I failed my first time due to not using proper signaling when doing parallel parking and 3 point turn. Its ok though, I got my second try tomorrow, hoping to get it! (It took 5 times to get my permit so hopefully I get it this time!)

I failed twice because of my high anxiety. I finally passed missing nothing on the test because I was comfortable who I was with. If you failed and haven’t gotten your license yet, it’s okay. No rush take your time and if you fail you can always try again. Trust I was down in the dumps and I had a stressful year losing my dad, working, and taking care of my grandma. You guys got this!!!

For those nervous about the test just remember that at the end of the day it is up to the instructor to pass/ fail you for whatever they want. I hit the curb while backing up when I took mine and still passed. Confidence is key!

I passed my test January, my hints: - Look at your mirrors every 5 seconds - It’s better to be slow than speed. You don’t have to go exactly your speed limit. Maybe 1-2 below. - Take your TIME. Don’t let other driver honk at you, it’s your test. Do not feel the need to rush. - practice!!

After 2 fails I finally got my license! It's pretty easy for the evaluator to fail you for simple mistakes so keep your head up if it happens. Failure doesn't necessarily mean you're a bad driver. Keep practicing and go at it again. You're bound to get someone who believes in you. But for me I took a step further by contacting a private license and professional dmv agent that helped me to write a provisional letter to bypass the test drive and i was given a provisional driver's license which will last for 12 months. I got a license now and it will serve for 1 year then I renew again. My little advice. * If you think are too nervous for the test drive then you can easily switch to a provisional driver's license which you won't need to test drive.

Worst mistake I made when learning was trying to mimic what other drivers are doing, especially at intersections. So many people don't adhere to what they've presumably been taught in order to have their licence. Always best to just follow the instructor and not take other people's actions as an example.

It wasn’t the most stressful day of my life, but I was a little nervous. I felt confident once the test was in session though, specially after doing the maneuverability. I’m so glad videos like this exist. I passed first try.

I passed my driver test dec 8th 2022 I’m 50 years old never had a licence before Took my test in Dayton Ohio it was easy just went around the residenal area and did maneuverability .

I remember when I took my driver test about 6 years ago I failed the first time because I “ran a yellow light”. I was stopped at a red light behind a huge dump truck and couldn’t see the light (I was about 2 Cars back). The light turned green and we all went. Well the light turned yellow SO FAST when I was in the middle of making a left turn, and the lady was like “sir you just ran a red light”. I did not say anything but in my head I was thinking “did you want me to stop in the middle of the intersection??” Anyways this is all to say. Air on the side of caution during your test. Just be patient at lights. You may sit at a light through 2 cycles before you can go and that’s okay if it means you will pass the test.

i took my test today and passed with a 100. i was very nervous but something very true is it really can depend on your instructor. I had an appointment at the end of the day and i talked a little with them and they just wanted to go home. they chose the shortest route and didn’t care to mark any points off.

Doing my drivers test honestly felt like a fever dream, I only remember doing hand signals and pointing at the hazard lights, but the actual drive...no memory. Like someone else was in control. I guess I was so nervous that my mind just erased it from my memory. Still passed tho so that’s nice

It's a really simple idea but the idea of practicing near the testing center and driving those streets blew my mind and I haven't done it yet but I'm sure will be super helpful.

I just passed my road test. I have been watching many of this videos and practicing. Is always nerves but just trust yourself and make sure you practice a lot. I pretended I was driving with my instructor and always making t sure you really turn your head to check blind spots. I hit the curve a bit when parking but it wasn't bad. Just make sure you do all those maneuvers when parking very slow so if you hit the curve is not bad. Also make sure you stay center in the lane even when there is no markings draw one in your head. Just took my test today and I passed. All I did was parallel park, went to a roundabout did a U-turn, stopped at some signs and crosswalks (on the DMV property). And that was it. Instructor was friendly and decent. Hit the curb two times during parallel parking, but readjusted. He said I did okay and I when was fine that. But I used these videos as reminders to prepare me. Thanks again!

