Bruh, if someone who doesn't know much about shoes own a pair of sneakers that people have been wearing for decades then you know that those are shoes really influential. I wasn't born America and let me tell you this Chuck Tailors All Stars Converse is probably the most popular sneaker in the world. It's hard to accept a different sneaker brand has beaten Jordan. Chuck Tailors are affordable, they cool and light. As it's mentioned in the video, most people will tell you they owned a pair of chucks all stars not just in america. There are very few sneakerheads and there are many people who just have sneakers. Among sneakerheads and people who are into sneakers who know what they're talking about jordan 1 is, well, number one. But in General I'd put Chucks above all else. If most people who are not into sneakers and don't know much about sneakers owned or own a pair of a particular sneaker just for the sake of having a pair of shoes those sneakers must dope.

I was thinking the same thing. I've owned Sambas most of my entire life (my first pair was a white with black stripes pair I got back in 1973 when I played high school soccer in Colorado), wear them EVERY day and usually have more than one pair. Presently I have a pair of work Sambas, my everyday Sambas, my Formal Sambas (still pristine clean) and my "still in the box" Sambas.

Had to fast forward to make sure Chucks were number 1 because I do not have any friends who have never owned a pair. When they opened the site up so you could customize them to your hearts content, that to me sealed the deal in how awesome these shoes were back then, now, and will be for future generations.

I was born in 72. Does the first shoe I ever wanted had Superfriends (Superman - Batman-Ect) around the sole. The 2nd pair were called “Zips” I remember the commercial kids making a letter Z in the dirt. It was a must have. I remember thinking I could run faster when I wore them. I think I got them at a shoe store called Buster Browns?

I am a big fan of legendary rock bands and the UK in the 60's and onwards, but I love the fashion of wearing a black and red checkered shirt, skinny black jeans, wearing a Pink Floyd t-shirt with some Chuck Taylor 2004 "Vintage" Converse All-Stars. I currently wear all black with skinny (or slim fit) black jeans, steel toecaps, with a black hoodie.

+YuhNinja Hi, I thought the question I was answering stated the issue. Sorry (I find using this Android KZfaq app is not easy for finding or making comments). The video graphics and voice over put the Vans Authentics (at one time known as Style #36) on the list, BUT the video of the sneaker is of the Vans Old Skool. They are very different sneakers!! The #36/Authentics are CVO with with no ankle padding (similar to Keds Champion), while the Vans Old Skool, well, watch the video and the long white stripe of plastic running from the back to the front. They are not the same and people making public sneaker lists should both know the difference and care enough to correct / admit their mistake. The people who made this video aren't good journalists, if they even consider themselves journalists (which IMHO they aren't until they learn to make corrections). Even The Washington Post, CBS Evening News, etc will issue corrections, so why not . . .
