My absolute favorite badass moment is when Angelus says “take all that away, what’s left?” “ME”

I agree BUT, you missed the actual most "badass" bit out of the number one! The no weapons, no friends, no hope, take all that away and what's left ....... *ME*

Correct choice for #1. My favorite part about that scene, though, is actually before it. She's fighting Angel and he corners here with a sword and he's taunting her, saying something like "No friends, no strength, no hope. Take those away and what do you have?" and then he thrusts the sword at her. She catches the sword with her eyes closed and says "Me." and then proceeds to kick his ass. Idk why but that is the most badass thing I've ever seen on screen lol.

Buffy started a chain reaction. Every other vampire series and TV shows reference, Buffy. This is the original and still the best. Even True Blue mentions Buffy and Blade. This series had such an impact on society

YESSS. Honestly can't get enough of Buffy appreciation videos. One of the greatest milestones in tv history.

Buffy turning God mode in Season 4 to fight Adam was so badass. Ends up using a spell to invoke the power of each Slayer throughout history to block his bullets with magic, turn his missiles into birds and then completely owning him by ripping out his heart. Go Buffy!

Great list, but needs her Gandhi impression. Also, killing Angel was a little more heartbreaking than badass, but her "me" moment just before killing Angel definitely WAS the all time most badass thing she did.

My favorite Buffy moment (not necessarily badass though) is when she meets Dracula and he introduces himself, and her first response is "Get out!" like she was starstruck. I love it!

okay the rocket launcher was badass sure, but i thought the following scene when she whipped angelus and kicked him the nuts was WAY more badass. and the most badass moment of all for me is this one exchange "take all that away and whats left" ... catches the sword with her bare hands "me".

Just saying, season 5 was GREAT. Yes, Dawn was annoying... she was meant to be that way. She's also young, some of her actions, I understand, looking at the circumstances and her age (watching the serie as an adult made me see things under another light). Though, that's not what makes season 5 awesome. C'mon, Glory was GLORIOUS. She's one of the best Buffy villains. I absolutely loved it. And the seasons holds a couple of great episodes too, and one that was as painful to watch as it is praised today, The Body.

It was 3 times: 1) Drowned by the Master, 2) Jumping off the gantry and through the portal at the end of season 5, AND, 3) after Warren shot her in Season 6. Willow stopped the Doctors during surgery, and Buffy flatlined for a little while before dark Willow healed the wounds.

I love Buffy so much. When I'm having a bad day, I bingewatch it.

THB the are COUNTLESS moments. SMG is an ACT-TRESS and has talent for days. She would bring the smallest of scenes to life with just her eyes alone. She totally embodied the darkness of seasons 2 and 6 taking us with her. It's an emotional whirlwind! Buffy is quality over quantity, cheesy 90s effects and all!

Nah, I was willing to overlook the several factual inaccuracies, but the most badass moment was when she beat the shit out of Hell God Glory with that hammer and talked shit the whole time.

Im a 34 year old man, 115 kg, long hair, beard and kind of metalhead and i still love this show. I saw all 7 seasons 10 times minimum. I liked to see, how a little girl, she was 15 when she gets her power i think, grow up in just a few years to an extremly strong leader for this other fighters. And not just Buffy, i like all charakters even the the Bad Guys ;) Thank you Joss Whedon

“The Freshmen” should have been on here! Buffy at the end of the episode once she gains her confidence back is so badass! That scene with Sunday “the arm is hurt, not broken/let me answer that question with a head butt/ in the five seconds it will take for you to turn to dust, I think you’ll find the mistake was touching my stuff” followed by the backhand stake throw with “I’m good”....SHOOK

Just finished this show for the FIRST time EVER on Hulu & I absolutely fell in love with it.

This was one of my favorite shows. I still enjoy watching the reruns from time to time. Buffy is a perfect example of ‘girl power’. I liked how the show portrayed her as a strong (as in super strength), heroic, attractive woman with super strength, able to kick ass, fight the bad guys, have a love life, yet still be considered feminine, sexy and show vulnerability.

Never missed an episode. Waiting for the new first run eps was almost mental torture. To this day, it's still one of my all time favorites.

I was a teen when this show aired live and people didn't respect it than nearly as much as they do today, back than everyone thought it was corny, now it's one of my fave shows ever! I hope new generations keep watching it, tv was different back than!!

I would change places #3 and #1. When she speaks with Dawn then runs (not walks looking back but runs to her end!!) and jumps into the cloud - it's really a breath taking moment of all show!

There were too many epic moments to count in Buffy, but my favourite was that one little scene of the battered wife awakening her slaying power. You just know that guy's gonna get the beatdown of his life.

They missed the "I'm The Thing Monsters Have Nightmares About" speech from "Showtime".

What about the hell dimension in Anne? I mean the whole situation with the scythe is badass as hell! Also, there's the underrated first fight with Spike when she goes through the air vents like in Die Hard (hence the episode's paraphrased title of "School Hard"). Then there's "The Harvest" when her badassery is first displayed, the grinding of the Master's bones (oh the emotional catharsis), the "Lie to Me" speech, her defeat of Kralik and her continual rebellion against the Council... I guess what I'm trying to say is that, as much as I agree with the picks, the fact that a list of only 10 was compiled at all is kind of an insult to how awesome Buffy is.

I would say when Buffy finds out Spike got a soul was also very tear jerking.

This show defined my high school years. I was a grade behind Buffy. I own the whole show in on DVD. I would never get tired of videos on this show. "Saddest moments" would be a debat, indeed!. "Once more with feeling" is an episode were the villian actually wins."the truth shall set you free!"

#1 was correct!!! I remember crying when she jumped to her death and when she killed Angel. This was my fav show. I remember it well I was in high school. Also liked when she told Dracula to f off. When Faith came back was pretty epic and when Spike called her a bitch was so hilarious.

Great list, I love me some Buffy. I pretty much agreed with every single choice on here. My favorites on here is when she fights Faith and when she pulls out that grenade launcher. Her death in "The Gift" and killing Angel are badass but sad as hell. Oh I love in the series finale when they make so many girls into slayers. I feel that should of been number one, it still gives me chills when I see it.

What was missing was "Showtime" from Season 7 when Buffy kills the uber vamp. That Neanderthal vampire was older than the Master. When she was bad was also a great episode when she kills all the vamps near the end and crushes the Master's bones into talcum powder! But beating Faith was awesome too!

Anybody remember the graduation episode not being aired ? Buffy was my show back then. They rarely have shows were true power is one owns strength and friendship.

Damn... now I want to watch the whole show again. And did anyone notice that the scene where Captain Marvel finally unleashes her inner powers is almost a carbon copy of the scene where Buffy shares her power ? Loved it but nothing can top the original, and the message that power needs to be shared to be effective... an act of pure selflessness, knowing she will no longer be The One. I love Buffy, one of the very best TV shows ever, and what female characters !

I agree with #1 but wasn't it more she had to stab him because that was the only way to shut the portal, not because she was "protecting herself." I mean she knew full well his soul was back but that she had no choice except to sacrifice him because there was no other way to close the portal. That whole scene with the fighting, catching the sword and her sacrifice of someone she loved and sending them to hell for the good of the world was what made that whole ending episode emotionally powerful.

I like when she pushes the demon guy off the platform without even looking at him in The Gift. It's so nonchalant which shows exactly how much she doesn't care about him he was trying to kill her sister and he threw Spike off the platform just before that. They actually left my favourite bit of that moment out of this video.
