As a kid that came up in this game thank you im 27 going on 28 but i honestly wouldnt have went back after the first time if the field staff and a couple regulars didnt make it good i went in even at 8 knowing that my shity 75 dollar all plastic military surplus off brand m4 that was a not even fullsized acale wasnt up to par and ratger than giving me crap or acting like they didnt want me on their team wouldve turned me away and its what i expected what i found was a staff that all chipped for a gun for me they bought out one of the owners rental on the spot and i went home with what at the time for me was an unbelievable tokyo mauru mp5 and a speed charger and a xtra battery in the years that followed they found team places durring tourneys for me bought me food i was devistated the day that field closed down its now a famous nationwide haunted house i go to it just to get nostalgic these days i still remeber exactly where every piece of cover was in that wharehouse those guys taught me alot of things about being decent humans i wasnt gonna learn anyother way and if i knew how to find anyof them now id buy em all a beer one of them wwas a ex navy corpman and actualy patched up a few injuries that happened from having to mutch fun and taught me alot about line of fire and tactics ..... it was a real situation of if you see something do something and they saw a broken kid with a broken home life and became like a family to me none of them knew but i had no friends my parents were getting divorced and i would spend two days a week in food bank lines to have food at home but they sensed it forsure and made sure i had a place

sometimes its a rule called bang rule, but it's mostly like a unspoken rule, so you dont need to shoot on point blank - cause thats hurts a lot.

iirc BB bullets at point blank can penetrate human skin and sticking on your forehead or some unwanted injuries. So that rule for both safety and courtesy.

It is, but FPS cap helps as well. At my field there is no bang bang rule but there is a 400 FPS cap, 350 for hpa, and no full auto. So you can shoot someone as close as you want or if you want to mercy them just barrel tap them because it counts as a melee kill

I think it the percentage is that high because some just dont feel it and like 10% is just people being dicks and not calling it while they knew

From all I've seen and heard, these videos are not representative of the hobby as a whole. The only reason you see so many videos of it is because the people to be recording all their games are the ones playing a lot and therefore have a huge sample size and upload their clips of the best and the worst. Imo, one of the best ways to not get involved in these situations is to just keep your cool and do things right on your end of things. If a guy isn't calling his shots you can keep yourself hidden from them and peek to tap them a few times every now and then just so it's on display how much of a cheater they are, and let a ref know. The more people that see their bullshit the better. No use in confronting them about it to their face because if they're cheating they obviously don't care about the rules and it'll just be asking for a fight. On top of that, just having a gopro recording so you can have evidence of cheaters can help you a ton.

I've been playing for a little bit and I've only ever run into one guy who you'd remotely called a bad sportsman. Would not honor trades and would look around after getting triple tapped, and mad when you tapped him more cause he didn't raise his hand, not to mention spraying into our spawn. We just told the refs and one of our guys walked up to ask him what was up (don't do this part, it was our last match and our buddy was taking the brunt of it), but he didn't escalate it into anything more. Best things to do are just inform a ref of their behavior and ignore them, keep playing as you do. Just don't get into the habit of seeing ghosts and assume the best, for the first two matches against them I honestly thought I ran out of ammo or jammed or just outright missed them when I got into these situations, and I'm certain they were assuming the worst of my team or that "It can't be I missed, they must be cheating." Assuming the worst of your fellow players is what leads to an ideology of "well if everyone is cheating, I should too," and that leads to the most conflict.

Your best bet is stay away from any yelling, if someone gets aggressive with you, walk away and seek the ref. Be kind to each other, and seriously, this indoor stuff is like a 30 second walk back to your spawn, so it's hardly worth arguing with a bunch of delusional Meal Team Sixers.
