I don't think you're in the minority on this one. I had a hard time figuring it out a few weeks ago, I have a pic of the coupon, but not the free light coupon. I think this will backfire on HF unless they make it much easier to follow. If I get rejected for a coupon, I'll pass on buying. HF has raised it's prices on a number of things, the 20~25% coupons are a must now.

Hey Bear, one thing you forgot to mention is that if you purchase a HF product at regular price and the coupon comes about within 30 days of that purchase you can take your receipt and coupon back to the store and receive that cost savings in ways of cash back or in store credit. I learned that from one of the sales associates. I also tried it out with my Yukon rolling tool cabinet which i picked up on preorder for $299, with taxes it came out to $358, signed up for inside track club which they gave it to me for free (didn't question why or how, I just rolled with it) ...one week later the $30 off any Yukon coupon came out, took my receipt back with coupon BAAMM!!!... received my cost savings in hand.. Just thought I'd share..

Good call on the corded tools. They’re old technology, the secrets are out on how to make ‘em, and they just work. They’re simple, no frills tools, but their recip saw and angle grinders are impossible to beat for the price. Sure, if you use it every day, get a higher quality one, but for weekend warriors and diyers, they’re a solid choice. Heck, the angle grinder I paid $14 for as a one use throwaway still works perfect 5 years later.

Most of my wood shop is bauer and chicago electric. The only thing that isnt is my table saw and my drills because I got some on a killer sale from Milwaulkee. Other than that for a diy guy/gal this shit is at the very least a damn good entry option. The price at HF lowers the entry requirements to get people involved

I've been using their Chicago electric angle grinder for 3 years now and I can't ruin it. I spent 4 hours using that thing to grind off 8 heat pressed rivets on a tractor in a field because my torch was 60 miles away and all I had was a grinder and grinding discs. Worked like a charm.

my hf shopping pro tips: 1) use the harbor freight coupon database plugin. it will show the BEST coupon right on the HF webpage or on your wish list. 2) go with a plan! 3) abandon the plan! be sure to browse every isle at least once and buy a bunch of stuff you didn't intend to buy. 4) make a plan to go tool shopping again to get the stuff you forgot from your last plan.

The best tool harbor freight sells is the high position motorcycle lift. Rated at 1100 pounds and lifts nearly 30 inches high. I use them for small engines, welding tables, lifting heavy items into pickup beds. I recently loaded and unloaded a refrigerator by myself into a dodge RAM. They went up in price, but two of them take the place of a lift table for a huge bike. I figure a bike you are twisting wrenches on is too much a strain after maybe 500 pounds, so buy two and stretch a platform between them for safety . Use good judgement

Man, the nice girl running the register at my local Harbor freight will save me soooo much money on my purchases. I don't even need any coupons ever, she just automatically pulls her phone out and starts scanning all these different bar codes for pretty much every thing in my basket. She is very friendly. Red: I am ALWAYS super nice at HF, to everyone. To say they are nice, over the top helpful is accurate, always. Several; times I have called to see if something is in stock, explain that I am an hour drive away (I am), every time they pull it and hold it with my name on it, even without me asking !! Recently I printed out 4-page 'coupon page' on 1 double sided. Knew the bar code would be too small to read or scan I wrote the coupon bar code next to the items I intended to buy. Woman at counter almost jumped over counter to hug me! Next time I was in she 'remembered' me, made a comment and somehow I got the 20% coupon off of all 7 items I purchased. Yes, it PAYS to be nice. But I am not nice, respectful or polite, cooperative for that reason, it's because that's how I want to be treated myself. I guess it's a pay-it-forward that works, naturally.

I purchased an extra blade not knowing that there was a blade in the box, which didn't come with a new one. It was a pleasant surprise. The only things that were missing from the box were the plastic screw on cap for the bevel control and the wrench to change the blade. There was also some scratches on the plastic, wood shaving on the tool, but everything worked fine. It was a great deal.

