Thank U. This was very informative. Just as a side note. Metonymy is the substitution of the name of an attribute or adjunct for that of the thing meant.

You did get one of these ten incorrect. Metonomy is not substituting a part for the whole; such a situation is properly called synechdoche. Synecdoche is a literary device in which a part of something represents the whole or it may use a whole to represent a part. Metonomy is actually defined as the substitution of the name of an attribute or adjunct for that of the thing meant, for example suit for business executive, or the track for horse racing, or the White House for the president of the United States. All the others you mentioned seem to be defined and used correctly.

Nifty to see what understanding (natural & formally taught) of these structures has inspired. From astounding Gael poets like Nuala Ni Dhomhnaill through contemporary "hard hitters" like; www.poetryfoundation.org/harriet/2007/11/dipodic-verse/. Grace / dipodic rhythm manifests in many forms.

Some people in this presentation were very hard to understand because of there mis-pronounciation of English words

Some commenters in this comment section are very hard to understand because of their misspelling of English words. PS. Not really. Anyone making that claim needs to step up their game. Also, it's a bit harsh to call it mispronunciation when people are going for the right sound.

I have started writing Poetry last year and I want to up may game...but I am struggling to find words...does anyone have a method of finding scarce words? I also find it difficult to share my Poems, as it feels like the world can see me when it sees my poetry...although I realize its this fear that is ultimately going to destroy me.
