Some kids get bored. But most of the time is that they get mad that the teacher didn't let them go right away. There are also times when the student will take a while so the next student (some rival) won't go right away. As they only let one person leave at the time. Once you get to middle school and high school some teachers allow 2 people out at the time this been a boy and a girl. And yes this is in America.

@@Saddonghussein Most of the new text books for a lot of the "standard" classes are just a scam. Physics, Math, English/Writing .. Did the science of basic physics change between 1st edition and 8th edition? Did math change? Does 2+2=4 still, or does 2+2=Fish? .. Did Nouns, Pronouns, Verb, etc change? No ... So why is there a new edition coming out every 2-3 years? So the authors and publishers can make money. Because if people just kept buying used books, as that is what is needed for said class, there would not be near as big of a need for new books. So they mostly just change the problems around and add/remove other problems. In edition 1, problem 2 was 13 x 4. In edition 2, problem 7 is 13 x 4. And a side rant about English classes. In Jr High and High School, it was drilled in to students that 5 sentences form 1 paragraph, and a paper should not have more than 4-5 paragraphs. When you get to College, you get a rough dose of reality if you actually drank that Kool-Aid they served you in Jr High and High School.

Many decades ago (in the early 1990s) I worked in my university library all 4 years of college. ALL of the professors had to give the library a list of the books that were required for their classes. The university library then pulled all of the copies of the books from the shelves and put them behind the front desk on shelves. Those books were then available for use IN the library for 6 hours at a time If the students wanted pages copied, the library would photocopy a chapter at a time (or selected pages) for free so the students could take home/back to their dorm.

In Australia we take lunch boxes to school and now to make sure kids are eating healthy many schools will put pressure on parents not to put snacks and junk food in there, we do though have a tuck shop where we can buy icecream, crisps and sometimes you can preorder your main lunch food from tuckshop which you pay for where you can have curry pies, apple pies, meatier, sandwiches etc. So no student ever had to worry about what cafeteria food was. Also in Australia during lunch breaks (small lunch which is morning tea and big lunch which is midday ) we would eat outside in a undercover area and as soon as we eat we then can go and play outside. Much better than all staying in a big hall, kids are able to release all that energy. I was in school years ago but I loved lunch time!

Over here, teachers dont expect you to ask to go to the bathroom from about grade 10, 16 or so, but its a real doozy if a middle school teacher subs for a highschool one, and tries to treat 16-18yo like childrean

Even when i was 14, I could not do a mile run. I have asthma and my lungs quickly feel like lava. Even when i was taking asthma medicine, it wasn’t enough and got a D for the pathetic run that day.

Regardless of what bullcrap is normal in schools, we can all agree that Sex offenders and bullies should never be normal in school nor be teachers. Like the high school teachers that I’m glad that I’m don’t have to suffer from anymore and along with their and teachers before them outdated rules that who get them fired now and days, others things the high school teachers have done to me who get them blacklisted from every school. EDIT Also I hope no more students suffer from these craps ever again.

Unless you're a teacher......Teachers in Middle & Highschool that don't have bathrooms in their classrooms generally have to wait for someone to cover their class before they can go.

The one about the bathroom is the worst. Toiletpaper? What is that?!? We don't get toilet paper. Unless you go to a rich kids school or a school that knows what toilet paper is. Otherwise you get super mega thin rectagular paper which you have to stack up like 5-10 layers because it aint good. Soft? No thanks make it as hard as possible so it'll hurt when you clean youself (sometimes you bleed) but still give it a paper like appearance. One girl in elementary peed herself because the teacher asked "Can you hold it e few minutes so I can finish explaining?" The bathroom was literally a few feet from us and we where gonna start on the assignment so we could of explained to her when she came back. The girl then didn't go as she....had done so already. English class never changes. Student: Can I please go to the restroom?! I really gotta go pee (in some scenarios the student is even dancing. And from all the times this happened fellow classmates have said PLEASE) Teacher: I don't know can you? (Doesn't explain the problem) Student: well if you let me go I can Teacher: then you can go *Student about to leave * Teacher: I didn't say you had permission to go *Everyone in class confused * Student: but...but you just *About to have an accident * Now this is part that unless you read about proper ediquette or read book where rich people are "trained properly" you will figure out the "problem". Or learn from past experiences. Once I got to middle school I had mental notes on what is the proper way to ask for stuff. You have to remember to say; "May I please go to the restroom?" And if you say it like this "May I please be allowed to go to the restroom?" Teacher will not hesitate to say yes. The food one. Why do they run out of food if we don't get served a lot?! Why don't they have enough if they know that not only students eat there but teachers sometimes do as well. And there is always a shit load of students.

Hangovers are for the young and inexperienced. You can get eliminate hangovers by making sure to drink enough. Not water, enough alcohol. But it has to be EVERY DAY and you have to pass out at midnight to get your 8 hours. Boom, functional alcoholic who never gets a hangover. That's how grown-ups do it.

Well I guess I'm the weird one then. My cafeteria food was never 5 star quality, but it was never cheese bread, carrots, and slop. I do remember that rectangular pizza, fruit cocktail, chicken nuggets, and the mashed potatoes and gravy that always had sort of a funky taste but I ate anyways. As for textbooks, I rarely used them in college. My professors always issued their own personal reading lists and I could always buy the books used at dirt cheap prices. And no, I did not have to wait 5 weeks to do my laundry. At one point I lived with 7 other girls and I still managed to get my laundry done on a regular basis. And no, I didn't live off ramen. I meal planned and made my groceries stretch in such a way that I only had to go grocery shopping every 3 weeks. Buying in bulk was unreasonable because I would never be able to consume it all by myself. I only got my Costco membership for the dental insurance!😅

Maybe it's just the schools I've been to or maybe it's the country I live in, but I haven't seen any school provided lunches... EVER. At lunch time you only had your own lunch that you brought from home or in the last 2 grades you could leave the school and get your lunch from outside the school.

At my elementary school, bathroom breaks wete scheduled into the day. So twice a day we wpuld all go together, in addition to being able to ask permission. Asking permission was more so the teacher could give the students a hall pass rather than actually approving whether or not a student could use the bathroom.

I told my son that he was to NEVER wear pajamas to class bc its low class & disgusting! I worked Walmart 20yrs & that is one of my pet peeves!! The P in PJ does NOT stand for public. As a kid, our only decent food was pizza Friday. And my freshman yr, I refused to even walk a mile on the track. Only time I was ever obstinate to a teacher. She said she'd lower me a letter grade & I was like A to a B?? Hurt me, ill be over here lol
