Excuse me, but views doesn’t really matter. It’s just all those blinks watching black pink videos all over again everyday, and that doesn’t count. BTS has more likes on their videos than black pink so it means they either have better music, or more people are actually watching the videos instead of all those blinks watching black pink over and over again. Plus, BTS still has the record for KZfaq. BTS is a tough challenger for black pink and I have to say both are revolutions and BTS is still bigger Both are equally popular, but just wanna say BTS relies less on their looks while black pink gets more views from the same people everyday.

I guess 2009 is when I got into Kpop. BigBang, 2ne1, Girls Generation, Super Junior, SHINee, Wonder Girls. I used to go to hmart and get somewhat transparent school folders and mechanical pencils with their faces on them. Thinking I was so cool when I made GDragons face my homework folder. Oooooeeee was I a cool kid.

I don't know about you but Kpop from 2009-2013 was my freaking childhood For me it was the best generation of KPOP even if it wasn't THAT popular worldwide.... DAMN I MISS THOSE GOOD OLD DAYS😭😭 (BTW I'm not trying to insult any kpop group at any generation. They are ALL great and I respect every single one of them but the second generation has a really special place in my heart because I literally grew up with those songs😊)

Sam Lee in fact groups debuting in 2018 are 4th gen we can’t say that they are the same gen as BTS TWICE and others. IZONE (G)-IDLE Stray Kids (only to count them but there are more) are indeed from 4th gen (very early 4th gen)

noooo not 4th gen. 4th gen will come very much later. a new gen happens every time something really really big happens that changes all of kpop- for example, the 3rd gen got introduced when youtube and streaming became way more important. it is not like different idols or different quality mvs will bring about an entirely new generation. izone and itzy may feel different to bts and twice, but then again, does bts and twice feel similar to aoa, or cross gene? my prediction is that 4th gen will happen when kpop becomes super international. like its not just a few groups like bts, nct and blackpink that are over in america. literally everyone is international and its all normal.

I agree. I started with Big Bang, SuJu, Shinee, etc. Nowadays I feel like a lot of songs are very similar, for example BlackPink songs has a lot of dudududu, or dundundun in it, and it sounded the same. I know all the artists are good, and everyone has their own opinion.

Seeing the early years videos and acts makes me emotional. I discovered kpop in gen 1 but wasn't until gen 2 I was very invested in it. Thirties now and still reminiscing about those days :'')

bts videos from 2013 - 2014 became famous now in these years, in those times nobody knew bts much, at that time the famous ones were Big Bang and exo. :)

True. And back in those days not everyone can watch yt. Maybe only adult at that momment. The kids like us only watch them on mtv . Nowadays most of childrens have their own handphone. Easy deasyy
