Although i know little of oriental ceramics (antique English porcelain is what i grew up with), I applaud the taste, knowledge and confidence of collectors for the best that China has produced. What does surprise me however is the bullish prices now obtained by much run of the mill material pushed out in vast quantities to Europe during the 18th/19th centuries. By comparison much European material looks absurdly cheap....we Brits have little regard today for our heritage?
