Maybe I'm old, but Richard Gere? What about the multitudes of movies he made BEFORE Pretty Woman? An Officer and a Gentleman, American Gigilo, etc...and you never mentioned Chicago, which came out in 2001, AFTER Pretty Woman...he even won a Golden Globe for that role! He never fell off the face of the earth, he was just on it & performing since before most of you were born. 😂 Legends never die.

Maybe MsMojo is too young, or just uninformed, but Richard Gere has had a fabulous career, and is now, at 70, less RomCom and more serious. Also, if they had done a little research, they would know that Gere's political activism, like against Jewish Settlements in Palestine, etc, can hinder a career. He's still quite active, though.

I don’t know who’s writing these scripts lately but the sound bitter and mean. Just because you don’t see someone doesn’t mean they aren’t “successful” and to not mention that some have changed fields or made family a priority makes it sound like they’re crap not like they made life choices. We’d still watch the video without the snark.

True. The scripts are really 'off' these days. Did you watch that Ellen video? Years prior, they went from treating Ellen like a 'queen' who does nothing wrong, to now slandering her if she so much as prank her guests or do her skits. I'm not defending Ellen (she might really have been a terrible person, who knows) but it just shows what WM/MissMojo cares about. They're big on social media 'issues' so I know they've been seeing the narrative on Ellen lately: that she is old, grumpy and out of touch. So, they make a video about just that. They're very fickle and would latch onto the new big fad or controversy w/out much research or consideration for others.

About Josh lucas, he did a lot of action adventures and thrillers. Movies like Poseidon, stealth, stolen, and glory road. All good movies. Time to expand your horizon ppl and check out other genres. Rom coms are few and far between nowadays.

I think MsMojo put him there because they wanted to see more of him in rom coms, and so did I. But his career after Sweet Home Alabama went different route expanded roles. I think many fans can agree that we wanted more of him in rom com leading role after Sweet Home Alabama though.

Wow this list did not miss! Each and every one of those men have been a fantasy for me! I actually fell in love with Jesse Bradford in his role in “Swim Fan”. But of all of the Jake Ryan will forever have my Heart ♥️ and why is everyone getting on the channel for only mentioning their heart throb roles when the title specifically mentions them for that purpose. They do make sure to mention the actors later work but the point is that they ARE NO LONGER MAKING ROM COMS LOL

Cary Elwes is nearly 60, and like Richard Gere is a bit old for rom- coms. He's been in lots of things including the most recent seasons of "Stranger Things' and "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" so saying he fell off the map is just wrong.

hannahsings19 the third one wasn’t related to the first two movies at all. It was a cash grab and nothing else no original cast members or anything. There were rumors in the 2010’s that they wanted to finish the original films with a third film that would have Jennifer and Freddie back but nothing came of it I hope that it happens someday

its not the actors its the times. these are all late 90s early 2000s movies the simple times where people actually loved watching things like college high school grad, garage band movies. Originality started to die off, the actors we were use to seeing started getting older and so did we. Once smartphones came out, the internet took over and then gaming.. technology evolved, remakes over remakes smothered us cuz Hollywood ran out of ideas cgi took over and now instead of these amazing actors who won us over, they keep putting these talentless pretty faces on the screen who act no better than porn stars. instead of taking time and making quality films, everything is rushed, details are are minimum, everything is cheaply done and as long its pretty and doesn't cost too much it's a movie.

Richard Gere has one of Hollywood’s most successfull (ongoing) movie careers, which most actors could only dream of. He is now 70 years old and you put him on this list, for ”falling off the (rom com) map”? Whatever we’re you thinking???

Hold up...hold tf up! Richard Gere & Cary Elwes are legends who left rom-coms ages ago. Gere did "Chicago" & Elwes did "Saw". They were working actors in their 20s, 30s, and 40s...while actors in my generation on this list have not done anything in years (Prinze, Jr. has done a lot of directing & voice over work, so back off him, too). This is list a whole makeover!
