Daiso is the famous Japanese dollar store. There are SO many great items costing 100 Yen (some premium items may cost up to 500 Yen), which is less than $1 USD even including tax (THIS IS THE PRICE IN JAPAN, they have different pricing in other countries but still generally affordable)! It can be overwhelming shopping in Daiso though since there are so many things, so I'll share with you my top 10 favorite items!
Check out their online store (seems like you have to buy in bulk and prices aren't exactly 100 yen but still worth checking out):

Harajuku Daiso Store

Oh yeah totally 50 pounds Japanese girl, that's so relatable. It's kinda like when you buy a "Sharing Size" bag of peanut m&m's to share with somebody instead of eating them all by yourself in less than 40 seconds. I can totally relate, sure.

Daiso is an amazing shop. When it first opened in Doha, Qatar, my sister and I were elated and found so many useful items for home. Although the shop is small and the range of items are limited, we cannot get enough of the products and hope it will grow in the future. The Japanese merchandise are our favourite items.

We have the Dollar Tree in America. Everything is $1.00. People really love yhe store for being cheap & having all sorts of interesting things. I remember when the Dead Sea people were selling these nail kits fir $10 in the mall- years later it is now only a dollar in the local Dollar Tree.

I have recently returned from Osaka & Tokyo and being a kitchen gadget fanatic delighted in my visits to DAISO and other 100Y stores. For me the most useful and interesting were: A4 packet of 3 plastic storage bags Great for sweaters etc. Available in other sizes Small food slicers. Excellent quality blade and take up no space Made in Japan Microwave compact rice cooker. Made in Japan. Orange lid. This is the best microwave cooker I have used. Pre wash rice if you prefer. 3min on 600 then 12min at 200w Just turn it over and you have a professional looking round rice mould. Voila ! The fine mesh storage/travel bags. Various sizes. Excellent quality Happy shopping on your next trip

So far the most useful thing in Daiso for me is the Dual Audio Line Headset Jack Earphone Splitter. It stop me from throwing the old earphone away because now I can use my two half-deaded earphones at the same time. By the way, their tableclothes, clocks and torches are reasonable and useful two.

I have a Daiso addiction! Especially when it comes to crafts and kitchen items. Ours in the US are $1.50+ and the most expensive thing I've bought was a huge donabe for $16. This is the third fall/winter season I've used it and its still one of my favorite purchases!

I have the egg thingy! Best investment ever! No more under- or over-cooked eggs! Another favourite item is these fillable tea bags - I use a lot of loose-leaf tea, so it's great to be able to make my own teabags to take to work and uni. I also got that exact same facemask thingy! (even in the same colour!) I haven't used it yet, but I'm looking forward to trying it. I also buy my notebooks for uni from Daiso, because it's one of the few places in Australia that I've been able to get books with squared paper (that aren't ridiculously expensive).
@TokiYuYu
@TokiYuYu 7 жыл бұрын
The face mask cover I first thought would be kinda useless since face masks now are well made and don't slide around much anymore, but I couldn't believe the difference it makes when using the cover! I got the tea bags too! But I'm kinda lazy and most of the time just go for already made teabags haha

I miss Daiso!! I hope it will open its store here in Toronto or Mississauga, Canada. In Dubai I would go to Daiso to get supplies to use with bento box, furikake, snacks and other kitchen related items :D