Wow your channel just happened to pop up don't know why cuz I've never seen you before but when it comes to Harbor Freight stuff I love it personally I know they have brand-name stuff and even their stuff is okay with me I've had some of their tools for 10 plus years and still works great like they're Chicago Electric HL VP paint sprayer. I have to say I like talking bear pretty cool. Great video man keep them coming, stay safe stay well and as always God bless

If I want to return an item simply because I changed my mind, I always make sure to tell the clerk that "there was nothing wrong with it; I didn't even open it. I just decided to do something else." (Plus of course, if I'd bought several different sizes/types of an item and then chosen the best one for my specific needs, I always make sure to keep the remaining items very clean, pack them back up very neatly, etc., so that the store can simply put them back on the shelf just as they are.) That way I never get charged a restocking fee. Probably the restocking fee would not apply if the item was defective, either? I mean, if you got the item home and it either broke under normal circumstances or didn't work as it was supposed to, you should be entitled to a full refund?

@thedenoftools I've bought both the bruar and the heruelus 6.5in saw blades for my DeWalt saw and I would like to say the braur is as good as the heruelus blade for almost half and it cuts well wears well I'll buy them over DeWalt any day and I'm a die hard Stanley Black and Decker guy

Wanted to ad something to the Miter saw deal you were talking about , you mentioned waiting for it to go on sale to 170, If you use the %20 off coupon that’s available online like most of the year (just looked it’s on there now) the saw would come out to $160

Great video as usual. Best part about Harbor Freight that kind of goes unsaid, is that when you go in there with a hand tool that is broken they will do what they can to satisfy your need. I recently took two 3/8 drive ratchets (both broken) into my store and they exchanged a brand new ratchet off of the peg board. Only cost me 6 dollars with exchange. Be nice, you will reap the rewards.

I think that the counter people are incentivized to up-sell the ESP because my last purchase, the girl gave me 20% off that I otherwise would not have gotten and she sold me the ESP and STILL saved money on the transaction. I'm perfectly fine with that too! I got it on the electric impact.

I've been wanting to get me one of them Pitts hydraulic lift table cart. One of the guys at the store used it to put the U.S. 30' 5 drawer tool cart I bought in the back of the truck and I was like... I GOTTA HAVE ME ONE OF THOSE!

Corded tools-“you’ll be stunned by the run time!” Good one. Recently, for the first time, I joined the inside track club. Welll... most of what available is 2nd rate stuff. Rarely is anything top line available. I did get the grinder stand for $39.95, at $10 off. But it’s a pretty junky stand. To get it to work properly, I had to spend another $20 from McMaster Carr for a rubber sheet and 2.5” wide feet. Otherwise, the vibration is so bad. It’s not usable. The regular coupons are much better. Just bought that 26” tool cabinet, in yellow too. Pretty good.

I had an air compressor and needed 1 part . Could never get that part anywhere and the didn't offer them. So I ended up putting it in an auction for parts . Another time I got the dirt auger and it couldn't dig in my soil ,so I returned it a week later with reciept and they charged me a $37.00 restocking charge. Didn"t even get a kiss. I hope the parts thing helps to do minor repairs. Thanks for this video.

When I was an apprentice mechanic, I was never ashamed of having Taiwan tools. Yes, they were at times frustrating when they broke. An old school mechanic told me, " The tool does not make the mechanic, the mechanic makes the tool" The moral of the story is, buy the cheap stuff at first to get your experience. Replace the broken cheap stuff (each piece 1x1) with good stuff off the tool truck . The reason is you can take that cheap stuff back and the individual tool WILL BREAK AGAIN. If you replace the broken (1tool) with 1 quality tool it ended that issue. BONUS, when you get the experience to be able to afford the high quality stuff, you will always need the 2nd one that you bought because the cheap broke.(for no one knows why)

I'm so tired of my drills just stopping and never working again I have a warrior and two drillmasters in the trash because they just stopped and will not recharge. I bought a Worx, and still working fine for 10 years now and I love it. I also have an old black and decker about 20 years old and still working well. Of course, I also have a corded one just in case the others conk out.