I passed my driving test on my second attempt, honestly it really does depend on the examiner and its at there discretion to pass or fail you. I am happy to have had my second attempt with the examiner I got. These videos also really helped.

guys i was so nervous on my drivers test but i passed i was overthinking too much but it’s not that hard i’ve had my license for 5 months now

i just made sure to drive as if i was taking a test every time i practiced driving with my permit. my dad would rush me if i didn’t roll through stop signs (among other things) so i only drove with my mom. i had really bad anxiety about driving while i was learning so i got like 25 of my 50 hours just driving in parking lots and neighborhood streets so i could get comfortable and more confident just driving the car without having to worry too much about pedestrians, other drivers, traffic, etc. and every time i drove, i made sure to make full stops at stop signs, stay as close to the speed limit as possible, stop at yellow lights when i could, etc. so that when i was taking the test, i could just drive how i always did when practicing and didn’t have to change how i drove or worry about that at all. “practice as you perform” they say. and then even someone with as much anxiety around driving as me can pass the test first try

I just passed my driving test yesterday at the Santa Monica Dmv here in southern california. It was in the middle of rush hour and we literally went around the block once and ended up back in the parking lot. The instructor told me i passed and said that we didn't need to do the backing up portion of the test because there won't be any parking at this time lol. EDIT: it was also my first time and my nerves were shot to hell.

Ugh, I rolled a stop sign on my test and that's the reason I failed, but every other sign I stopped completely, except the last one.

I binged watch your videos a week before my Class 7 road test and passed first try in Port Coquitlam BC! My examiner was super cool and supportive the entire time! I passed my drivers test on the 3rd attempt. The first one was dumb and I feel like she failed me for no reason. She said turn right and I made a left. I made the left turn safely and obeyed every traffic rule. She could've just told me to make a U-turn and proceed with the test but she decided to fail me. i still hate her till this day. 2nd test I failed because I made a turn with one hand. I hate him also.

Got my driver's license years ago at this point. Had to take my test twice and honestly a lot of it unfortunately comes down to the instructor you get. First guy answered a personal phone call during my test and gave me points for not pulling out right after he made me pull over to the side of the road to take his call. Gave me points for a whole bunch of other stupid things and I failed. All around a miserable asshole. Second guy was very polite and forgiving. Made some minor errors but he could see that I was clearly competent enough to drive on my own without posing a risk to the lives of others or myself. That was one of the happiest days of my life whereas my first time was one of the worst days of my life. It's an awful feeling knowing your freedom got denied either because of your own mistakes or a sadistic instructor. My advice to anyone who fails because of a bad instructor is to schedule your next road test at a different DMV. Chances are you're still in school so ask around and see where your friends had the most success.

driver test tips Before you drive they will check: - drivers window - windshields - rear view mirrors - turn signals front nd back - brake lights - tires - foot brake - horn - emergency parking - windshield wipers - arm signals - defrosters - hazard lights or emergency flashers - headlights - passenger box - glove box - seat belts only can make 15 mistakes and 3 on the check up before u actually drive - over exaggerate everything ex. when switching lanes exaggerate your head movement making sure no cars are coming on the lane you’re switching to - stay calm and collective 🧘🏻‍♂️ - stay speed limit if you don’t know it it’s always 25 mph - 20 mph in a school zone 🚸 - ACT like u care - be extra aware of your surroundings!

I failed the first time I wasn’t a confident driver and I only had my permit for 2 weeks 😭 I go back later next month I’ll update if I pass this time.

I did nearly perfect on my test, but at the very end of the test where he told me to go straight and pull in, I missed the very final stop sign because it was on the left instead of right side that I’m used to. This resulted in an automatic fail. I’m taking it again in 3 weeks so hopefully I don’t miss it again.

Just took my first lesson today (I'm a 32 YO) on 90 reverse parking and parallel parking for the state of Minnesota. I was nervous the first hour but after awhile it was no sweat. My driving test is in November. Best of luck to all!

Passed my drivers test first try. Just remained calm, focused and cautious. I think during my parallel parking I was about a foot and a half to 2 feet from the curb(becuz thr car I took my test in was smaller than a sedan) & when pulling out I almost forgot to put my signal on when exiting, got up to speed rather quickly than the instructor liked me to when getting up to 30mph, other than that I watched other cars carefully and made sure to get in the correct lanes when turning about a few feet to a mile away, stopped at a stop sign or light right at the line and if I needed to move up to see the oppisite traffic I did so after completely stopping and going once it was safe to do so. There was no reverse bay parking or any of that. Jusy remain calm, collected, & like he said in the video. Pick the best answer, not necessarily the right answer.

