I started collecting Indian Heads roughly 3 years ago. I have had to settle my desire to have all MS65 RD coins. Currently I have about 20% of the entire collection, most at MS65, but I did settle for less on an NGC XF45 1877, which I bought from David Lawrence for $2750. I managed to score on an NGC MS65 RD 1908s, and an NGC AU55 Brown for 725. This is my favorite set of coins now, surpassing my love of Mercury Dimes, Morgan Dollars, and Walking Liberty Quarters.

I have a 1909 Gold Indian Head Penny preserved in a small leather folding envelope, and has a necklace ring. . I've been researching this and found it was common, however, what I haven't been able to find is another, that has an upside down sitting eagle on the back side. Can you enlighten me on this penny please?

I have noticed all these coins are bright have they all been cleaned up? I am not a collector but my grandfather left me a pile of Indian heads like 22. 1909. All the way back to 1850’s Probably total some 150 or more who would I contact to find a current value

No they have not been cleaned, just impeccably preserved. And please do not try to clean your coins either, the chance of damaging them is too great. You can look prices up online or get hold of a copy of the red book, there's a link in the video description to that. Thanx for watching

These coins tend to hold their value, but it is difficult to say what will happen in the long run. I certainly wouldn't hoard them for investment as they are quite expensive. Get it for your collection if you like it.

It's a fairly common date as it was the 1st bronze composition. There is a variety that has the letter "L" on Liberty's hair ribbon. That coi is worth quite a bit, again depending on grade. Thanx for watching

depends on the grade of the coin, in a high grade possible, but it is fairly small and magnification would be better. It is located on the smsall ribbon right under the headdress.

1906 is quite a common date, so even in VF to EF conditions it can sell for around $10 -$20 Thanx for watching

1888 isn't exactly a scarce date so it's probably worth around $5 - $20. Unless you have the 1888/7 variety then it's worth a lot. Thanx for watching
