You know batoning doesn’t even really do much to the edge because the knife is acting as a wedge and the edge doesn’t even hardly touch the wood once it’s in. That said 1095 isn’t the best for edge retention admittedly. Just because I like a knife, this one mostly because it was my knife in the Marines doesn’t mean I can’t admit flaws with it.

@@e.dewildt8608 I might try that, I know the edge retention not gonna be the same on the bk7, Esee 6, and tops SH. If I was gonna guess I think I’d bet on the Fobos in magnacut having the best. I have part 7 filmed and will be uploading it tomorrow. It’s gonna be value. How good/bad a value some of these are. A but if a teaser but the BK7 which I like does pretty bad on this part

@@e.dewildt8608 I’d honestly rather see a BK7 in CPM3V or 52100 in all honestly. This is what I’d like to see out of them. They continue to make their 1095, but also make a premium series for guys like me that at dedicated knife guys and have it in one of those two steels I mentioned.
