Just to be clear, these are not huge issues. These are only minor nitpicks if anything. What are some of your least favorite things about Ninjago?

I just don’t like how a power, object, character, or concept is introduced, but then later on is forgotten. This is the biggest issue I personally see with Ninjago.

Whenever they add something Sensei Wu always says "I wish this was kept buried. I didn't want you to know" Like how much do you trust this guy

The biggest problem for me is that the mailman needs more screentime

Maybe When The Time Twins Messed With Time, The Reflections Were Altered As An Effected Too. I Mean If The Time Twins Changed The Designs Of The Characters They Could Have Changed The Future As Well.

The whole idea of Kai and Nya’s parents being added into the show is my biggest nitpick. Through the whole series we were told that they were dead and Kai and Nya were “living out their legacy”. The fact that they were randomly added into season 7 with barely any buildup and never return after that bothers me immensely.

i agree that ninjago has a problem with retcons. some are done well and make sense, while others just leave the fandom confused. i also agree that ninjago needs to provide more answers in the show, rather than asking the writers on twitter.

Just get rid of Dareth, I hated him from the moment he came into the show. Just a dumb personality, and not a comic relief. Always got annoyed by him. Jay has the best humour.

Cole often has to experience many bad things: ghost, fall and no future reflection

My problems with Ninjago: 1)Lloyd was overused later in seasons, his arc about him and his father was finished in Possesion, and they shouldn't have brought him back, it makes the arc from 1-5 season look pointless. 2)Oni stuff was just thrown into the lore, without any hint on it. Yes, it explains why Mistake had the tea, and kinda explains why Wu and Garmadon are actually so old, that they have lived for multiple generations, but other then that, it really feels forced 3)Forgetting stuff from prevous seasons. What's up with the realm crystal? There are 16 realms but we have just seen like three or four. There is so much potential in there, maybe even a chance to get Chima back? I loved Chima, sad that it was cancelled by the way. What's up with Lloyd having the Golden Power? It's not like it was taken from him, he was just really weakened.What about trying to get it back?The reflections in Season 5? Jay shoud've had the eyepatch, and Cole should've remained a ghost. 4) Wu never really had any character development. He is just always a mentor. The story now is just the Ninjas fixing mistakes that Wu did in the past. At least Morro was a great villain, but the snake is just bad. OoOOoO i know spinjitzu but its not usual spinjitzu oOOooOoo. He should have either been lost in the Time Rift, or remain in the Oni realm, it would've been better. 5)What was the point of Cole becoming a ghost? There was so much potential in that idea. It would've been amazing to see Cole die, being stuck in the Cursed realm, but then Ninja having to take out the Preeminent out of the sea just to get him back. There was no point in turning him back to a normal person, and just giving him more powers. 6)What happened to Kai and Nya's parents? We still don't know what happened to Zane's father, only that he had died. Sad that we don't see Zane miss his father, even for a few seconds.Other characters are also wasted. 7)What was the point of Season 6? It was basically meaningless, because everything was rewinded, and Nya and Jay were the only ones that remember what happened. The story was good, but it just sets the story back to the end of S5 point. These thing are actually quite serious. But I still enjoy the show.

My 5 biggest problems 1)Community. I’ll keep it simple -Overhypes every set, episode/finale, character, etc. -Ninjago KZfaqrs like to have clickbait like thumbnails and some are really childish and start drama that doesn’t need to be started. Cough Cough *ryananddavydshow* 2)Most seasons rely there endings on cliffhangers, people dying, or a ninja getting super powered up in a way. I like season 8’s ending the best because it’s so unique,yes has a cliff hanger but at least it’s different than the rest of the seasons finales. 3)The Sets -Expensive -Clones(bounty)(season 1/2 re-release)(Dragons are basically the same just with different colors) -They need to stop making new suits every season. It just feels like then trying to empty my wallet when the release new sets with new suits every season. 4)The final battle, tanner basically explains it all 5)What happened to all the ninjas old stuff -Weapons -Allies -Places -Dragons -Airjitzu You can just add stuff then just thro it in a void that’s kinda stupid

My problems: 1. Skylor isn't a member of the team. 2. The Time Twins and Morro aren't back 3. The og looks are better 4. Everything seems to be forgotten (Sword of Sanctuary even though it used a little bit in Episode 97, and Ray and Maya and Airjitzu) 5. Cole isn't a ghost anymore if I'm honest I actually preferred him as a ghost

My problems are: Retcons, some of the community, Childish tone sometimes, there is no Cole Season so far

When Jay has his time to shine almost everyone forgets about it

for the reflections in season 5, i think their future changed. it's possible that the future has changed based on the Time Twins in season 7 or just because the future is constantly changing.

in my opinion ninjago has only got 1 major problem at the moment and that's the overesposure of lloyd the last 3 seasons have been about him so the last 3 seasons the other ninja have been pushed to the sidelines

The Final Battle not being the Final Battle kinda makes since because like the overlord said "When there's light , there should also be darkness" the only way to make a final battle is to make a killer move that'll eliminate both sides at the same time.Evil will just raise because it wants the power the good side has.

