number one most frustrating boss in the Zelda franchise for me.

Thunderblight Ganon isn't actually that hard but the method to take him down is very specific and need to be done perfectly that's even more frustrating

Twin-Rova was a pain, but I think the worst was Phantom Ganon. I messed up the Bat-a-Beam at the end sooooo much. It was always one of the last in the sequence, and it frustrated me to no end.

For Dark Link, I've discovered that if you just swing wildly without targeting, you are far more likely to have an easier time against him!

Word of advice: Just because a boss has "Annoying" tendencies, doesn't mean it's a "Hard" boss. As someone who loves Zelda and the challenges it has to offer, this listing felt really lackluster. I agree with #1 as being a hard boss, but putting something like Stallord on the list... Even putting puppet ganon over the Thunder Bird!? This whole thing needs to be properly evaluated by actual zelda fans.

A real Zelda fan wouldn't rage quit because Link's courage would help us keep fighting. But the Water Temple in OOT, now thats a different story.

4:27 the only thing to me thats hard about Puppet Ganon is trying to keep a steady nerve with his creepy movement, and thats the best thing about him honestly.

The final battle against Imprisoned should be on here. The motion controls with the Wii remote make him obnoxious and somewhat challenging. Also what's crazy in Breath of the Wild I think some spawning monsters are stronger than the Gannon's except Thunder blight.

Honestly twinmold in majora’s mask 3D was hard since you couldn’t use your sword like the original so killing it before time runs out is hard

Tentalus in Skyward Sword. When you're trying to use the Skyward Strike to cut the tentacles, they grab you frequently so you have to shake like mad to get free, only for another to grab you seconds afterward

Imprisoned should've been up there since you've got to face it 3 times and it's frustrating dealing with it every single time.

I don't struggle with many zelda bosses but the 3 I did have a hard time with were Gyorg from MM, Thunderblight ganon from BOTW and puppet ganon(snake form) from WW. Those 3 all made me almost rage quit they were so difficult.

Not even sure if I'm around halfway through BOTW, but it's encouraging to know Thunderblight Ganon was my first boss and beat him with 5 hearts.

I agree that Dark Link is a massive pain in the butt to beat in OoT (the only Zelda game I’ve played), but I thought that the electrified parasite in Jabu Jabu’s belly and the Shadow Temple Boss were harder to beat than Twinrova.

Taking down "Monk Maz Koshia" is VERY satisfying due to getting the Master Cycle Zero as a reward. You can even use that thing in the last stage of the final boss fight.

what about the original legend of zelda? this game had some hard boses too,ganon was hard for all the wrong reasons and that dragon with the multiple heads was a dense motherfucker that was really hard to kill.

I actually took down thunderblight Ganon on the first try. I was super surprised that I did it when one of my friends struggled so much.

I actually loved the Stallord and Koloktos bosses!

I remember the first time I played through Majora's Mask. I went through all of the moon dungeon trials to get the Fierce Deity's Mask, and when I finally got it, I actually played the Song of Time, as I feared that if I won the fight, with no way to save the game, I'd lose the Fierce Deity Mask, but my thoughts about losing the Fierce Deity Mask from winning the fight and keeping it from playing the Song of Time was actually backwards from the truth, as I found out playing the Song of Time after getting the Fierce Deity Mask without beating the final boss actually makes you lose the mask, but winning the fight allows you to keep it. I was stunned when I booted up my save file after watching the credits to find out that the Fierce Deity Mask was still in my inventory. But it wasn't the boss fight itself that was very hard, as you said, it's pretty easy to beat Majora's Mask with the Fierce Deity's Mask. The hard part was going through those moon dungeons twice. And that was quite a pain, especially with the Goron one where there were so many pits to fall off of and it took me tries and tries to get through it. Pretty much, it depended on luck since I wasn't all that good at it. As for the fight with Gyorg, I remember that whenever I played the original Nintendo 64 version of the game, I would always fill all my bottles with fairies since I knew there was no way I could avoid getting caught in Gyorg's mouth enough times to get killed. But I later figured out that if I get onto the platform after each hit, I can avoid getting caught by Gyorg's mouth so many times. Did this keep me from getting caught at all? No, but it did keep me from getting caught as many times as before and with this strategy, I was able to beat Gyorg without dying once. As for the 3DS remake, that one was a bit harder since I had to be constantly swimming and that I needed to time my swimming movements perfectly in order to get the mines to set off when Gyorg tried sucking me in. A con with the 3DS remake's version of the fight is that on the Nintendo 64 version, you could beat Gyorg in seconds when you got the Fierce Deity's Mask, but in the remake, you could only use the Fierce Deity's Mask during the first half of the fight since Fierce Deity Link can't fight underwater. Although I think there should have been an added mechanic to where Fierce Deity Link could use sword beams while swimming. Another bad part about this is that if you want to quickly get through all the bosses in a single cycle, or at least for Great Bay, in the 3DS remake, you couldn't do it that quickly since the second half of the battle has to be done the same way as the first time fighting this boss, swimming under the water. Oh man! Who's idea was it to make that boss fight a little more difficult. And yes, I know that the remake also make it so that the Twinmold boss fight forces you to use the Giant's Mask to beat the red one and that unlike in the Nintendo 64 version, where both worms could be beaten without the Giant's Mask, in the 3DS remake, the red one requires it.

