after discussing with my roommates during watching this film, we all agreed Tommy was provoked by his fiancé. based on the scene it was obvious he had told her to stop and she continued to egg him on. we all agreed that hitting her wasn’t the best but leaving her on the side of the road was completely valid

Ozzy saying that he has no recollection, means that it's absolutely true. Nicky's told that story repeatedly, years before the book was written. In, The Heroine Diaries, Nicky said that he actually died 2 different times before he gave up and kicked.

I cannot believe the first encounter between Tommy Lee & Heather Locklear is not mentioned in this list. According to the movie the two first met at the very same party where Vince & Razzle left to go get more beer & Vince crashed his car killing Razzle. Heather was not at that party in December of 1984 and did not even meet Tommy til the next year backstage at a concert.

Nikki and Tommy did have a meeting at a Denny’s. It wasn’t exactly like it was in the movie. Tommy was already in a band. And of course it seemed like Vince contacted them shortly after the meeting at the party, which was at the Starwood. There isn’t enough time in the movie to wait weeks for a meeting.

That wasn't Slash, but Hanoi Rocks drummer, Razzle. He, just like Slash, also British, and loves wearing the top hat. I suppose Slash started wearing a similar top hat on his honor.

Slash and Steven were both there when Nikki died. The documentaries I've seen say that Slash put him in a cold shower and his (slash's) girlfriend gave him mouth to mouth to try and revive him, both of which MAY have been part of the reason why the paramedics were able to bring him back in the first place. And fuck yea Kickstart My Heart is totally about literally dying and coming back from the dead! That is why it's such a rock and roll classic! Dr. Feelgood is about Nikki's heroin dealer too which is a slightly lesser known trivia fact.

@@manchesterunitedno7 If you read the book that was actually Slash with steven adler. Slash's girlfriend gave Nikki CPR before the ambulance arrived. Razzle died before this overdose. (Nikki overdosed twice)

@@nicostelzig6609 they added Mike Myers because of Wayne's World and his connection with bohemian rhapsody had nothing to do with real life and everything to do with the actor. The timline being fucked up also makes sense because of how much time needed to be fit in a movie with a limited runtime. That being said there are some horrible inaccuracies in the facts which did annoy me.

I thought the best part of the "real or fake" thing was the character of Mick Mars aka Ramsey Bolton breaking the fourth wall constantly to remind us we were watching a movie. But to put it in his words, "I think this interpretation is as good as it gets" which is true.

3 is inaccurate, Nikki suffered cardiac arrest. He was treated with 2 doses of Epinephrine(adrenaline) and CPR which saved his life. Even though he was declared dead(unlikely a paramedic would jump the gun like that and the perform CPR anyway but it can and does happen) he did infact not die. The fact that they where able to resuscitate him after 2 minutes is a credit to the well trained and highly skilled ambulance staff and their quick response time.

The place where they use to always hang out (“Rainbow Bar & Grill” in Hollywood) is a place I always go to. My dad’s friend, Ace Von Johnson, even has his own table with a thing that says his name. The place is really cool..there are famous peoples pictures all over and even some of their guitars!! If you live in LA or near there, you should definitely check it out!!

Just watched the movie and thought it was a hoot and a half. Of course the movie isn't going all the way but it gives a good overview, and it was hilarious! Story time - It was spring 1982, me and my buddies cruising to the record store in his Pinto to check out new stuff. We grabbed this album and a cassette of this crazy looking band no one had heard of. On the back of the cover it said "meant to be played loud enough to make paint fall off the wall" or some shit like that so we knew this we gotta hear. I still have the cassette. After all these years those are still some amazing moments in music history. Then, Shout at the Devil came out and everyone knew who the Crue was and another MTV star is born.

I loved this movie, but if there was any truth it seemed like the band left Vince at his darkest moments. That made me sad for him. Glad I got to see him perform last year. Got some cool pictures from the Soaring Eagle Casino.

Tommy didn't use Zildjian until about 2004, all through the classic years he used Paiste. Tommy used Sonor drums on the Theater Of Pain Tour. Pearl wasn't used until Girls. From there it was DW