1st attempt failed back tires hit curb while turning, 2nd attempt was frustrating, car dint turned ON due steering wheel lock , my driving school never thought me about sterling wheel lock would prevent the car from starting... I had sleepless night after these....took a week break , then passed my 3rd attempt last week finally... the key is to be cool and practice , don’t let negative thoughts influence you , do watch these wonderful videos.. I passed my driving test yesterday despite making a few errors (you're going to make some no matter what). I'm a lot older and had to take it because my license was revoked and I never bothered renewing it because I had a lot of people around with access to a car and I work from home. I watched a lot of these videos and learned a lot, but I strongly urge you to find out as much as possible about your local situation and what you need to learn for the road test because a lot of this stuff had no application to my test. Make sure you signal whenever you're moving your car laterally? Nope. I actually started to do it and the guy was like no you don't need to do that. I did need to signal when backing out of a space. He also didn't seem to care much about my steering (which was smooth but a couple of times I only had one hand on the wheel). I got marked down for speeding a couple of miles over a 30 mph limit (Here I learned you would get an automatic fail if you went 5 over). He didn't even mark anything at all until I was about halfway done with the test. I also sat at a red light when instructed to turn right and he never marked it because you are allowed to sit at a red light, you're not blocking traffic doing it (at least here check to see what's up where you live). Sitting at a red light on a right turn is a good time to make adjustments to your car or radio or what have you. I did do shoulder checks but not two of them on a turn and it wasn't a problem. Overall the test was fast and super easy. That may not be the case where you live. A lot of these videos are shot in Europe or Canada and a lot of what they're saying may not apply to you in the US. Here I knew they didn't test for parallel parking but they also didn't make me back into a space or do the driving backwards thing. Again my advice is to do whatever you can to find out about your local dmv and what they actually test on because while it's nice to learn extra things you should be focusing on the core stuff so you pass the test. You can learn some the other stuff later. Just focus on the test.

I took mine back in October and passed the first time! I was so nervous that I nearly threw up that morning, but I wasn't as nervous during the session. It's very easy!

The part about the yellow light strikes me as so odd. What it leads to, is drivers approaching the lights focusing so much on the lights themselves that they fail to see what's going on in front of them. What if a pedestrian decides to risk it and cross the street as you approach? Yellow means prepare to stop, not stop. Also, if you're coming in fast, you don't slam the breaks just because the lights go from green to yellow. That's a surefire way of getting rear-ended and having to pay for the damage.

Took it once and failed bc the pedestrian walked off the curb as I had started turning. Taking it again on Wednesday half a year later because of covid restrictions… I’m so anxious. I’m ready to be over this whole driving thing because I have had really bad anxiety over it. It’s not worth my mental health but unfortunately I need to drive for my job

Having passed my test on the first try, it really did sound intimidating and ended up being one of the most gratifying experiences I’ve had. I’ve been driving a little over a year now, and it actually baffles me how many daily encounters I have with people who have little to no regard for other motorists, or their own safety. How they managed to pass their test (regardless of attempts made) is astounding.

Im 22 years old and I'm gonna take my test in a week. I think im a pretty good driver but i have an anxiety disorder, and when I have bad anxiety i tend to shake really bad and screw up everything. Driving itself doesn't give me anxiety, but im afraid the test will and make me fail. Im scared and just thinking about it makes my stomach hurt :/

Comment here from germany. Love the fact that you show real life examples of: How not to do it. We also fail the test when we switch lanes in the wrong order. 1. Switch on indicator 2. Look over shoulder 3. Make the switch to your lane If your order is incorrect you fail. An question of mine is how many persons are in the vehicle at an exam? We have 3 (you, your driving teacher as co-driver and zur examer in zur backseat)

When I was in San Marcos doing my driving test we were supposed to move into the right most lane pulling out of the DMV but the tester would ask them to move right a lane afterwards and it was an instant fail for hoping the curb. All 6 of the other people I was there with failed except me, because I happened to ask why the best driver of us who went first failed while I waited for my turn to come up.

Although I watched this video just now while passed the G2 and G tests 2 weeks ago (literally I only had a 7-day gap between G2 and G), I still find this equally important for me as a reminder for safely navigating the roads, thanks for the video!

I took my test in the late 90’s. The first test that I failed by couple points. I took it a month later and passed. I had my first car just before the first test was taken. I thought that I did pretty good on the first one. Luckily when I took it and it was in my town that I’m living in. I got my license at 29 years old. I didn’t get my license in my teens. I waited in my late 20’s. I did practice in driving over the years with a permit.

Just wanted to say thank you your videos really helped me pass my road test first time (even though I definetly shouldn’t have passed) but appreciate what you do a lot.
