He not only appears alone, but also as a member of the Avengers so some of these stories might include other superheroes like Captain America and Iron Man as well. I think Marvel should have kept Loki as woman until at least after Siege. Sacrifice himself as a woman and, as a "reward," come back as male Loki.

My favorite is Alone Against the Celestials. Some of Thor's best dialogue and a beautiful representation of his integrity and honor.

Deathgaming13 read the whole Geoff Johns run you will be perfectly fine, Geoff Johns run on green lantern is the most epic runs ever, but if you are really a green lantern dieheart fan then read Green lantern chronicles and Geoff Johns green lantern

Besides reading some of the originals as a kid, Thor Rebirth was my first real journey into the Thor comics. It has stuck with me for well over a decade and set a really high bat on comics. The characterization and emotional pace of it really struck with me and framed my perspective for that phase of life. I’ll always remember reading them between classes at my local college’s health building.

I generally like your choices, especially The God Butcher, Thor Reborn, and The Surtur Saga. I love the battle with the Celestials in Thor 300, as well as the first Malekith story (with people exploding from eating french fries), Thor and Galactus vs. Ego, the Living Planet (Thor 225-228), and the story at the beginning of the Roy Thomas run where Thor takes a camera crew to Asgard and the cameraman becomes a version of Thor. Honorable Mentions: Silver Surfer 3, Fear Itself

VonWenk Fear Itself is EPICC, but it's not really a Thor story even though he's somewhat the main hero in it i still consider it a Marvel major event story

Wow Im surprised a video like this was made for Thor and his comics. Thor is my most favorite Superhero of all time and i have to say this is a actually a really good list, Ive read 9/10 stories listed here and I can honestly say Im impressed. I had a fear in mind you guys might've included the jane foster garbage that's been going on for the past 3 years but Thank Odin you didn't, I 100% agree with The Surtur Saga being #1 that just might be my favorite Thor story of all. I feel Disassembled-Ragnarok could've been a little higher maybe like Top 3 even, the Thor reborn series that follows was a bit boring in the beginning but it's 11/10 artwork really made up for it. Overall this is a solid list and anyone looking to get into Thor comics can start by reading any one of these comics or the stories they're a part of.

Skurge's Last Stand #1, personally think that is on the short list of best single issue comics of all time, and includes one of the greatest comics moments of all time. The God Butcher and Godbomb should be combined into one entry and #2, imo. Then Surtur Saga, Ballad of Beta Ray Bill, The Midgard Serpent. Otherwise, pretty good list; I do think Jurgens' run is under-appreciated though.

In Thor 256, travelling the stars in search of Odin, Sporr takes Sif; later they run into the Grey Gargoyle, later Volstagg is bestowed with the Oden Force after Odin (temporarily) dies... A great run that i hate to see unmentioned.

welllll at least you guys MENTIONED the "king thor/the reigning" storyline, which actually is THE BEST thor comic storyline ever... dan jurgens' run of thor in the late 90s, from about issue 35 or so, or the death of odin storyline, up until the end....i HIGHLY suggest anyone reading this pick up those books...the omnibus comes out in october i think...