Gyorg was the reason why I never beat Majora's Mask on the N64, but the 3DS version was a cake walk!

The only one I agree with is Gyorg. Zelda has a wonderful reputation for it's bosses, and none of them are poorly designed or rage-inducing.

The shadow drummer himself was the hardest in Ocarina. Twinrova was one of the easiest between the first and second dungeon.

Thunderblight was the first time ever in a Zelda game that I exited a boss fight to gear up. Got the master sword and rubber armor then it was still a decent challange.

I can definitely agree on thunderblight Ganon. He is legitimately hard, and the play through book I got with the game had him suggested to be taken on second after waterblight Ganon. On top of that, I hadn’t yet learned about the great fairy enhancing armor for Link, so I lost several times.

Okay this is incorrect ! To put the spinner boss stallord which is my favorite and not that bird from sky temple I can defeat calamity ganon and not wanna quit it took me a month to successfully beat the last boss before the twilight temple it made ganon and zant feel really easy

I don’t remember any zelda bosses making me rage quit or even have much of a problem with them….I loved fighting thunder blight gannon the most because he was actually the most difficult to me and stallord was a fun fight and literally the best use of the spinner

Fun fact. Dark Link in Ocarina of Time always has the same amount of hearts that the player does. If you do a 3 hearts playthrough, you can just spam Din's Fire on Dark Link.

There is always a way to make dark Link easier. Zelda 2 you just hang out on the left side of the screen. Ocarina of Time, all you have to do is face him with only 3 hearts and he goes down in 1 hit with Biggoron’s Sword. Twinrova is easy if you have Biggoron’s Sword. After knocking her down, 2 jump attacks will beat her.

I remember Thunderblight Ganon not being difficult as in killing me, but difficult to get the timing for flurry rush down. This resulted in over ten minutes of nobody hitting anyone, which was more annoying than anything else.

Thunderblight is hard if you arent prepared, if your prepaired its a breeze, and also use statis, it saved my life so many times.

Koloktos from Skyward Sword. He just puts himself back together SO. MANY. TIMES. If he had a visible health bar (and if the whip controls weren’t so glitchy), that fight would be much more bearable.

I think the big contributor to Thunderblight is the room you fight him in, at least that was my experience. He was my first blight and holy crap I struggled through it.

Maz Koshia was so hard and I felt so GOOD when I beat him. I felt like I just won the lottery.

Stallord was always easy for me. When ever I have played Twilight princess I literally transformed my mind from playing a video game to that of a warrior. I took taekwondo multiple times as a kid making it up to purple belt. Every time I tried to get to Black belt, life always got in the way. Whenever I fight a boss I always treat it as if it was an actual fight to the death. I know it sounds crazy to a lot of people, but being a warrior second nature to me. In the real world if you don't think on your feet, you die.

This is why I love Breath of the Wild. None of the bosses are mind-numbingly unfair.

I have to give honorable mention to Moldarach from Skyward Sword. It's not a particularly difficult boss, but trying to get it to appear by using the Gust Bellows to blow sand around gets pretty tricky. At least it has some fucking awesome music. The Mining Facility one, anyway.

Ngl ThunderBlight Ganon killed me more than once during my first playthrough. Had me really mad at one point.
