I agree. I feel she’s always known and that’s why she wanted them to reconnect. She’s Elliot better half and if Kathy isn’t around he needs that.

Kathy was able to die knowing Elliot was truly faithful to her and their marriage despite the deep connection and friendship he and Olivia always had. I'm pretty sure she would want Elliot to find happiness again and love - and she probably would be the least surprised for it to be with Olivia.

Kathy stabler would not be surprised if Elliot and Olivia got together because she wanted Elliot to be happy

honestly there were so many scenes to choose from. I didn't go with the wedding because it was Olivia who made the toast and I wanted scenes where Elliot was doing mostly the talking or it was blatantly his pov like the first clip

Agreed. In Fault, Elliot says, "You and this job are about the only good things I have left...I don't want to lose that." He was upset because he chose helping her over saving the little boy. He acknowledges their chemistry but knows it can't interfere with their work otherwise they both make the wrong decisions.

I feel like it’s bound to happen before the shows over it would hurt too many long time viewers I mean Ik y they dragged it but they are both at points where they no longer are working together so I feel like it’s about time they be each other’s soulmates

It looked like love at first sight.

In context, the story was about a woman who was alone, had no family and had no connection to neighbors around her. She ended up dying by suicide because of her childhood trauma of being abused by her father. The case reminds him of Olivia even though it wasn't exactly her backstory but it hit close to home. The title "A Single Life" is a double entendre for Olivia's life as well. Elliot's comment to Olivia about her being "a monkette" kind of alluded to him wondering if she was that alone in life too. His facial expression when he's watching her and she goes "What?" sort of shows how he's thinking about her life outside of SVU. Possibly wanting to show her she's not alone in a way. Definitely a sign of him developing a curiosity into her life and wanting to know more, and even possibly...feeling love already. lol

Those are literally two examples from over 30 years ago out of thousands of shows that have come since. There have been so many amazing shows over the years that have written canon romance that worked out perfectly. Fans have wanted this for 20 years, it'll be fine. Plus, Mariska wants Elliot to be Olivia's endgame anyways.
