The two shows have nothing in common other than to be cartoons. Animaniac is filled with references from pop and classical culture, it breaks the 4th wall 30 times a minute and is filled with mini cartoons. While South Park is a satire of life in a small town in the USA. It's like saying that City Hunter is the friendly version of Berserk because both are manga...

Honorable Mentions: *Barney the Dinosaur -There's a character named "Baloney," an orange dinosaur. A parody of Barney the Dinosaur. They went all the way with parodying Barney, right down to Baloney having a one-dimensional personality no matter what happens. What do I mean by that? Well, you know how Barney is happy-go-lucky? You know how that's pretty much his ONLY character trait? That's Baloney for you, he never got sad, angry or afraid no matter what punishment came before him. *Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels -During a Mindy and Buttons sketch spoofing Alice in Wonderland, there are 2 characters called "Tweedledumb and Tweedledumber." These 2 modeled after Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniel's characters in Dumb and Dumber.
