A pretty good list, but I wouldn't put the Georgia Tech blocked FG on this list by any means. I'd replace that with Peyton Manning to Joey Kent on Play #1 against Alabama, 1995

Also replace the FG against Diet USC with either the Marquez North catch earlier on that drive or the Jauan Jennings bobbled TD down the sideline against Florida

My wife and I were at the Florida game where Wilhoit went from goat to hero. I've never heard stadium get so loud so quick. And I've been to quite a few Kansas City Chiefs games. There was an older lady probably in her seventies sitting next to us. After the win, she started jumping up-and-down. I turned to her, picked her up and started jumping up-and-down myself. It was a great moment.

This game solidified why I wanted to be a student at UTK. The atmosphere here in Knoxville. I mean. I was in tears thinking Tennessee lost to Arkansas in 98. Then the ensuing play? I can't believe that there are no plays against Alabama on this list. I like the Joey Kent comment below, but my favorite has to be the Mike Terry Interception against #2 Alabama in 1982. That was my Freshman year and broke an 11 game losing streak to the Crimson Tide.

@@TheBeach475 Makes me wonder if we had any classes together. I remember Mike Terry making the interception on 3rd down and the crowd started yelling "We beat Bama! We beat Bama!", but from my seat (Section GG) I didn't see the interception. I was yelling "They still have 4th down!" Then I looked at the scoreboard and saw how the little football went from the Alabama side to our side, then it hit me. I yelled "We incercepted it! Oh my God!!!" Best feeling ever. Or at least until the 1985 Auburn game.

So, just to let y'all all know, these plays are all from the last 30 years. UT has been playing football since the turn of the 20th century. There's a LOT of truly amazing plays left off of this list. Not knocking whoever made the video because it's not horrible, just need to maybe re-title it "Best of Last 30 ish years." What's great for me is that I was there for every one of the home moments and was in Athens when Juan Jennings caught that Hail Mary

I was at the Florida game & almost left when Wilhoit missed the extra point! I would’ve still been kicking myself to this day if I’d missed that! While I’m thinking of it, another play should’ve made this list in the greatest UT comeback ever at Notre Dame….ill never forget it because it started the rally, I think right before the half, when Floyd Miley picked up the blocked kick & ran it almost the length of the field for a TD! I was only about 12 & remember that play & the name Floyd Miley to this day because that play was the turning point in the game that shifted the momentum! If that ball isn’t blocked & ran back, the Miracle at South Bend most likely never happens! And while I’m rolling, when Clint Steorner, i know that’s probably spelled wrong, but when Clint took the snap & booted that ball to us & the Vols end up winning a game that was over for the second time in the same season is when everyone with orange blood in their veins knew we would win it all! The other game was the very first one against Donovan McNabb’s Syracuse! They had the game won, but a stupid & sincerely appreciated pass interference put us in field goal range! Jeff Hall was money as long as the blocking held. If I had only used my brain for things besides remembering every big play made in my lifetime in Volunteer football & remembering every iconic line in every movie & tv show I’ve ever seen, I probably would’ve been a straight A student instead of another “just enough to get by” high school football player! Hindsight truly is 20/20

That Arkansas was undefeated, but hadn't played a great team all year. The Vols came out cold...and fell behind early. But once Arkansas spent their initial energy and luck...the rest of the game was the inevitable power of that Tennessee team. It wasn't just the Vols players who believed they were going to win. I thought so too...the momentum was ALL on the side of Tennessee at that point. Arkansas had pretty much gassed out by halfway through the 4th quarter.

This is the issue with most TN fans and the administration. Still stuck in the past. Thats why its so hard to move forward. TN could be great again. They just need to get the administration in line which looks like its starting to and they need a coach that can evaluate and coach amd recruit. Recruiting for TN is now the question mark. We have to win in recruiting if were going to have a chance. Oh and dont forget NIL money now cause its going to be a big part going forward. Basically pay to play.
