Some of the Peace Dollar Coins worth money are the Low Mintage coins in the series that you can look for such as the 1921 high relief PEace Dollar. Thanks for putting the whole presentation together. Your materials are a good reference for beginner like me. I started to collect them at the beginning of this year and try to get all MS64 grade. I mainly focus on the key date coins first since they are very hard to find. I was lucky enough to acquire both 1921 and 1928P peace dollars in the past two months. They both are white coin with CAC label. Now I continue my challenge on the nice 1927 and 1934 series.

Congrats! Yeah, finding a lot of these with blazing white fields can be a challenge. They have a serious tendency to tone golden yellow. Some people actually like that, but I'm like you too - I prefer the blazing white look. Like they just came out of the mint. MS64 is generally a very good level for peace dollars as well, for some of the more common dates you can probably shoot a bit higher for about the same price in some cases. The important thing though is to get a good quality coin with as few bag marks as possible, as that (and the golden toning) is the bain of this series. Thanx for watching

Thanks for your tip. :) Yes. I am shooting for higher grade on the common date Peace Dollar (PD). I am very picky about them and try not to pick the one with many bag marks. I like toned coin only if they are natural rainbow. Many PD didn't tone as nice as Morgan Dollar(MD) unless they have been processed through electrochemistry(Artificially toned). I got one common date of natural rainbow toned MD by luck in the local coin shop and it has been sent to PCGS with other coins for grading. Are you collecting PD as well? Is it a good idea to buy raw PD from local/online dealers and send them in for grading?

Great thing about peace dollars is that apart from maybe 2 or three coins is that you can pretty much build a complete run for not too much money. That's if you're not too picky about grades. Thanx for watching

The first silver dollars were minted in 1794. The only silver dollars that are minted today are commemorative coins and numismatic items. No silver dollars in circulation anymore. Thanx for watching

It was so long ago. I remember the conversation of the men about silver dollar of their youth. Johnson was a good man for giving the dollars back again. The drive said he had gotten it in Denver at Bar. I could get my own when they came out. He was carrying produce from California.

High Numisman,Great video as always, I found another 2 cent with more Die cracks Will upload video soon. I have posted a video of a 1868 Flying eagle cent (i couldn't find a video on your channel for them) I think it may have some sort of error on it,Again probably nothing but if you get a minute your expert eye would be welcomed !

Hey there 420. Interresting coins. The 2 cent is desinately a die crack. That is a good example of how a cus might occur with the crack running over the rim like that. In a later die state the die would weaken across that line and finally break completely. As for the flying eagle - that's an interresting one. I'd love to get a closer look at it. What is going on under the "E" of "STATES", is that a pitmark or a hole? As for the eagle - Definately not doubling. Actually has the look of a re-engraved die, where the engraver tried to extend the working life of an older die by "sharpening" the details. But I'd have to get a closer look at it in order to be sure. Nice finds, though. Thanx for watching

Hey Newman I picked up a 1961 silver quarter in mint condition I'm talking to Mint Condition I was looking at it it has eight tail feathers on the eagle is her so you're only supposed to be 7

OK, Interresting. So yes there is only supposed to be 7 tail feathers on a standard design. There are a few instances of re-engraved tail feathers, but that is mostly seen on 1957 coins and the like. Off the top of my head I can't think of any reverse deign variety with an additional tail feather, so it might be doubling is you are seeing 8. Nice Find! Thanx for watching