Kai doesn't take the spotlight only lloyd does.

my major problem with Ninjago, personally, is that it doesn't seem to know when to end. True, they wanted to end in 2013, but of course the fans pushed them to keep Ninjago going. Don't get me wrong, I like Ninjago. But after a while, you wonder when (or if) it will ever end.

The serpentine generals in season 1 definitely deserved more credit like the fangpyre and the hypobrai which the first couple of episodes explained, with the other generals and tribes they only had a couple of scenes where they talked and showed off there abilities

The main problem is that it never ends. I mean i am a big fan of ninjago, but they should really start to work on a worthy ending

Top 10 Ninjago Things That Didn't Need To Happen

The inconsistency is definitely the biggest thing I have with the show, but even so, I don't absolutely hate it. I spend probably too much time making things up and speculating to fill in plotholes. It's a fun thing, though! I can USUALLY make it work in my head. The ones I can't explain or figure out to drive me a little nuts. Also, Tanner, the sets coming without masks or armor for the ninja used to really bother me, too, but I think I've figured that out, as well. It's actually a very clever (albeit a bit cruel) sale tactic. LEGO marketers KNOW we want the fully armed ninja, and so include them in their most expensive sets. For an aspiring entrepreneur, I can understand why they do what they do, and I can actually forgive them for it. NOT SAYING THAT YOU COULDN'T!! OR THAT YOU WERE BASHING THEM OR ANYTHING!! I MEAN ZERO OFFENSE TO YOU!! I just wanted to maybe give you a reason as to why the sets are the way they are. Thanks for the video! I like these top 10 vids! Keep at it! You're doing great! ;)

My 10 problems in Ninjago 10 : The theme song is gone for 3 seasons 9 : Jay looks a lot younger 8 : The reflections because of Jay 7 : Dareth's character 6 : The time limit in season 11 5 : Kai's bandage 4 : S8 - S11 Jay is the Lego form of Izuku Midoriya 3 : No more airjitzu 2 : Ray & Maya disappeared 1 : The new Desings after the movie

I can very much agree with the Kai/Lloyd spotlight problem (I mean Kai is my favorite ninja but he is like Ice cream, too much of it makes me sick)

At the time it was called the The Final Battle because it was going to be the final season but now it's no longer on the Final Battle now it's called the Ultimate Battle

Ending with season 2 does seem very satisfactory. The Overlord is defeated, Garmadon is restored to human form and it’s a happy ending with no cliffhanger. All the ninja have had character focus episodes and it feels like an ensemble cast. Season three onwards tacks on to the mythos in unforeshadowed ways, having to introduce new threats, new weapons and new powers without taking into consideration possible future developments. It falls into the pattern of introducing new weapons or powers and passing them up next season for the new weapons or powers. Season arcs have a character focus on one of the ninja in particular, which can give them more screen time than the other ninja.

Ninjago just has some nitpicks like what happened to the hands of time and how did master Wu survive, but I'm sure they'll be solved in the upcoming seasons

A good example of #3 is from the Skybound season where Jay finds out he’s been adopted and his biological father is a famous actor. It’s only brought up as a plot point for a couple of episodes, and the only real impact is that Jay using advice from a book on winning over girls he finds at his father’s house ends up making things worse. His biological father is never revisited, and in Day of the Departed he’s spending time with Ed and Edna instead. Due to the reset button ending they don’t know Jay knows he’s adopted unlike the aborted timeline.

#7 I mean... Its pretty obvious why this is - LEGO wants you (the consumer) to buy as many of the sets as possible (unless you buy the figs online). In the new wave you would need to buy at least 3 sets to get all versions of Lloyd for example (one with the regular hoodie, one with the green hoodie + flames and the FS set with the gold hoodie and green flames). What I have noticed is that the ninja / villains do actually pop up in the LEGO Ninjago Magazine a few months after the wave is released, meaning you can get the ninja with all the gear if you are patient enough. Or you just buy the online like I do. It is rare that I find a set that I want to buy since the build is either not to my liking or I simply want a few of the figures included. The new land bounty set has an excellent minifig selection, but the bounty itself is not what I am looking for, so I will get them online instead. It saves money and space at home.

