You can also highly expect a refusal even though you did all of the above right and everything is correct, in the norms and the way it should be, at the end of the day it all comes down to the visa officer's emotions and mood that day since all the power is concentrated in his hands, so don't get scared if you did everything right and still got a refusal the reason will make you laugh and will sound unlogical but fear not always try again and address the past refusal and focus on how you did everything right and you are serious and they didn't take that into account etc and that you have school soon (for study permit), hopefully, a new visa officer will process your case and Accept you.

I am an international student who came to Canada in 2019 to start school 2020. I want Canada to know that I am grateful that they decided to extend the work permit. However, my sadness comes from the fact that if I leave Canada I can't return. I don't have visa or work permit in hand. My mom died from cancer this year and I could not attend her funeral. How does IRCC view the use of international student loan (eg from MPower Financing, Prodigy Finance, etc -- these do NOT require a Canada/US-based cosigner) to finance graduate studues when applying for a study permit? Once approved, such loans are disbursed directly to the DLI, so the funding is guaranteed. But I'm unsure if IRCC is ok with this because the funding is guaranteed, or if they deem the student's inability to finance their studies by themselves as a negative factor.
