Top 10 Wearable Winter Fashion Trends | How To Style
Fashion trends videos are my absolute favourite videos to make because I love giving you a heads up on what you can expect to see in the stores real soon. I also love making these videos because I like to think that they help to steer you in the right direction when it comes to fashion to avoid making any costly mistakes. There's nothing worse than buying something and not getting the wear out of it so my advice would be to look at these Winter fashion trends and see if any of them fit your style and your lifestyle before you even consider buying them. Also I'm hoping you will already own a number of the pieces show in today's fashion edit so hopefully this video means you won't purge any of these pieces from your wardrobe anytime soon.
Anyway, I'd LOVE to hear your thoughts on these Winter trends. Obviously they won't all be for everyone but I'd love to hear if any of these will be making an appearance for you this Winter.

My thing in winter for jewellery on turtle necks is vintage brooches but only pinned on the high neck itself … even wore a pink dress with a high roll neck and a tiny diamanté brooch on it for my daughters winter wedding 😊

Also, it sounds like I’m set. My fall/winter uniform are black leggings and black turtle neck topped with whatever I feel like sporting that day … I call it NYC on the bottom, Portland on the top. Portland (Oregon) native here weighing in. 😉

Shackets are what many Europeans will be wearing indoors this winter with fuel prices rising and rising. For outdoors they'll add that puffer and hopefully a faux fur stole as well, that would just look so lovely! Thank you for some great videos🙏❤

I really like the late 70s-early 80s revival look of a turtleneck under a collared shirt or shirt dress, it’s so classic. Silk or thin viscose turtlenecks are great for this. I hope H&M will offer their all-viscose turtlenecks and other sweaters again, they’re great for layering, but lately they have been adding a lot of synthetic fibers that just make them too hot to wear, even on their own, much less layered (also 100% viscose/rayon/or lyocell are biodegradable fabrics, synthetic blends aren’t). Maybe Lily Silk will have more choices this year, too, 100% silk is always my first choice of fabrics.

I just will never warm up to a turtleneck.😊 I think it is one of the hardest looks to pull off. I really dislike them on men in particular. I used to say "never date a man who wears a turtleneck".

I think winter can be so much more fashionable than summer. I always layer tanks, tees, or turtlenecks under my dresses or blouses at work because I'm buxom and like to downplay my curves at work. I do like jewelry worn over my turtlenecks to add interest and not play into the Sabrina Duncan of Charlie's Angels look.

The fur stole trend caught my attention. I have a fur stole from the 1920s that belonged to my great aunt that is in wonderful condition. I am definitely all about the knee high boots too and I love your necklace over your turtleneck. Great video! ❤

I have a black puffer short jacket I still love from some years ago (G on H&M) I still wear it when it gets cool but it's not as puffy as the puffer coat/jacket is today. I'm small framed and I would get all swallowed up in the puffer of today. Also, I could go up a size now. Then I wore a long (lean )puffer coat (Macy's) when I went to London in the winter some years ago which looked good on me and so wonderful for the London weather. This is my second winter living in the high desert of Oregon where layering is critical in staying warm. Last year end of season, I ordered every color of turtleneck Land’s End made. This year I am ready with the turtlenecks and my cashmere sweaters. Once you learn “how” to dress, the climate is quite enjoyable.

My very first thought was how fab you look in the black turtle neck w that lovely necklace! I'm 71 and have always worn my turtle necks like that! T necks were always a signature piece for me, but with the "aging neck and jawline" I'm not so sure I can wear them again. As for the rest, so much going on in this video! Can't comment on it all, but I'm sure glad I found a way to store my knee high boots and my cowboy boots I bought in Nashville years ago!

i love my shacket! i bought quite a thick sturdy one for £5 from camden market, it was wrinkly AF but looks awesome now it's been ironed and i wear it with black slim straight leg high waist faux leather trousers and a white muscle crop tank, short black ankle western boots and a gold snake chain around the neck. it looks fire! very 90s grunge but a little elevated and more chic and very current. it's a really good casual daytime go-to outfit that's comfy and chic. And yes, i also love a turtleneck. I've been wearing a few thermal ones i found on ebay they're really fitted with extra long sleeves and look great with the same faux leather pants, ankle boots and a trench coat and beret. And i love a few stacked necklaces over the turtleneck too!

Shackets are a staple for the cowboys in the winter. For at least the last 20 years. In the past, women simply bought them in the mens section so it's nice to see colors more geared toward women. Hello from Montana....

