I see that difference between usa and uk in the famous charity singles the clearest. In we are the world its "oh theyre just like us and were so cool for helping" while in do they know its christmas its "they literally got it pretty shitty with no food and water innit"

British smoke alarms have batteries to power them, so they need to be checked fairly regularly to make sure the batteries aren’t’ dead, or the alarm just won’t work. I presume the US smoke alarms are the same. I think you are supposed to check your smoke alarms monthly, but I’m not sure. They are supposed to start beeping if the batteries need changing, and generally they do, but sometimes if your smoke alarm is old and faulty, they don’t, I have found.

TBH a lot of smoke alarms that get put in over here now are linked back to the mains, especially in rented accomodation. Sometimes they're still battery though, especially the interlinked ones

Shows how long it is since we’ve bought a smoke alarm! I think I threw the old one away and never bothered to replace it. Bloody stupid, I know, and I will get one this week. 😔

Try the drink drive commercials, or the railway safety commercials. Here in England we (used to) teach our children the consequences of their behaviour, now not so much and our current world is the outcome. Spare the rod and spoil the child!

29 year old guy from the uk the barnardos one where the guys doing well and it jumps back in time chokes me up everytime the only one that gets me not that the ithers aren't awful or effective that one just as a man who is the typical suck it up seen alot of violence and shit as a kid it just hits me like a train no matter how many times i see it

Why the video fading on the Motor neurone disease advert? The 4th advert at 8:58 was silent for a reason. It was about Cancer, with some talking at the end of it.

This is maybe going to be controversial, - I've watched quite a lot of your reaction videos, but I hated this one. Maybe you just didn't grasp a lot of the topics - if you did, you wouldn't be saying "yo bro" and stuff like that. Just my opinion.

I don’t think he meant to be insensitive; I think he was genuinely shocked by some of these adverts. You would have to be a monster not to find them upsetting, but that is as it should be, or they wouldn’t work.
