Within the Pokemon franchise there are a few different classifications of Pokemon that are officially recognized - but some, like Pseudo Legendaries, are not. But what is the secret classification known as 'Semi-Pseudo' Legendaries, and what are the top 10 most powerful, best, and strongest Pokemon in the world that are part of this classification? These are the best of the best non legendary and non
pseudo legendary Pokemon of all time as opposed to the top 10 pseudo legendary Pokemon!

Ahh yes, this reminds me of how I mistakenly thought that Haxorus was a pseudo-legendary Pokemon in Gen 5. It's Dragon type, is a 3 stage evolution, I figured that was qualification enough, I guess not!

tbf it basically fills the role of Platinum Garchomp: gotten midgame if you know what cave to look in, comes with an endgame STAB move, and fully evolves right at the end of Victory Road in a faster run if you save some Rare Candies

Well, its attack stat (147) is the 3rd highest among non mega and legendary pokemon. Rampardos (165) and Slaking (160) make the Top3.

@@aquaneutral heavy duty boots exist, and rock types has the most weaknesses of any types. the only thing that walls rona in OU is blissey/chansey and tyranitar. both are absolutely weak to fighting types or pokemon with fighting type coverage

I wish the semi-pseudo legendaries has a base stat total of 550, that way they become more usable. Especially Flygon, the extra 25 points could help differentiate from Garchomp.

I personally don't mind how Goodra isn't your traditional intimidating pseudo legendary. It's a bit of fresh air, a bit like how Metagross and Tyranitar are non-dragon type pseudo. Although I do agree with you, I prefer Noivern to Goodra. It has such a great design, like for most of Gen 6 pokemons. And dragon types aren't an exception. I mean we've got a T-rex (Tyrantrum), a wyvern (Noivern), a cute dragon (Goodra) and a seahorse (Dragalge). The only thing that would have made it better is a dragon eeveelution to go along with Sylveon and since Dragon was a special type before Gen 4. But even without a Drakeon, that's still the best generation when it comes to dragon designs, at least to me. (I don't really count legendaries through)

I always thought Noibat along with Larvesta needed a middle evolution stage. The grind to get to Noivern and Volcarona is insanely tedious, I've done it both but its kind of unappealing especially to newer players

i actually have a flygon on my main team in shield and there were sometimes where it was the MVP in raid battles like with G max snorlax because it could avoid it's earthquake with it's levitate ability. i hate the fact that since garchomp was shown in the DLC trailer people feel as though it's going to replace flygon.

as cool as dragon is, fairy types being everywhere doesn't help them. and i really like tyranitar's typing. (even though it's still weak to fairy, but at least it has sandstorm to boost it's spd.)

They really should've just put in a light or pure type (cause in japan dark type is called evil type there). Fairies were put in cause pokemon was losing the cuteness appeal and they need to sell merch (it's the main source or income for pokemon, look it up) They then put them in and to make them even more appealing, then made them the strongest typing so people not concerned with cuteness and appeal still will be drawn to them. Just a theory.

@@sechabatheletsane9784 I really feel like there should be changes for fairy types while adding the light type. To me, fairy is more of an equivalent to ghost more than dark. Fae in lots of folklore are actually pretty creepy and can balance with the idea that a lot of ghost pokemon can be nice. We can also see that with dark types too so the light type should be based on angels, since angels themselves are creepy and twisted on their own. Just gives you a sense of entropy

VOLCARONA BY BABYYYYYYYYY I’m so happy for it’s spot! It was my first semi-pseudo, and I thought it was a pseudo when I first got it. My sweet Volcarona carried my team with my starter’s help through the elite four and other challenges, so it will always have a place in my heart.

Should’ve mentioned how Volcarona has it’s own signature move in Fiery Dance - Which no other Pokemon has gotten to this day despite signature moves of non-legendaries becoming more widely distributed these days (e.g. Mystical Fire, Water Shiruken).

