You could explore @upper vaitarana lake going from mumbai-manor-wada-upper vaitarana. Wada -upper vaitarana is very scenic & unexplored route.

Come to Salem again and see Yercaud hill station.. U can see world famous Meenakshi amman temple in Madurai. Ooty in Coimbatore. Kodai kanal in Dindukal. Rameshwaram in Ramnad and Vivekanadar rock in कन्याकुमारी.

The spot near Usgaon is called as Akloli bridge (अकलोली )..The same way will lead to hot water springs, which is actually in the river and not any built pool.

lovely places. as you said you would like know some spots nearby , i know few, you might like them... sidhdhagad (it is best in rainy season), kalu nadi in murbad taluka, sangam in shahapur taluka( here you can see two rivers sangam there is shiv mandir) and each one is one day trip if you leave early morning from mumbai .
