My favorites back in the day were Missile Command and Asteroids--at least, I played those the most. Lately I've found Midnight Magic oddly addictive (a pinball sim that came out after I'd stopped paying attention to 2600 games).

I’m shocked Halloween and Texas Chainsaw Massacre aren’t on the list. Those games were rare and extremely expensive to purchase, but luckily, I managed to get myself a 2 in 1 repro cart of those 2 games for a nearly 150, which is ironic since that price was mentioned in AVGN’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre episode. Anyway, may not be the real deal, but I’m glad to at least have access into playing those games on my Retron 77.

My favorite was probably Frogger, but I also liked Asteroids, Missile Command, Space Invaders, Megamania, Gopher, and Dragster. I managed to get under 6 seconds in 3rd gear!

Extra Terrestrials for the 2600 (not ET) which was only sold in Canada is almost as rare as Red Sea Crossing - to which only about six or seven copies have been found, three of them are held in a gaming museum. Mine is Gravitar , i can play that game for hours. i just recently figured out how to get to the 5th world. the 5th world looks just like the 1st 1st but its a tiny bit faster. My father was really good at Yars revenge though he could make it up to those stages where it has Blue colored space forts to destroy. I cant make it past the red colored space forts in Yars Revenge.

My dad was an executive for Pepsi in the 80s and his executive friend from Coke gave Pepsi Invaders to my dad because he knew my dad had a son (me) who was a hardcore Atari gamer. I played Pepsi Invaders! Spoiler: The game has a timer that, once expires, ends the game regardless of what you do and flashes on the screen "Coke Wins!" LOL

I'm not 100% sure if it's real or not. But I have the Pepsi invaders game. In the 90s my friend his dad worked for the coke co. Well they knew I still played the Atari alot and they gave me a lot of games one is a blank copy which they must of rip off or something cause most kids back in the day didn't take care of stuff. Also the frount cast was cracked so I took a case off another game and put it on that. How can I tell if it is real or fake?

why push and share and talk about these videos? To push up the prices even more for the collectors to charge or ask for them. Please. Wanna play these. Simple emulator and rom. Videos like these its what are driving the prices of retro gaming so high that unless you got a huge bank account you cant afford to enjoy these said and many other old games.

While all the kids and young adults were playing systems like Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo during 1992, there were still a FEW Atari loyaltist left during this time. A small group consisting of mostly 20 somethings who were VERY, VERY loyal to Atari. I knew one guy like this. When Atari Jaguar came out in late 93, he claimed Jaguar was for adults and Genesis / SNES were kid toys. That didn't help since Jaguar got destroyed even by the CD-i and 3DO in sales.

It was very, very inexpensive by that point, and there was a huge library of games that by then were also cheap. Not everyone could afford the good stuff.

Nope, it was late 1977. Any casual Google search will reveal that to you. Check out any chronological list of Atari VCS / 2600 games... the original 9 launch titles were released in late 1977. You're gonna have a hard time finding any games released for a non-existant system in 1976 :P
