I'd say Felicia breaking down when she discovers it's BJ's heart, Tony laying his head on Maxie's chest post heart transplant, and Stone saying "I see you, Robin!" right before passing away from AIDS were the top 3 serious tearjerker moments that still get to me

Ok I have watched this soap since the 90's and you missed one event that was incredible that everyone remembered because it was seared in our brains. Robin is giving a speech about Stone and she is dedicating his part of the AIDS blanket she breaks down and Jason wraps her in the blanket and carries her off stage!!! THAT WAS A MOMENT

That’s actually my favorite scene of all time on GH. Jason & Robin were my favorite pairing and when Kimberly came back to the show I wanted them to reunite so bad. I never cared for Scrubs, or JaSam. The only other Jason pairing I enjoyed was Liason.

Luke and Laura's wedding always bothered me, actually, because he had once violently raped her. The idea of falling madly in love with your rapist was kind of a slap in the face to real-life victims. Sorry.

Edward's (john Ingle's) last scene with Tracy was very emotional. We had two amazing actors that really defined Edward Quartermain, but the later really tugged at my heart with his final acting scenes.

What about Lucky's believed death in the fire? I think that should have been on there somewhere, especially being Luke and Laura's son and then the amazing romance that had filled the show of Lucky and Elizabeth after her rape.

That storyline while impressive dud irreparable damage to the Spencer's and was a factor in the end of Luke and Laura's relationship. Fans are still pissed that they broke up and derailed 20 years of history.

Absolutely loved watching GH. From fifth grade to about 2007. It just became too mob centered for me. I'm so sad we've lost so many talented and amazing actors. May they all rest in peace. 🕊️❤️🙏

Sam losing Baby Lila is one of the best storylines, one of the best acted episodes, and when I go back watch the moment it still deliver a gut punch. It also launched Jason and Sam, the Supercouple of the show's 2000s but as much as Luke and Laura's wedding was a pop culture moment... what you forgot in your description is that it should have never happened because Luke sexually assaulted his future wife and is an example of another soap opera trope... the bad rewrite which is something did recently on General Hospital when they ruined Jason and Carly's iconic friendship by trying to rewriting back into a romance and the show has still not fully recovered.

Not going to lie, I was mad that they brought Robin back. I had grown to love Sabrina and Patrick together. I loved Sabrina so much and I hated how they brought her character to an end

I wasn’t upset Robin came back, but I never cared for Scrubs and the only time I liked Patrick was when he was paired with Sabrina. I liked Sabrina with Michael too. I was always hoping Jason would come to his senses and want Robin back they were my favorite couple of all time.

Now we have memories of Sprina in Greenland and NYC, Ace being swapped from Spencer to Nikolas, Spencer saving Trina from Esme at the cost of his life, the death of Epiphany Jones and the death of Ryan Chamberlain when Ace was born.

When Robert and Anna found out Sean broke up their marriage. When Alan dropped a roof top on Monica and Rick. GH used to be so good and not just Sonny central.

Standards were different then and the chemistry between Genie and Tony was amazing. I think if it was a drinken one night stand with Laura disillusioned with Scotty and sleeping with Luke after a couple of drinks, it wouldn't have been so controversial

I watched GH religiously from the 60’s with my mother and grandmother until the 90’s with my teenage daughters. I’d have to say for me it was Elizabeth’s rape that was the dramatic. She was attacked in the last scene on a Friday afternoon and I literally spent the entire weekend worrying about a fictional character in a fictional story.

Luke & Laura, as magical as their wedding was, their start as a couple was anything but. Becoming the original "super couple" of daytime started out with Luke raping Laura at the Campus Disco, Laura lying about who it was that raped her, then her falling in love with him (she was newly-married to Scott Baldwin) and them going on the run together when mob boss Frank Smith put a hit on Luke. For all the glory surrounding the storyline of Luke & Laura and how that catapulted General Hospital into the #1 slot, let's not forget how they started.

I remember when the show wasn’t over saturated with CarSon/JaSam and every other character just getting crumbs. Now it’s any character not in Carly’s orbit who gets crumbs. Plus they are trying to rewrite history making Jason a saint. Sam a bad mother. Laura a moron. Sonny the villain. Nothing currently on the show actually checks out with the history longtime viewers like myself have watched. There are so many problems with the GH of today. The #1 being every character has to kiss up to Carly and she never pays for any of her bad decisions. The scribes trying to make viewers love her and fit her into this heroine matriarch role isn’t working either.

@@houstonsportstalk yeah but Lucky became brainwashed and his character was utterly derailed afterwards. Things were going so well for Lucky, he was set to become GHs next hero but then the fire happened and it basically imploded the Spencers to the point of no return
