Thank you for mentioning the Hawaiian snow bush!! I saw one yesterday at a nursery and I almost cried! The entire time I walked around I thought people were starring at me but they were eyeballing the snow bush!! Lol I can almost bet they’ll be sold out and I’ll never see them again! I feel SO lucky!

I think the asparagus fern (Asparagus plumosus) is one of the most underrated plants. It's got such a whimsical sense of scale! I don't really know how to describe it. Also, since they aren't true ferns, I've found them to be very easy and forgiving, while still giving a fern-y vibe. Edit: Aaaaah, you agree! lol posted before watching the whole video.

Herbs and edible stuff! Everyone's in a scramble for decorative plants, but I think it would be cooler if you're planting and self-sustaining as well. Basil, Mint, Keffir Lime, Peppers, Rosemary, Tomatoes...

Peperomia obtusifolia! So easy to care for, and my variegated version brings me so much joy!!

I believe that peace lillys are under rated and unappreciated. I absolutely love them.

My fave is whale fin Sansevieria, monstera adensonii, pink princess philodendron, regular red anthuriums, any snake plant, and string of hearts xxx

Peace lilies!!!! They don’t get enough love and they’re soo pretty! Just the foliage alone is very tropical esque

I have a ton of hanging plants and I just recently bought a reach hook on amazon for like $12 and it is a GAME CHANGER!!! Its basically one of those hooks they use at clothing stores to reach hanging clothes that are up out of reach! Its the best idea I ever had/ best purchase because I was getting super over getting up on a step stool or ladder.

When you mentioned Aglaonema in your video I literally screamed. I just bought one last weekend!!!!!!! I’m not quite sure what variety I have, the tag didn’t say. I really want the “stripes” variety. If you haven’t seen it... you need to. It’s stunning!!!!!!

I find umbrella trees (Schlefflera) to be super underrated. I have a variegated one, and in summer, it puts out a new, beautiful umbrella of leaves every week! It still grows quite quickly even in winter. Brilliant plant! I also have a fatsia japonica that's growing really well and getting really full in lowish light. Lovely, shiny leaves and fast growing!

I think that zz plants are so lovely. I tell anyone who says they want to get a plant to get a zz. I don’t see them get much love online because they’re so “basic” but they are such rewarding plants!

Ponytail palms!!!!! They're so cute! They look like a high ponytail and I just wanna wrap the fronds up into a bun on top of it 😍😍

Lipstick plant. I feel like no ones talks about them or has them and it's one of my absolute favorites!

Why does no one talk about dracaenas, They are one of my favorites and they are so easy I have had a Dorado dracaena for 5 years and he is almost 4 ft

Personally, I think name descriptions are the most underrated in my experience

I have a Christmas cactus and aside from trying to get it to bloom, I’ve neglected it so much like going a few months without watering to watering it weekly and it’s been doing good for over a year! I’ve also never been able to propagate succulents or cacti but I just take a leaf and put it in moist soil and they root super fast!

Birds of paradise! I have two and they get so big and are so easy to care for in my opinion. If you love giant tropical plants without the humidity requirements I seriously recommend them.

Coleus! I don't see it as often as other plants, BUT THEY'RE SO PREEDDDEEHHHHHHH

English ivy! It's so rewarding seeing it grow so quickly! You can trellis it to anything :)

Oxalis!!! They're so freakin cute and open and close with the sun!

Lipstick plants!!! Not talked about enough from any chanel, no one posts about them. They definitely deserve more attention. Definitely my favorite.

anthuriums! so beautiful, vibrant, and shockingly low maintenance. I love the lil heart shaped leaves and the waxy bloom

Burgundy rubber tree because everyone focuses on the variegated ones (which are great too) and they don’t talk much about the non variegated one. Also the maranta leuconeura kerchoveana variegata because it’s super easy to grow, loves not a lot of light (I have mine pulled back from a north facing window) and so far has been pest free. Love the video, great plants mentioned 💚

I will forever think dieffenbachia! I love them so much and definitely don't get enough love. And the money tree. They're just so beautiful and definitely a classic.

Sygoniums (all varieties), pothos (all varieties), regular ZZs, and bird of paradise! in my experience all of them show you so much love. My bird of paradise is a slow grower but when it surprises you with a new leaf you just wanna die from how happy you know it is.

I think syngonium are very underrated, they're cute, come in a lot of colors, are very forgiving plants and are affordable 😉

I love houseplants that move and grow quickly. I love the wow factor that a baby chain of hearts, marantas, monstera deliciosa. They move and look so different so fast!!!!

I love my China doll and goldfish plants! The leaves are so shiny and lush. Literally no one has a good video on the the China Doll bush. I haven't seen any goldfish videos, either... Though admittedly, I haven't looked. I love their goldenrod balloony fishy shaped flowers!

I feel like African violets are underrated!! They’re one of my true favorites!

Philodendron Scandens remains one of my favorite houseplants. Its common and sure it doesn't have a bunch of colors but THESE GUYS MAKE ME SO HAPPY!!!! But also, I have a Philodendron SP Peru and it's my current obsession.

Emerald ripple Pepperomia! I absolutely LOVE this plant, had always been easy for me to care for and gives a beautiful deep green texture. Also Rex begonias!

I love Mint it's considered a nuisance in a lot of places but I love the smell of every single kind of mint plant out there.

