It doesn't matter what language you are using, every language can do anything. Python is just recommended to beginners as it is simple, but you will quickly change your mind about which language you prefer once you start learning the other options.

Python is great because it is simple and easy to learn. But if you are doing more than scripting, other languages have better features. Don’t worry about choosing the right language! You will learn a bunch trust me lol but you gotta start somewhere.

Python 3.11 and 3.12 are bringing a lot of speed to the table now. I did a benchmark of calculating 2 to the power of 256 2048 times. With python 3.10, it was about 3 times slower than JS. With 3.11, it is about 10% FASTER than JS. I haven't tried 3.12 yet but it seems to be even faster. It is still not near as close as C but the point of python is not being fast. That's impossible if you want to keep ease of use and abstractions. Mojo seems promising but so far it does not even support windows

Bro… Java’s garbage… none should waste his time on that language (unless you hate Windows, learn C# instead). Python is popular only because it’s easy, that’s why the only case You want to learn it, is if You want to start with programming. JS is good to know, but if You’re not in OWAs it’s pretty useless, which is actually sad… I respect the choice for C as the beginner language, though.

JavaScript or Python have sizable documentation and libraries like Django that works just fine and you'll need JavaScript for front end anyway. Elixir is fun and fast to use but has less documentation than Golang
