Phyrexians are arguably the most iconic creature type wholly original to the universe of Magic the Gathering. Angels, demons, and dragons exist in countless settings, but the Phyrexians are only in Magic and have been some of the most prominent antagonists the game has seen. As such, these half machine abominations have seen many very playable cards throughout the years. Despite existing in the lore for years, they’re a relatively newer creature type and several creatures from Magic’s past have been errata'd into phyrexians officially.Today we’ll be looking at ten of the strongest Phyrexian creature cards ever printed

I was GONNA SAY Blightsteel Colossus isn't a phyrexian, BUT APPARENTLY IT GOT ERRATA'D, and only the Megatron printing has the phyrexian type on it.

I learned how to play MTG when I was very young, but seeing Wurmcoil Engine a few years later made me very interested. It's the first card I ever wanted because of how strong it looked to me with how many different things it does.

@@Victoevel I am an older MTG player (the last set I did any serious play was Scourge), though I keep tabs on newer sets for fun. Honestly, right before this comment pinged I saw the Dreadnought on the vid. Never knew of that combo, that is *nuts* 😂

The ability to have a 12/12 on board for one mana, even if you have to make use of it at instant speed, is absolutely nuts. Get 15 mana on turn 4 with Selvala, Heart of the Wilds. Create a full board with Tend the Pests, or make a slightly worse one while killing something with Windswift Slice. Draw a dozen cards with Momentous Fall or Return of the Wildspeaker. There are so many red cards that let you dome someone for 12.

"Atraxa, Grand Unifier" is a great #1 being a true game breaker, while Blighted Agent is one of the most potent assailants in my "Rafiq, of the Many" Commander deck.

IMO Atraxa is the best possible commander to be running in standard brawl at the moment. In r colors she offers very high card quality with access to the best countermagic, ramp, boardwipes, targeted removal, and bomb creatures in the format along with just being a massive threat that can singlehandedly stablize against agro outvalue midrange, and demanding on the spot answers from control.

I knew Sheoldred was gonna be in the top 5. This single card warped the standard format with almost half the decks existing using her regardless of strategy.

You could have a list ranking the preator cards and the others Phyrexians for themselves. There is over 15 preator card. With Gix and atraxia in there too.

Wonder if we can get a video that focuses on the Relentless Cycle, which are those cards you're allowed as many copies of the card. I'm talking about like for example: Shadowborn Apostle, Slime Against Humanity, Templar Knight, and the one that started the Cycle, Relentless Rats.

Random fact: Plague Rats was actually the first member of this cycle. OG magic didn't have the 4-of limit, so they didn't need to give it the effect you're talking about. The card became terrible when the 4-of limit was added, so they printed Relentless Rats to replace it.

Phyrexian Dreadnought is quite relevant in legacy again though. Cut out green and Uro and switched to Nulldrifters. Deck does well.

My favorite but obviously incorrect way to use phyrexian dreadnaught is to use a mirror march like effect to create at least one copy of it to sac to its ability, or to do a flash hulk combo, then grab all 4 copies of it and 2 torch couriers to give the 2 that survive haste.

Phyrexian Obliterator + Blizzard Brawl. If anything that can fight persist, cast other fight cards, It's indestructible with Blizzard Brawl.

I love the format and pacing, but the poor writing/reasoning and constant errors are rather annoying. Please put more effort into making a better product.

@@christopherbennett1173 I wasn't paying much attention to this video in particular, I just sleep to them, but pronunciation errors are in very vid including this one and some vids will have small details wrong. I don't care enough to go through and find them all but it's something I've noticed.
