D introduces his top 10 Napa Cabernets in 2021.
These are all wines D buys and drinks regularly. They were picked among Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon with a price point of up to about $100.
No specific vintage years were considered. D mostly judged the wines based on their 2016 and 2018 releases, arguably the best vintages in Napa in this last decade.
The ranking is based on price, not preference:
1. Beringer Knights Valley
2. Buena Vista
3. Barnett
4. Groth
5. AXR
6. Caymus
7. Arkenstone, NVD
8. Nickel & Nickel, State Ranch Vineyard
9. Tom Eddy, Kerry's Vineyard
10. Mayacamas

I have to say it….. Behringer Knights Valley is not from Napa that is clearly an AVA in Sonoma for anyone else that was confused about that…. “In 1983, Knights Valley was approved as a new American Viticultural Area (AVA). In Sonoma, the Knights Valley designation was first used on a Beringer label in 1974.” - Behringer Other than that I loved the video I loved your energy and got me hyped to drink some Napa Cabernet Sauvignon!!! Especially that Tom Eddy that wine has always had a special place in my heart haha

@@decantswithd I’m aware, if the video was about visiting wineries I wouldn’t of said anything but this is a top 10 Napa Cabs and that isn’t a Napa cab although Behringer’s history is clearly strongly rooted in Napa this wine is not (even if it’s only 17miles away) . I truly wasn’t trying to be annoying I think it was important people know this information is all because it truly is a great wine for the money and I think its wonderful you expose people to this Cabernet but they should know it’s Sonoma Vineyards. I believe education is so important and Knight’s Valley is so distinct as well as awesome!

Hi, Dietmar! I think (also suggest) that before you call any Napa Cabernet, "the best cabernet in the world"; you should try an Argentinian Cabernet. Best soil, terroir, temperatures variation, more experience in the art of making wines, etc. You americans tend to think everything that comes from you is "the best in the world"; and sometimes is right, and sometimes is wrong.

Actually, 90-95% of the grapes were already harvested when the 2017 fires happened. Don’t be afraid of 2017 if you are drinking wines from quality producers. A top quality winery isn’t going to risk their reputation by releasing a smoke tainted wine.
