I would argue you dont need to scrap everything, more like focus on things that contain screws, springs, adhesive, and lead. Lead only needs to be bothered with if you intend to craft ammo. If you for some reason want to level with energy weapons this will probably not hold true. You also won't really need spring until you start repair or crafting power armor legs. But adhesive and screws seem to be used in most everything. Scrapping weapons for plans is not only a good idea but it should be done as much as possible. Just be sure to toss all the excess wood and steel you build up. I would say no more than 200+ steel or wood at any time less you need it for base building. It's easy to acquire dont hoard the shit.

I’m level 30, if you complete the brother hood of steel event, “Line in the sand” which is next the the main BOS building you will get an automatic grenade launcher

Just a thing to note about weapon scrapping for mods, you don’t have to scrap the same weapon to get parts for it, just a weapon of the same ammo type e.g scrap hunting rifles to get parts for snipers, scrap sub machine guns to get parts for combat rifles, you get the idea.

Nuke codes only last about a week, and for new guys if you remove power armour pieces you can use the frame with multiple benefits without the level cap just to help

You can swap out the perk cards for hack ans pick lock when needed. So you dont actually need higher then 3 per or int

*!-PUBLIC ANNOUNCMENT-!* NO one covers this or told me this, but when you level up, you do not have to pick the stat you want card just to get the card.meaning i can go from lvl 1 to 2 then open the level up menu, and pick strength but choose and agility card. - HOW IT WORKS - So you pick the stat you want, then after you choose the stat it will show you a handful of perk cards pertaining to that stat, you use the "Z" and "C" buttons on the PC(same buttons for cycling through you build menu at your workshop/base) to cycle through *ALL* the perk cards that are available for that level. - SIDE-NOTE - 1) you do not need to keep lockpicking, armour smithing, or hacking cards equipped all the time, infact you should only equip them when your doing that activity! What does that mean? > See. (2) 2) You only need 5 points in intelligent to use max armour/gun building cards so if your not using an Int. Based build do not put in more than 5 points into intelligence. 3) The same goes for hacking and of course armour/lock picking for perception. (Side,side note🤣, the gun building perk cards also decrease weapon degradation so they are good to equip,the armour ones however and purely utility) 4) *DO NOT PUT MORE THAN 5 POINTS INTO STRENGTH* unless you plan to play a melee/heavy weapons build, the reason why? Once you turn lvl 15 you can start using raider power armour, in power armour you gain 10 strength, you can only ever have 15 max! So if you have 6 perk points into strength and hop into power armour,you lost a free perk point! If you plan to play without ever using power armour,maybe do this,but why would you? There are a lot of very tempting carry weight cards for strength that your going to want, don't do it! Just stick with bandolier(makes ammo weight 90%less) and like 1 other card. 5) *-LUCK LUCK LUCK LUCK!!!-* if you not sure what to do with a point,put it into luck! Luck effects item and rare item drop rates! It effects critical hit chance and offers the best end game cards, EVERYONE should be rocking 15 in luck, no exceptions! 6) Endurance. Dont. I saw you look at that hp n think "oh i need hp il get endurance!" Wrong! Endurance is shit, every point you put into endurance is one more reason to start a new toon. *- CONCLUSION -* You need to distinguish that you will have a UTILITY only perk setup and a solo set up and a group perk card setup, currently there is no way to save any perk card set up so you can swap em all out for a resaved build(like how in world of warcraft you have 2 buttons that auto equip your pvp or pve skills and gear however i bet there will be soon.) You failed to mention event rewards, and vendor prices are based on charisma. I am working towards 20 charisma (max on specials), a regular 25-30% exp bonus, and Hard Bargain 3/3. The event Feed the People with decent charisma rewards canned dog food, for the perk Good Doggy. Plan: Crossbow can be found northwest of Grafton dam, at a crossbow shooting range between some cabins by the river. Requires exotic weapons perk to build, which is in the 30's I believe. Inspirational 3/3, +15% exp Well Rested, +5% exp Foods, +5% exp Bobblehead, +5% exp Wisdom of the Mothman (reward for the lighthouse event southeast of 76), +5% exp Charisma 10 Magnetic Personality 2/2, +6 charisma in a full team Mothman Egg Omelette, +2 charisma Herd Mentality mutation, +2 to all SPECIAL stats when in a team. Demolitions Expert and grenades/mines are the most perk efficient weapons. You can be dealing double damage by level 15 at the latest. ", or" represents the perk to take depending on luck of card packs. I was level 5 with power armour, in the under part of the massive bridge there is 2 doors one of them requires a key, u need to go the carnival and climb the rollercoaster and there is a key in the guys bag in the cart

The black power rifle can be found in a display case at the top of the middle red tower in the corners by the ash heap.

When you lvl you can put your perk point in one special but also get a card from another special Just click on the special you wanna increase then it shows cards you can get but if you press lb/rb you can switch to the other specials cards Example pick to put point in strength but you get a agility perk card with the lvl up

Just southwest of Crosshair (the power armor location) is Aaronholt farm, where you can get even more power armor behind a lvl 1 lock, near the huge silos. It’s extremely easy to clear, just a few mongrels and feral ghouls. You can get more loot at the houses but the power armor is in a shed near the silos. Another good spot is the Philipi Battlefield Memorial, which is very far east, just west of the big palace thing. Here you can find several black power rifles and pistols (extremely good for surprise attacks but reloads very slowly), cool uniforms, and a boss Yaio Guai which is hard to kill and drops good loot.