Your list is different from some of the other lists I've seen, but I like that--I trust you more!! Your list is more fashion than fad, and for that reason I think I can make all these things work, i.e. I can carve out my own niche within these broad categories. I guess I was most surprised by the fur stoles, but I have a few; I'm ready to rock 'em.

I’m much more stylish in the cool season because I can wear layers, fabrics I really love, like silk and cashmere, and styles I love like blazers, knits and boots. The 5-6 month long hot season is just about trying to stay reasonably cool, I just don’t feel my best then. We’ve finally made it to the autumnal equinox tomorrow, but it will take another six weeks to cool down here in California. Every year I get out my autumn capsule too early, so I’m trying to wait until early November, but I’m excited to see my fall and winter things again! I live for the months of autumn through spring, when the cool weather brings my energy back again and I can get so much done and walk the summer pounds away.

The puffer jacket as a 'trend' made me laugh as living in a mountain climate where every local and every tourist is wearing them 9 months a year for the last 50+ years, I try to avoid them or hide a thin one under my nice wool coat! I love my legging and will never let them go, it great to be able to pull something on that just basically let you move freely, and they come in so many colors and prints and you can also use it as a layering piece under dresses and skirts. Knit stretch garment has been part of my running errand arsenal, way back in the late 80s. I am leather pants ready, I have been thrifting them and buying them second hand the past year and a half and have not gotten a chance to wear them so totally looking forward to sporting them even if it is just to go to the grocery store. Yes, to sweater dresses and two pcs set, they are such a good canvas for a great statement belt. I have some colorful stoles packed away and did not bring them out at all last year, so this is a reminder to me to pull those out to help with the need of keeping things fun with some color around the neck or shoulders. Since, as you well know I am a thrifter, so everything is basically covered for me under each category except for the primary/kelly green, if you might find something is not the size but I don't recall finding anything. I was so desperate I was going to do retail but what I wanted was sold out. We are forecast to start getting cooler tomorrow like high in the 60s but right now we are having a very unseasonal heatwave in the high 90's (cough "global warming"). Even though it been really hot the leaves are already covering the ground. Have you seen the new Elvis movie? I was not interested at first because I am like how interesting can it be but it was really good told through the eye of the Colonel. Totally enjoyed it. Love the look of necklaces over turtlenecks! I immediately thought u looked very stylish. I often wear that combo myself, as I sometimes feel turtlenecks can look a bit plain on their own 😊 Being petite I really struggle to find a good pair of faux leather trousers, they need to be just the right length and I think they would be difficult to hem, I have seen very few options in the petite collections…

Great to see some stuff that I was doing in the 70's is hot, like wearing turtle/polo necks under shirts and dresses! Wearing blouses under dresses was also in last year- is it this year? Yes to colour, although will be enjoying all black with a pop of a silk scarf next to my face (black can really wash you out) Love knee boots with leggings! I keep my fave pieces for years, often decades, as they always come around again. Green and red are a fave combo! xx

I like necklaces over turtlenecks if they are fairly substantial, and medium to long length, like yours. I usually don’t wear one if I’m adding a blazer, which is one of my favorite looks: midi skirt, boots, turtleneck and blazer.

I just got two pairs of leggings-type trousers from Zara, they’re very thick and have gold buttons, and are nice, and modest with the right undies, enough to be worn to an office.

I have never actually worn a necklace over the top of a polo neck sweater as I am top heavy; it's always been a no-no for me as it draws attention to that area, which I really wish to avoid...plus it makes me look even heavier up top! However, if you are lucky enough to be less voluminous in this area, it looks terrific, as it does on you Leonie. I am very envious....❤

I LOVE navy with camel or cream and any browns with a reddish tone...I am going to buy a core navy wardrobe this year because it is a much better color for me than black.

I think navy is the most elegant color and I never get tired of it President Obama wore a lot of navy cashmere suits and San Francisco's Symphony conductor Michael Tilson Thomas had an entire wardrobe in navy palette, and both men always looked very well dressed. And I do love green! (Just bought a pair of Kelly green slingback shoes and purse). I love knee high boots but Im not keen on shackers (or whatever they're called). 🙂 Great video as usual!

Never be a slave to fashion! Can't believe you got rid of your knee high boots, always in even though I prefer a calf high which is never "in style". Cheers to your local thrift store! Wish you lived near me as I volunteer at one. 💗
