Tom's WTF look killed me.

"American Seiko" was a great film.

Q in James Bond was 'Major Boothroyd'. A gun enthusiast one Major Bothroyd wrote to Ian Fleming and politely pointed out that Fleming didn't know WTF he was talking about when it came to guns in the early books, in particular with Bond pulling a Walther PPK out of a Berns Martin holster, a holster designed for revolvers. The Berns Martin was essentially a leather covered bulldog clip, shaped to grip the cylinder of a revolver.. Fleming and Boothroyd got along, with Fleming borrowing Boothroyds iconic customised S & W .38 Special M & P to use for the artwork for the cover for "From Russia with Love." In honour of his friend who had acted as armourer to Bond, Fleming called Q Major Boothroyd in subsequent books. Of course in the photoshoot for the film, Connery is seen holding not a Luger as is often supposed but a Walther LP53 air pistol. The PPK failed to turn up in time, so they used the photographers personal LP53. I have one, it's lovely. And you though you were a nerd.

My first movie watch is the Arnie!! Have been looking for bot Giugiaros as well. Seiko definitely have a lot of great watches and value for money. A very nice subtle touch referencing the totally fictional movie Pleasure Island.

It’s an obvious one but I never here anyone talk about Apollo 13 and the Omega Speedmaster. Epic film and epic timepiece.

My favorite watch in a movie was the Squale Rambo that Jackie Chan wore in Operation Condor (U.S. title--I think originally it was called Armour of the Gods 2). The dial face flipped out on a hinge and beneath it was a compass. I thought that was the coolest thing as a kid.

That ending is classic.

Story goes that Cubby Broccoli used his personal 6538 for the first Bond. It was on a leather strap and the RAF strap (not a NATO) that Connery uses didn't come about until Goldfinger.

The 'Elvis watch' was also a favourite of US President Lyndon Johnson,. the Ventura's motif, shown on the new versions, that jagged line, is an evocation of an electric current, because the Ventura is one of the most important watches in history. If I recall correctly, it was the first watch to get the Electric 500 movement, the first electronic watch movement in the world, released 12 years before Seiko caused the quartz crisis, and a year before Bulova released the Acutron. It was the most 'futuristic' watch you could get in 1957, showed the future of watchmaking in years to come (of course, it was Seiko who ultimately mastered that future, the Electric 500 was notoriously finnicky and unreliable, and prone to failures, so did not live long, but still iconic and of great import to the watch world).

Still no mention of C.F. Bucherer “John Wick” watch. Appears in all 4 installments. What’s more, all the characters wear C.F. Bucherer! Interesting marketing strategy IMO.

Just for the record, the Monaco you have pictured was a 2015 reissue. The original version has round pushers, as did the Autavia, Carrera and Monza, which all featured the new Chronomatic calibre.

The Hamilton Khaki Field is also on the wrist of the protagonist of Scorsese's After Hours, one of my favorite films.

How could you miss out Arnie with Seiko or Willard Seiko.

The watch James had on when he used the laser to cut through the floor of the train... There was no co-axial escapement... It was a Quartz Seamaster. An automatic Seamaster wouldn't feature on his wrist until the following film Tomorrow never dies.