One thing I discovered is to only pick up adhesive and aluminum scrap, and pick up every weapon You find. You'll generally get all of the scrap you need from the weapons you scrap. Except for the previously mentioned

The crossbow lets you hit from stealth with far less chance of the nearby enemies reacting to the death of the target. especially as silencers are hard to come by.

I wish there was some individual weight breakdown between the item lists so that I could sniff out extra weight that I don't need to be carrying more easily

Two very important locations for Raider Power Armor would definitely be Blackwater mine and Clarksburg

The nuke codes actually destroy themselves after some time so farming early-game is useless

Figure out what perks you want on all the time and that will tell you how many special points each category needs. Lock pick and crafting perks and hacking perks can be equipped when needed.

Scrounger and crafting your own ammo are ways that you will never run out of ammo. Gunpowder and lead are crucial and cheap for crafting your own ammo. Also crafting new armor is cheaper than repairing it plus is helps unlock better mods. I constantly have 300 plus of whatever ammo type I am using.

I got some power armor just northeast of the giant driller in the ash fields and while the leg armor was lvl 30 I just took it off and took claimed the armor

As for the nuke codes, I heard that one of the devs said in a reddit post once that nuke codes expire weekly, so it really wouldn’t matter if people got them early game or not. If that is, another video I watched is truthful.

Oh shit i had no idea about the maps!

I got really lucky to get a spear early on. Spears are the best melee weapon, no question. I'm going full-on with stealth, solo and semi-auto rifle perks, but I always have a decent, lightweight melee weapon for mole rats and radscorpions that burrow and are hard to hit with ranged attacks. I have 15 agility, maxed sneak and shadowed/muffled armor and I need a good melee weapon for high level mole rats and radscorpions. Spears are very rare, so hang on a drop. I've only found two in 37 levels.

Perks are locked by character level. Not perk tree level, perk level on determines that u unlock 1 perk per level up and have 1 space. You can be level 20 with 2 preception and level 5 picklock is available

I am enjoying this game, although I am not terribly interested in grinding to level up. Interesting note: My first perk card was “Inspirational.” Perhaps this is because I received it during B.E.T.A. I was able to use it straight away.

I was def not lvl 5 in perception when I equipped lock picking. I believe I had that in my first perk card stack out of the vault.

If you actually go to the Throat of The World and do Rose's quests you'll get good loot... Though some of the weapons she gave me dissappeared from my inventory.

My only complaint is that i feel like there should be a way where you can unlock more space for your stash box or something like that but not right off the bat

you can find PA raider lvl 15 at MIDDLE MOUNTAINS CABINS and NEW RIVER GORGE BRIDGE - WEST also ;)

For power armor you can just take the armor pieces off and just wear the frame for a set 60 defence

Addition to TIP 1: Be sure to "sleep" in bed for 30s before adventuring, you get "well rested" effect for 2 hours, that gives you +5% exp. Also "well tuned" by playing an instrument for 30s gives you increased AP regen. 5:28 there is also Black Powder Blunderbus, which is only effective at a close range (almost as a black-powder shotgun)

Make sure to sleep on mattresses too. After about 15 seconds you’ll get the “Well Rested” perk which gives you 5% experience gain for an hour.

I love your videos they're all very informative but it's my turn you do not need to place a stash box your camp is a stash box you can transfer items from your inventory or two-year inventory right from your camp unit

the power armor chassis has no level value, just the power armor attached. feel free to use the chassis for str and fall damage and just scrap the power armor pieces if its too high of a level to save.

Guys there a place in the bottom black part of the map called big bend tunnel west that place drops really good weapons (recommend level 12 and up)

My biggest complaint about this game is the lag I experience when shooting machine guns at almost any time, when I shoot a mini gun the frames immediately drop like crazy, which is a little bit annoying

Even if you’re not a high level, participate in the Nukes. If you can’t kill enemies by yourself, drag them over to cars or a group of people and shoot them all then if someone else kills them you get a lot of XP.

In Point Pleasant there is power armor on the roof of the building beside the bridge

If the power armor doesn't spawn do a event or quest or even just sell off some. Stuff and fast travel back and it'll have another respawn chance.. Power armor is a random chance of spawning but it shouldnt take long,

Unlike the other fallout games, you can be level 50 and still battle other players higher or equal level as u. You still have a lot to explore and I think this was a good idea from Bethesda.

At 2:53, what would happen if you get the *Inspirational* perk and upgrade it to grant 15% more exp when in a group and have your friends do the same, after which you all 'Share' the perk. Would this mean that you'd get 30% when in a group of 2 players?

I am having trouble finding vendors to sell to. The two I found so far have 0 caps. This combined with extremely restricted storage has made this game a nightmare. I am literally throwing valuable items on the ground. So fun...

I found a suit of Raider PA when I was only level 10-ish. Where at? You know that big bridge you see when you're just leaving Flatwoods to the south? Yeah. Climb up the hillside and walk on top of it. Hope you aren't afraid of heights. If so, try not to look down. Oh, and look out for the ghouls. Follow the bridge all the way across the span until you get to the very end, near Cow Spots Creamery. There's a small access room in the concrete ramp under where the bridge starts (You'll literally walk right next to it when you finish crossing the bridge). Inside it, you'll find a bunch of goodies, as well as a Power Armor frame with raider armor on it docked to a PA repair station. And yes, there's a fusion core right next to it. Now go out there and have some fun with that Power Armor!

That map on the wall in the room under the bridge Arizona also at the other end of the bridge a room that has a set of raider power armor level 15 damn it you have to locate the key which in all honestly don't remember where the key is I think it's up in the the creamery up above the bridge for that room the other key obviously you know where it is that body on the catwalk but it's level 15 power armor