Pilea aquamarine- such a beautiful trailing plant with reddish stems. They’re delicate but not super finicky and not difficult to grow. I’ve had mine for about a year now after finding it tucked away in an arboretum greenhouse, but I love it!

Rubber trees are underrated! I never see them in wishlists or favorites but the different varieties are so pretty! my favorite plant is the tineke variety

Tradescantia, especially minima and quadricolour. Any kalanchoe. Also love my banana tree but my word it's DRAMATIC.

Neon philodendron for sure! They trail so beautifully and grow so fast

Hi Harli! 😊 I have a Ledebouria petiolata, it is so stunning! I love the spots on the leaves it’s nothing I have seen before and I haven’t seen anyone talk about them. I live in Australia and it doesn’t matter what I do to this plant it doesn’t die. I was really lazy for a while and it was happy. Because it is a Lilly it shoots new bulbs regularly and can easily be propagated. It does flower with a long stem which is super pretty! 🌿🌱

I’m so in love with my ficus benjamina variegata! I love having a tree-like plant in my home. It could be that not many ppl love it but i am just obsessed woth it! It looks amazing and although it s very picky when it comes to relocating it and loosing some leaves, i am thinking of buying a second one. 🤨🤪

You are so right about the Emerald Gem. I used to do wholesale route sales for a company called Tropical Gardens (this was a long time ago-- before internet sales were a thing- lol) and those emerald gems used to just sit on my truck. I couldnt give them away. But if you have a large plant display in your shop or your home, it adds a nice lush dark green spot for your eye to rest between flowers and varigation and pattern. (And theyll flower for you tho the flower isnt much to see).. I have one on my desk at work and I just love it.

I love love love the topic of underrated plants. Especially since rare plants are so popular to see videos on. As much as I love seeing rare plants, it’s so nice to see the focus on something the average plant fan can both afford and feel good about trying to keep alive.

Indoor citrus trees!! Very underrated. They look and smell amazing!

It is the cutest happiest little plant in my room!

Golden or Jade pothos. It's a simple plant yet looks beautiful anywhere and can survive almost anywhere. The pothos was my first plant and is underated in the plant community.

I still LOVE pathos! All varieties! They're hardy and beautiful! Another would be calathea. They're one of my faves. They're so eccentric! Some are pretty popular but I love them all! Another would be any citrus! They're gorgeous AND they yield fruit!

I watched an Australian gardener I follow talk about using native plants as house plants "as really there is not such thing as a house plant" - and she is right as they all came out of the ground from somewhere. I have been looking for a weeping specimen plant for my garden, and as house plants are getting expensive here I am giving a native tree a go as an indoor plant. It is an Agonis Lemon and Lime . The leaves are beautiful and I am going to give it lots of light, a native potting mix and I hope to get a number of years out of it trimming the roots and going easy with fertiliser. I am so excited, and my husband call this my plant therapy. Natives as indoor plants could be the secret to having unusual house plants and this plant was less than $15, so affordable too. Featured snippet from the web Agonis Lemon and Lime is a very elegant native tree with weeping fine golden lemon new foliage that turns into a darker lime colour. Small white flowers appear on the branches in summer. A fantastic specimen feature tree with beautiful flowing contrasting colour. A good native alternative to a Willow Tree.

I love my pink aglaonema so much. It has grow so quickly and is so easy to care for, it's also so pretty. I feel like very proud when it flowers 😌

Oddly enough I seen a red emerald at my nursery today and really want it but it was HUGE!!! This makes me want it more! x

I am so excited to see a lot of the plants I love on this episode. My Audrey ficus I have had for 4 years is about 8 feet and amazing. Trying to make it look like a massive bonsai so been massively trimming back. Emerald Gem, Maria, mini snow bush is amazos and one of my favorites of all times. My absolute favorite right now is Sensation Peace Lily which are normally boring plants, sensation variety is amazing though. To bad I can’t post pics of them on here :(

Stromanthe! Yes! I freaking adore my tricolor, fell in love with it the first time I ever saw it and it still just as striking to me today 😍 totally underrated!

I adore my red emerald. Mine only asks for a bit of humidity and that’s it.

The asparagus Fern was super popular in the 70's and my mother in the 50's when I was a child, grew a huge climbing philodendron with gigantic split leaves in a garden room we had in San Francisco. It encircled the entire room like a jungle. So cool.

Aralias!! No one talks about them. I have several varieties: Ming, Parsley, and Balfour. They're not too hard to take care in imo.

Ivy! I get shes a little testy and wants all your sunlight but something about those perfect little tri-tipped leaves gets me everytime

I bought a pilea glauca a looong time ago and it's growing so fast now and I take lots of cuttings for all of my friends to have, it's such a cute little guy

Agree 100% on Homalomena! I think the African Milk Bush is my #1 pick, no one talks about. Super easy to propagate and so so easy to care for, besides having absolutely gorgeous maroon splotches! I’m getting a chunk/cutting of a Red Emerald this week can’t wait! ✌🏻💚

Dracena godseffiana. Such a unique and gorgeous variegation, go and google it, you have to see it. It has never given me any troubles. Out of the hundreds of plant videos I have watched, I've only ever seen it mentioned once.

I love the beetle peperomia! That little guy has never ever complained and has such a cool growing pattern. I also love African Violets! They are fuzzy and beautiful...but I think they aren't "cool" because they are the official plant of grandmas all over the world:)
