Great vid. Didn't understand your first point. I have reservations for an in-park hotel and a America the beautiful pass for next June. Do I need to still need to apply for a three day pass?
@AnJrue32
@AnJrue32 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! And yes, even if you have the annual pass, you still have to make reservations during the busy months (summer), which June falls under. Check out recreation.gov at least 60 days prior to your day of arrival, because sometimes they do have fee-free days. If the days you’re traveling aren’t one of the “fee-free days”, you only have to pay $2 (non refundable) for one vehicle. Just make sure you select the option that says you have the annual pass. Hope this helps!

Good question, I remember seeing some in Yosemite Village, but honestly outside of that area, I don't think I saw too many. Sorry I can't be of more help!

"Yosemite trails are so poorly marked". I will second that. We were there mid June and I scratched it off of my bucket list. Personally I like Glacier much better than Yosemite. Glacier is a hikers dream. Yosemite was nice but for us a one timer.

@@AnJrue32 When you go to Glacier I highly recommend Iceberg Lake trail. It is 10 miles roundtrip but not difficult. Beautiful ! Our first trip there it was closed because of grizzly activity.

Just depends on what you want. All the hikes and roads are open during this time Vs the colder months. If you wake up early, you can still get decent weather on hikes!

why would you want a city near you when you visit a national park? the whole point is to get away from the city life.

Just depends on the type of person I guess! My wife and I like a nice restaurant/brewery/bar after a day of hiking and enjoying the great outdoors, but I certainly can see what you mean!