One Pokémon I was really surprised to no see at least as an honorable mention is Rotom. In it's debut generation it had the same treatment as Volcarona, being a somewhat weird one off static encounter. It also receives a great deal of attention from the GF and franchise as whole (being the Alola region's dex and Galar's box) and excels at battle due to it's unique gimmick being it's different forms. For the life of my child self, I took YEARS to find out Rotom was not a Legendary Pokémon

Toxtricity and Duraludon FROM GEN 8 could be seen as Semi Pseudo. And I believe Wishiwashi with it's 620 BST as well as Archeops with 567.

i've used a lot of these mons throughout the years - aggron, flygon, and noivern are recent favs - and man. seeing the appreciation for them here is hella rad. funny enough, i didn't think volcarona was going to be on the list even tho i wanted it to be so bad, since i always considered it a pseudo, so i was real happy to see it at the very top of the list!

Yeah bro kingdra was so mystical for me as a kid the first time I fought Clair's with my typhlosion. Always gonna be one of my favorite dragon types but I wish either it's speed was 100 or higher or it's attacking stats 100 or a little higher

IMO there's too many Pseudo Dragons we need more Pseudo Legends like Metagross and Tyranitar, Dragapult should have been Water/Ghost IMO also Electivire and Magmortar should be buffed to the Semi Pseudo class

Rotom. He might have been a legendary but now a day's, he's been pretty much demoted considering you can catch multiple rotoms in x and y and that they are used in every day life in 7th and 8th gen.

@Jacob Perry i don't know if you saw the lol and the emojis that followed but i was clearly just playing around. Ofcourse i know thats his opinion. Thats why i didnt take it seriously. Also no one was talking about which is better cause garchomp wins everyday, we were talking about which do we like better from design wise and just as a pokemon in general.

Back during diamond and pearl and when the lucario movie came out I thought he was the main mythical for gen 4 was so disappointed to find out he wasnt they really do make it such a mysterious pokemon in the game and in lore

@idk memes :D And did a great job with it. in addition to the great design and, they made it pure steel and gave it filter which reduces damage from super effective moves (and the 100 stat bonus of course). it just made it that much more usable. really love it

Loved seeing Kingdra on this list! Ever since I beat my head against Clair over and again to beat her with only an over-leveled Typhlosion, I've loved the design and presence of Kingdra. Love using it to give it the fame it deserves!

Makes sense to have an overleveled typhlosion cuz the game is more non linear based, the leveling system is hurt the most

Having the pokemon guidebooks as a kid, volcarona was actually referred to as a legendary in it. But so was rotom so the guidebook writers may have just been wrong.

have you guys noticed the attention Flygon has been getting now these days? like besides Gamefreak giving us the BS about how they couldn't come up with a Mega Design for it ( And could of gave Aarune Mega Flygon ) It's been shown a lot in promotional material for SM and USUM and even SWSH so It's great lygon isn't really being overshadowed by Garchomp anymore in terms of usage and Popularity. I like both anyway

Gardevoir always looked so elegant and graceful but it also had this feel that it was powerful also. During my first journey of Hoenn I always thought that was the Dragonite and Tyranitar because it was also Wallys ace. Which would compliment Steven who had Metagross but it was still good. It is a Champions ace now if only she had better support and moves (Diantha)

I've thought for the longest time that Zoroak and Volcarona were a mythical. Also I had a idea: What if Truant was updated to work more like Taunt. Where every odd turn you attack and even turn you *have to* use a utility move. Or make it like Pokemon Obedience and have maybe a % chance for Truant to activate?

If that happens, slacking will be OP, 1 turn attack, use slack off second turn as a reliable recovery.

@JD Rome It isn't. It can breed with ditto ffs. And before you bring up manaphy, you cannot breed manaphy to get more manaphy.

@JD Rome case and point! Many people think it is legendary and mythical when it is not. Even when you can find it in the grass in later games like Sword and Shield, or that it could always be bred, people think it is a legendary when it isn't. I don't blame them for the confusion, but it definitely is more commonly confused than I ever thought.

I kind of think maybe Snorlax could have been included on this list. It's late in the Kanto Pokedex, has high base stats, it's well-known with non-fans, you keep finding them in overworld encounters, it gets priveleges like unique Z-moves, etc.