Pretty much Ninjago has a lot of loose ends and this mostly comes from the writers removing or changing elements of the show and not explaining or going all the way through. Examples would be elemental powers, and airjitzu. They need to either make a definite reason for change, or a fresh restart. Not slowly changing it throughout the show randomly.

The logic doesn't make sense have the time. When I say logic, I am meaning science and other decisions.....

Ok so you did a good job mentioning side characters. Here’s a side character I think that non of you have realized until she got more screen time. Nya smith. Kai’s younger sister. She was a side character from the start of the pilot episode when the skeletons kidnapped her etc. she didn’t get much screen time or mention until she was revealed to be the Samaria X warrior later on in seasons 1-2 and then she got more screen time in seasons 5-6 as the water ninja after she was shown to have some value and support etc towards the ninja team. 😊

Ninjago problems: 1. Missing or forgotten characters: Pythor, Clouse, Time Twins, Maya and Ray come to mind 2. Animation not suited to the show (cough cough season 11) 3. Filler episodes 4. Underwhelming antagonists: Iron Baron, Aspheera, Omega Oni 5. Plot holes (i.e. what happened to time twins after season 7?)

Season two was probably my favorite season Mostly because of the overall message Of the season. Taking care of your family whether related or not, and fighting for the right reasons even if that means consequences Sorry for the rant but I LOVE THIS SHOW ❤️

I think the writers ran out of ideas so they threw a season with bad comedy and 10 reallyyy short episodes I’m tired of how a character can’t freakin’ ACTUALLY die. And never return. (I know that sounded kinda harsh but still, plus what i meant were the side characters not the others like Cole’s mom)

The biggest problem is logic and continuity. They bend the rules so many times.

The main problem is that they don’t use the power of positive thinking

One of my biggest issues is how the powers are never consistent. Like how when Nya first uses her water abilities she can just summon water with her hands, but later on she can't summon water, only control existing water. Or how Lloyd controls the 4 elements of spinjitzu, but later on he just uses some sort of green energy. Another one also being that Kai and Nya never use that giant fire and water dragon ever again, which also goes for the elemental dragons.

My biggest problem is that only four elements have a golden weapon

The ray and Maya thing is messed up like imagine in season 3 if garmadon a mistake if you spell it like that were just taken out.

The real issue is how Cartoon Network sucks with the show

My nitpick is Lloyd's redesign. At least the other ninja got to keep their original voice actors, but it's like Lloyd got replaced with a generic mc. I miss his old voice and personality.

In season 6, my personal nitpicks on Ninjago was that it felt like it’d been changed, all that hate on Jay, character changes for the most part, and not to mention... the ninja fan girls.

I hate how jay has gone back to being a comic relief character. Obviously he’s always gonna be the “funny” one but I’d like to see that more serious and sentimental side of him come out more like in season 6. I feel like he should get another focus season where we can find out more about his past and he can finally get the spotlight without it completely being forgotten. I also think cole should get a focus season because it’s long overdue. Especially since I feel like cole has started getting a lot of character development but I still feel like there’s a lot more to him. This last one is definitely an unpopular opinion but I feel like jaya is just an annoying relationship now. It’s really one sided and I feel like jay is the only one really putting effort into it and being affectionate while nya seems really detached. Idk I just feel like nyas character is just going down hill and so is the whole jaya ship

I think the concept of elemental powers are REALLY confusing! Like first it's the golden weapons, then Lloyd gives it to them and then they are all descendants from elemental masters so shouldn't they be able to use their powers at the begging of the season?

It’s possible season 7 affected the reflections due to the whole time travel thing, just my opinion. Also the full mask thing is definitely a way to get money. Cuz they’ll sell Lloyd with no mask in a $10 small set but then full suit/armor Lloyd will be in the final battle set which is probably $50-75

One of the things I hate about ninjago is the fact that they never touch on a characters trauma or emotions. Like Kai with having aquaphobia, and literally thinking he's worthless and expendable (he doesnt say it himself but like.. he said he should have died rather than Zane in season 3/4 so like..) They never talk about characters fears at all and they never really bring up when characters belittle themselves and never.. give them comfort.. Its really sad..

I dunno if it’s just me but Lloyd slowly becomes more independent and doesn’t rely on the ninja as much. Like in season 1/2 when he’s a kid he always jokes around with them then when garmadon is redeemed he more cares about him and isn’t as close with the ninja as he used to be

I agree on that last part. It makes many of the subsequent seasons feel like they have much lower stakes in comparisson which is kind of distracting. Like, I do like Chen, but going from the literal god of evil and darkness to some random goofy cult leader is just such a step down in terms of stakes.
