I would add Shaun and Alex = Flow Skate - they have such an unique positive vibe, mix of urban, wizard and something different. Every single video is like "look how fun skating is". And when it comes to aggresive skaters doing wizard stuff, I really liked Eugen Enin in the powerslide 4x90 rockered frame promo video. From small channels highly recommend the KazuMori20 - short black and white viideos, very smooth moves, really pleasent to watch.

I really rate the new Rob Kellet edit, feel like he shows mushroom and wizard inspiration so well and subtlety in his street skating. A trick is jump up and slide down. But from the moment you put on your skates you have the choice to have this immense flow from beginning to end if you practice just ground fundamentals. Like how skateboarding abandoned flat style freestyle but overlooked what superb board control can do for street skating. A lot of my quad skating is just carving down hills feeling out my edges chaining as much moves together as is possible.

@TomMoyse 10 ай бұрын
Not really. He was very creative and skated outside of the traditional moves, but it’s more just creative / mushroom style like Nick Wriggle, Andy Kruise and Tom Hysler did before him. Wizard takes from so many different disciplines there is no one person or one style that really pioneered it before it came about.

@TomMoyse ok 👍 👌 Kruise and hysler would agree with me... just ask em after you go back and watch his 2part in the old words video. @@smithjohn3080 I stand by what I said. You’re confusing creative, untraditional skating with wizard skating. Latimer was an incredibly influential skater but not the sole pioneer of wizard style. It takes more from slalom and figure skating. Watch my other two videos on wizard for a better understand of what Wizard skating is then you’ll have a clearer understand of what influences it 🫡

Latimer was more Mushroom Blading. Unorthodox tricks on unorthodox spots, but still very much aggressive skating.. wall rides, cess slides, grinding and rolling on different obstacles with freestyle frames. He wasn’t doing all the swivel type movements that are possible with a rockered wheel set up. Wizard skating is more like a combination of slalom, figure skating and aggressive. Latimer was very creative but it was very different to Wizard skating.

Nah, they have a point. People are talking about tricks like Lions and Gazelles as if they are new and came from Wizard, they didn't. Just like skateboarding, we've had freestyle inline from the beginning and also just like skateboarding, freestyle got shunned and forgotten. Some people add a 5th wheel and do the exact same tricks and now it's suddenly cool. That's all Wizard is, freestyle, but accepted. I agree, it's not that innovative.
