Nice to see Maritzburg College in the top 10, my hometown school.Almost went to Maritzburg College. I think the schools to have produced the most outstanding Springboks are, Paul Roos Gymnasium, Paarl Gimnasium, Hilton College, Maritzburg College & Grey College.

Western Cape-breadbasket of SA rugby.Do we really need the other provinces to create a Springbok team?

The main reason the Western cape has the most Springboks, is that in the beginning years of SA rugby(1897-1920) the Springboks were only chosen from players in the Western cape. The reason being travel was not feasible. Paul Roos have that many Springboks, because Paul Roos himself was the first captain and he chose the teams, so why not pick his mates?😂 If one looks at the professional era, it is much less in favour of WC, with Grey being the biggest contributor by some margin.

@@etiennebellingan6779 Grey is the only big rugby school in the entire Free State.Paul Roos have to compete for players with Paarl Gym,Paarl Hoër, Bishops,Sacs and Rondebosch.As for talking about ancient history, here's a Bok team made up of current players from WC:15-W le Roux,14-C Kolbe,13-D De Allende,12-D Willemse,11-K Arendse,10-H Pollard,9-H Janjes,8-E Roos,7-PS du Tout,6-D Fourie,5-S Moerat,4-E Etsebeth,3-S Kitshoff,2-Nobody here,1-F Malherbe .
