The scariest logo in my childhood was the THX deep note (not the digitally mastered version) Back when I used to live in my old house, I was going to watch revenge of the sith because my dad bought the DVD when they first released. After I pressed play and the menu did it's transition, it was nothing but darkness. And then... *It happened...* There were white words saying "The science of sensation". After the words faded away, I heard the deep note rise. The THX logo appeared and the deep note stopped rising, But the loud sound kept going until the end of the intro. *I couldn't sleep for days....*

Finally someone else who was scared of the Walt Disney Home Entertainment logo! I used to have nightmares about that logo and the Disney DVD logo (along with the MGM and 20th Century Fox logos). Most of these went away when I got older but the WDHE logo still startles me sometimes to this day. I used to skip the logo when it came on until I was 17. I recognize now that it is a cool logo, but even thinking about it gives me bad flashbacks.

Am I the only one who was scared of the “Distributed by Buena Vista” logo? A film I watched all the time when I was little that had/has that logo was the many adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Everything about it, from the abstract blue background, to the weird font used for the “Buena Vista” text, and ESPECIALLY the music I found creepy. I’m not entirely sure if the music in the logo on many adventures is used in other films. It wasn’t the only logo that scared me - I was also scared of the radical sheep logo, Sony wonder website bumper, paramount dvd logo, paramount feature presentation logo, “cheesy shield” Warner home video logo, aka cartoon logo, and 2002 deluxe digital studios logo. As well as the “flashbang” bumpers on 90s Disney tapes as well as another Disney bumper - the “spinning disc” bumpers from 2006-2020. They’d have a spinning disc on the top left corner and the music would always be unpredictable, where sometimes they’d be calm, while others they’d be bombastic. Even to this day I mute the volume whenever I watch a dvd with those bumpers.

Literally in context, the reason why it is scary is that those intros are there to show that these companies distributed these movies, and those intros are so loud because they try to make those as professional as possible, and make you feel like this movie is really high quality and professional and loud as hell lol, but I think that they should make it like short and simple, it would be better and not scare the heck outta people lol. I've been terrified of these movie intros. You should have added the Walt Disney Home Video, that one is more terrifying than the Home Entertainment. That one will haunt you for a long time if you watch that intro alone.

THX is scary by not only the appearance but most of the times by the high pitched deep notes. The worse scary one other than Broadway is the newest THX logo (THX ECLIPSE). This one is even scary cuz it's much louder than the rest and it has higher bass and treble. Anyways THX doesn't scare me anymore unless it came from space and then suddenly appeared loud in my house at night when my room is dark, I would just freeze and not move for a bit.

The only one that got me as a child was the THX and everytime it would come, and the sound of the logo's beginning started, I would scream and run from the living room and hide from the TV thinking that the logo, the TV, or someone was going to get me. I am now 16 and it still get's me..

(For Big Idea's logo) I thought you would mention the old Big Idea's logo that had the letters small at first, but then pop up into it's original size, as big as until now (not to mention Larry, who was looking at the letters with his head turned along with his back facing the screen but at the time the letters pop up to its big size, he bumps into Bob, who was next to him and looks at him while Larry shrugs and then the both look at the viewers with smiling faces, you know, Bob with his pearly whites teeth shown and Larry with his mouth open while smiling like this ":D" due to being shown with one tooth) while the "A" in "Idea" pops up a little more, making a random minor sound from the VeggieTales episode that had that sound heard in a scene in the episode at the end of the credits.

The THX ,the Walt Disney Home Entertainment, Home Video (Gold) , and the Disney Dvd Pure digital magic/ movies magic and more logo always froze me when I was little. When I was a kid, the only logo that scared me was the Columbia Pictures logo (the logos from 1993-2006 and 2007-present). Here are a few reasons why: 1. The torch lady statue creeped me out. 2. I always got scared of the flash at the beginning of the logo.

I remember as a 6 year old child around 2006 is when I was trying on a Superman Costume. It was a Superman Returns Movie halloween costume and when I put it on underneath. The Superman Logo scared the crap out of me. I remembered screaming as I took it off. I've been scared of Superman logos ever since that day and still am as an adult. I'm scared of Superman logos when it's reverse because it's like both of them have different faces. Never have I ever and will never wear a Superman logo shirt in my life because of how huge and reverse it would look when mirrors or glass around me will reflect me.

the music in the Warner Brothers logo is actually a re-orchestrated version of As Time Goes By from CASABLANCA.So it's not scary, but rather iconic. And they're still using this theme for their logo and it's incredible work.

Roxie, I think I might have to agree with you because I used to love the thx logo, but nowadays it gives me nightmares. I also find Pixar scary for a 1 yr old girl, you remember the logo that has no background music, just the sounds of luxo jr. After he would smash the I, he stares at you at the end giving the scare that the viewer is his next victim. I was still scared until I was 8, I became comfortable with that logo.

those other logos didnt really scare me when i was little but, the THX one scared the most, one time when i was a kid i was gonna watch star wars with my 2 big brothers at a movie theatre but what i didnt know is that it had a thx logo with it! and before the movie started i was like yay! were gonna watch star wars and... this happens... i hear the thx logo! my god i was terrified and i was getting creeped out at the beginning cuz there was like a black screen with a blue rectangle that says the audience is listening and the THX letters fade in! and it becomes very loud! and i was getting so terrified and i was covering my ears but i could still hear it very clearly and it was so loud that the whole room was vibrating and i was crying until the star wars theme played

Girl, out of all the logos, MGM and THX are the ones that actually scare me. Like whenever I was watching a movie that was THX certified I would always leave the room I was in until it was over. Nowadays, I just go to the scene selection and press on the first scene(If it’s a THX certified dvd) As for MGM, there’s a variety of logos with different lions, the ones that scare me are the logos that use the 1995 roar and the 2008 roar. From now on, if I watch a movie by MGM, I am just gonna mute it. The other logos don’t scare me, I actually enjoyed seeing the Warner Bros. logo whenever I watched Happy Feet. But it’s your opinion and I respect that.

The paramount logo used to scare me but I'm over it now, the THX logo used to scare me to hell, but unlike paramount, I had to go to therapy to remove my fear of that sound that sounded like the Nazis were invading Germany or the Great Fire of London siren. But i'm over that too. But those weren't the worst. The worst was the A.K.A Logo they use at the end of every Ed, Edd n' Eddy episode. The first time I watched it, it was around midnight when the episode finished and the credits were on. I was happier because the backround was Ed, Edd and Eddy and they seemed really happy and joyful, then it stopped, it all stopped. The happy music, the backround and the credits, some sad, disorted music started coming in and a yellow picture came in, written in black "Produced by A.K.A Cartoon inc." but on top/bottom was a picture of one of Ed being stabbed by a really big pencil, and blood was dripping out of his heart. I lost it. I ran into the lamppost (the electricity was on) and got electrocuted on my finger, but that didn't stop me, I ran into my room, into my blue lamp, I got a burn, but that didn't stop me either. I got to the door which was locked and I tried to open it, but little did I know that it was loose and it fell on me, I was bleeding just like Ed (mabye Ed's was worse) and I had to go to the hospital. The End. lol
