Out of all tom fords, black orchid is definitely my favorite. My bottle is from 2013 and it lasts ALL day, potent stuff for sure.

I adore Black Orchid more than any other scent I own. It's hands down the sexiest fragrance this woman has ever laid her hands on!

nothing of his can beat Grey vetiver for me ,regardless of what line they're in ....its the perfect male fragrance ,absolutely timeless and reeks of class,if i had to have one fragrance for life its definitely GV

Love this Tom Ford tom foolery. I love white suede & aside from Oud Wood, OL & or TL this is what I suggest when ppl unfamiliar w/ the brand ask esp. if they/you like smooth fragrances but as always decant first especially if you are spending over $100.

Great list guys! TomFord line of fragrances has some real gems. Unfortunately some of them get discontinued or reformulated these days.

Tuscan Leather is my fav also from private blend and i would add Grey vetiver EDP. To me it's timeless classic and so elegant scent!

Partly based on your great detailed review , I received a sample of the TF ombre leather, and love it and its great performance, so I purchased a bottle , I had to order and wait a week because macys was sold out in stores, so I picked up another bottle at Sephora cause I could not wait, now I have 2. Sephora also carries tuscan leather but they have to order that, I want to try that one also , thank you both for what you do, subscribed.

Oh my God! I was living for the past few years thinking I'm crazy for liking the London and Tobacco Oud for how intoxicating and bold they are, and kinda thinking they are THE Tom Ford Private Blend fragrances. I got punched in the face by the first sniff too, but that made me think about it so much, Tobacco Oud became my first TF fragrance. I wanted the London right away, but it disappeared, and was trying to catch it for a long time. Recently in Dubai I did. Goooood I love these two...

Great list, I really enjoyed it. I just picked up samples of Tuscan Leather, Tobacco Vanille, Oud Wood and Tobacco Oud. These will be the first Private Blends I have tried. Thanks to Mr. Smelly I found these two gentlemen. I am very positive they will be trustworthy guides for my journey into niche realms. I started collecting just a year ago, but I am already turning away slowly from Designers to niches. They just give me the greater more interesting experience. There are niches where you can't believe that there is something in this world that smells that good.

Great video. For Men Extreme sounds like a winner. I'll have to get a sample. I'm happy that London made the list. It's my favourite from the Private Blend line. Hardly ever gets mentioned on KZfaq. Have you guys tried Plum Japonais? If so, what do you think of it? I heard it might be the next one to be discontinued.

I absolutely love your channel, in my opinion it is by far the best around. My only suggestion is maybe to promote yourself a bit more. You should have 10,000s of subs by now and I don't think word is getting around enough about you. Of course, that might be what you want, to keep it more exclusive which I can understand too. Keep up the great work.

Tuscan Leather is superb. My partner and I love it. I've tried all the other TF's and this is the best imo. The dark raspberry opening is just gorgeous and the sexy leathery dry down is amazing. Can be worn with a dark, expensive suit or tough leathers. The gangster reference is apposite. It's only real rival for me is Dior's Leather Oud.

Yeap Tuscan Leather is amazing a very addictive fragrance i also like Tabacco Vanille however it only shine's in colder weather. A bit sickly in warmer climate's. Ombre leather is nice also very suede like.

Tuscan Leather is my No 1 too. Followed by Oud Wood Intense, Neroli Portofino, Black Orchid, Oud Wood.

My #1 is Amber Absolute (the original formulation). It's so bold that it kinda frightens me. One spray only type of perfume. A true monster. Grey Vetiver EDT is one of the best crafted citrus fragrances ever! I can say I enjoy it much more than Nio or Bergamote 22. The only one to face it on eye level is AdP Colonia Essenza. In my humble opinion, of course.

Here is my favorite 8 list from my collection, in this order: Amber Absolute (vintage), Black Violet, Purple Patchouli, Oud Wood, Azure Lime, Japon Noir, Tabacco Vanille, and Italian Cypress. (I do own every other TF cologne, but those are the top 8. Runners up: Bois Marrocain, London, Lavendar Palm, Tabacco Oud Intense, Jasmine Rouge, Shanghi Lily, and MiMiMi - a Twisted Floral in-works parfume, Cafe Rose, Oud Rose (early formulation renamed), and how can I forget Noir de Noir!?)

Great list! I know that lists are subjective but to me Tobacco Vanille is so wonderful. It’s the one that gets me the most compliments from the ladies. Especially during winters.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of Tuscan Leather. I enjoy the raspberry note, but the leather in it is not to my liking. Oud Wood is my favorite, with Italian Cypress being a close second. I do like Tobacco Oud as well.

Very surprised not to see Noir Extreme here. I find it to be sublime and perhaps my favorite TF.

I have couple of TFPB. My top choice is: 1. Plum Japonais 2. Tobacco Oud 3. Tobacco Vanille 4. Oud Wood 5. Vanille Fatale 6. Lost Cherry 7. Lavender Extreme 8. Vert Dencens 9. Tuscan Leather 10. Fucking Fabulous Ombre Leather Anthracite.. But actually i love them all. Depends on your mood what you want to wear next

I don't know if y'r glasses are plastered or whatever , but the bottles are not focused. I was unable to read it ! By the way the reason why so many bottles are discontinued , now everybody's talking about him , just havent got time for other brands switching bottles in the perfumeshop all the time ! ;-)

Do you think Neroli Portofino is a Muglar Cologne upgrade? I have the latter and love it but it seems that NP is a bit of an upgrade. Maybe not for the price? I received an NP sample this week. Thoughts about a better alternative?

Funny, that comparison between different women and perfumes

The main issue with Tom Ford lines: Private Blends: I smell high quality aromachemicals, but not adequately good blending, and almost everything (apart from the original 2007 releases) feels top-heavy, front-loaded and rushed to production. They are linear, but the 3D openings become 2D or 1D over time on skin, which need not be for linear fragrances (a glaring counterexample being Mugler Cologne). It's pretty obvious he was trying to emulate someone else here with Plum Japonais (Feminite du Bois), Tobacco Vanille (Fumerie Turque), Amber Absolute (Ambre Sultan). Most of the line is a rehash (though rarely improving upon the original) of something else. Secondly, I think they have a sales strategy of let's release all and see which ones do best, and remove the ones that don't and later re-release as limited editions or at higher prices. The perfumes are generally nice and agreeable (though often boring), but way too expensive for what they are. Signature Line: Counterintuitively, I think this line has better and more balanced compositions. Compared to what brands (niche or designer) charge, the Signature line is reasonable. In a slightly different context, have you guys tried L'Homme Sage?

Love your videos. Interesting that you say can’t detect any Oud in Tom Fords Oud fragrances. What would you say Oud in its pure form smells like? I hear so many different things from fresh earthy to old wine barrels. A lot that I have tested seem to be heavy in rose or is that the Oud? What would you say is the closest interpretation in a mass market fragrance.

Tom Ford Extreme is not a "Plum Fougere". Its not a Fougere of any kind to begin with, and there is no plum note. There is a fig fruit note. And a truffle note. Ombré Leather > Tuscan Leather. This video was done 3 years ago, but this Tom Ford fragrance was released in 2017, so it was available. My choice for #1, and really, truly, honestly a Fougere- Beau de Jour.
