Infallible selection of fragrances for that special occasion. I would probably go with D&G The One EDP, instead of Light Blue Intense, but that just my personal choice. Excellent video with a lot to memorize !

Good video, great choices, I have several of the colognes that you recomend. Personally for a first date my go too is YSL l'Homme, the other is Prada l'Homme which has worked better than YSL for me. The main objective on a first date, in my opinion, is to smell very pleasent without choking your date out. Some of the stronger ones are good if the date is an outsde event, and limited sprays gos a long way, just my experience and opinion. Keep videos like this coming.

Hi Peter, another great and informative video. For date night, I like it loud and masculine; Kouros or Antaeus (though not too many sprays). If that's too, "in your face", I go for The One. ........Can't go wrong really.

Been a Sauvage guy for years and decided to change things up this spring. After a few blind buys, Givenchy Gentleman Boisee and PDM Layton are two I am currently alternating for date nights and would highly recommend.

Great 👍 video I just ordered mine on fragrancenet I already have Dior homme intense/ Parfum. Givenchy réserve privée, Valentino intense. I love iris so much I also have Alexandria leather intense a clone of Dior homme parfum. A very great one.

People have a problem wearing a 2006 fragrance for a date? I've worn Guerlain Vetiver (1959), Dior Eau Sauvage (1966), Ralph Lauren Polo (1978) and others on dates. The concept of "dated" isn't in my vocabulary. The quintessential "Date Night Scent", Dolce&Gabbana The One EDP could be added to this list As could Terre d'Hermes.

Gotta admit - been watching fragrance videos on KZfaq for a couple of months now, and I’ve reached the point where I know what I like and what I don’t. The only remaining area where I feel I still need guidance is in this “DATE” category, where, as opposed to selfishly wearing scents for yourself, you’re seeking to entice and have an effect on someone else, so vids like these are VERY much appreciated! 👍🏼👏🏼🙂 My only concern is wearing a scent so COMMON that everyone else is wearing it…, including her EX! 😳😆

Everything seems silly these days about anything that's not the latest and greatest version so it's refreshing to see you recommend fragrances that aren't the "it" fragrance of the day. Estee Lauder made a cologne for men by the name of Metropolis from 1987 and if they re-issued it today it would probably be a hit. I don't know when it was discontinued but at one time I had to order it via mail order from Macy's in New York.

Great choises you made there Peter! If I go on a date I often wear a scent which isn't loud, but clean and manly. I never go to a bar or a club, so the heavy ones I don't need also. Within designers I would choose: - Dior EAU sauvage. The old school fresh, clean yet muscular chypre(-ish) not so many seem to gravitate to anymore. - Cartier Pasha de Cartier EdT. Warm, inviting and manly barbershop. - Chanel Platinum Égoïste. One of my signature scents. Also in my opinion, one of the best Fougère within the designer. - Tom Ford Costa Azzurra EdP. It's quite unique and suits well with the ladies maybe because of that. All are, to me at least, wearable all year round and verry versataille for more occassions. On a first or special date I normaly wear Montale Greyland. My most complimented perfume and I still have to come across a lady who doesn't like it.

@@ScentTrail Thank you sir! I've smelled a lot of Montale, I used to own 2 of them, but the only one I personaly realy like is Greyland. Mainly woods combined with rose, some spices and a hint of leather. Most Montale contain oud and often he makes it heavy, this one doesn't contain oud. Unfortualy Greyland has been discontinued, but if you can get your hands on a bottle... do take it in considderation. We got about the same taste, so this one might also suit you well. I did own Black Aoud and that one is boneyard oud. Not something to wear on a date at all and also for me a bit to much. The only scent I've owned I got negative comments on.

The first fragrance i bought (i am new to the obsession of fragrances) was Armani, Stronger with You Absolutly and Boy did i get compliments :D One girl even tried to "sniff" me discretely at the bar :D

I was going on a date with a nice girl and was going to wear 'Butt Sexx' by 'CRUUD' (I THINK that's a knock off, but I'm not sure), but then I watched your video and figured it might be a bit too 'presumptuous', and so I decided on Eternity by Calvin Klein instead. You're welcome :)

Have you ever tried any of the fragrances from Ex Nihilo Paris? It's a French niche perfumery. I just wanted to get your opinion on some of their fragrances if you've ever tried them. Other than that, I'm trying to decide between Mont Blanc's Explorer or YSL's La Nuit De L'Homme Bleu Electrique.
