I know this is late, but NGL, Chun-Li's voice in that scene is TERRIBLE! She sounds a million times better in Street Fighter 2V, and Street Fighter 2 the animated movie.

Ehhhh, it's not bad. It's INTIMIDATING, for sure, but I've seen MUCH WORSE dramatic dialogue deliveries(say that 5 times fast) than THAT.

I liked Season 3 as well. In fact , it was the more decent part of Sonic X in my opinion. If the whole Sonic X series was based off the Meterax saga rather than trying to adapt from the Adventure games, the series might've received better reception.

Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm has got to be one of the worst cartoons based on a game because: 1) It's based on a video game series for adults, but it's marketed for kids (meaning no bloody "finishing moves"). 2) The dialogue is bad. REALLY bad. 3) The martial arts fighting is almost non-existent in the show.

*sigh* Okay, Nick. If you really don't like BlazBlue, that's fine. As a big fan of the series myself, I know fully well that the storyline is confusing and hard to get a grasp of for beginners. And the anime deserves its criticism due to how they tried to cram two games' worth of plot into a single season when even one full game is pushing it. But you guys named this video "TOP 10 WORST CARTOONS BASED ON VIDEO GAMES". You should talk about the cartoons/animes themselves and explain why they're bad when compared to their video game source material. Your big rant about BlazBlue was not about the anime, but about your unbridled hate for the series itself. I may have watched the anime myself, but if I hadn't, I'd have NO IDEA what it was about the anime specifically that sucked so bad except that apparently the whole plot of the series is garbage. And it isn't. It really isn't. It's one of the better-made storylines in modern fighting games if you take the time to immerse yourself in it, and it actually has the audacity to attempt at an expansive storyline at all instead of being bare-minimum like most of the rest of the market. In truth, many of your complaints were about your personal confusion over stuff that the games actually do explain if you pay attention during all the dialogues or check out the series' other medias like the light novels, mangas, and audio books. And don't tell me that it's bollocks that you have to go look at those for the fleshed-out plot. Street Fighter didn't have a comprehensive story mode until SFV, and you seem to love that series' characters and plot to death long before the A Shadow's Fall update came around. Like I said, it's fine if you don't like the games, that's okay. But if I half-heartily read a book and skip a few pages, I don't bash its story because I don't get what's going on. And I certainly don't make a video about the movie based on the book where I only talk and complain about the book I couldn't put the effort to pay attention to and learn properly about in the first place.

@Sjono Adventures was much more faithful to the games than SatAM was, and everyone does a good job providing the series' humor, particularly the late great Long John Baldry as Dr. Robotnik, who became a fountain of memes. Plus, a lot of Adventures' storylines would serve as inspirations for later Sonic games.

DaFawks Yeah, but the thumbnail features a picture from Sonic X, one of Sonic's best shows, which to someone who hasn't seen the video yet, could indicate it being on the list, despite it not appearing. They could of easily used a picture from Adventures Of Sonic The Hedgehog, and everything would of been fine.

BlazBlue's story is a jigsaw puzzle plot. It is a story meant for those who have sharp and perceptive minds, and since America does not produce jigsaw puzzle narratives nearly as often as Japan, it's only natural for most of the west to not understand how this type of story works. The only noteworthy jigsaw puzzle plots from the west that come to mind are DC comics, Marvel comics and subsequently the MCU. In other words, the west have the least amount of exposure to this sort of narrative.

GamerBear but it did butcher the story. 12 episodes would barely be enough for just calamity trigger. when you gloss over the first entry, which is needed to understand everything else, the anime is doomed to destroy the story. i understood the anime, only because I've poured countless hours into the lore and world

Ninja07Keaton I understand many Japanese plots and I'm from America but you're saying that the idea of a constant time loop and then disrupting the time loop and changing absolutely nothing so even the events that the time loop caused still exist despite the fact that they never went back in time and caused those events. You're trying to say that this makes sense to you because that was literally what I got from just what this episode said. It just doesn't make sense to me and if you wanna explain it go ahead.

First of all Sonic Underground wasn’t that bad, and neither were the adventures. Yeah they were childish but that was their targets. Plus sonic didn’t really have that big of a story line then. Also nice clickbait putting Sonic X in the thumbnail

Zhane' the Hedgehog I don't know.... I mean Sonic relying on disguises more than beating up enemies with speed like in Sonic X, Sonic Satam..... I prefer Sonic X over Adventures. I mean the Sonic games have Sonic fight robots using homing attack, spin dash, and it all takes SPEED not disguises. I mean Sonic isn't Michael Jackson. ( Out in public, Michael wore disguises to hide from fans due to how popular he was.)

You couldn't really screw up Mario, even back then. The Ruby-Spears cartoon came out around the time of Mega Man 3, so this was long before Capcom or Inafune actually decided to give any of the characters, well, actual character and even now, the stories were never anything home to write about. And the voice acting is still way better than what MM8 produced :U

the archie megaman comics did a great job of adapting megaman 1-3, the ruby spears cartoon is one of the worst pieces of megaman related media and while its not terrible, i watched it when i was little, it was still pretty bad. i mean Protoman had the same voice actor as link from the zelda cartoon and was whiny too

***** The Archie Mega Man series came out decades after 3 was released and in that timespan, Capcom has given us a remake of those games in the Wily Wars and expansive knowledge on a lore that properly exists now. How was anyone back in 1990 suppose to guess that Proto Man was some mysterious, secretly complex character when the games themselves said nothing at all? How many of us even knew about his reactor problem?

Looking back at it now, I don't exactly feel like I missed out with Mk Defenders Of The Realms (which was strangely also the name of a live action series on TBS.). There is one good thing it did: It gave us Quan chi. Come to think of it, I think he's the only character tacked into a Alternate MK Media (Tv shows, cartoon or movie) that ended up in the main series.

Yeah, if any show should have been on here it should of been Sonic Boom. Underground at least has a good story, and at least it's enjoyable. Boom, however, is extremely unbearable. I couldn't watch anymore of it after the first episode, whereas with Underground I still watched as it might not have an odd group of characters it was still watchable.

The only "good" Darkstalkers tv series I've watched, is the Anime OVA series titled: Nightwarriors Darkstalkers' Revenge. Better animation, better voice acting, and much better tone.

To be fair, a _lot_ of the toons that came out in the 80s [1] were made in times when the games were far more simple, andthus had fewer elements to draw on [2] were made by companies that had no idea of the games themselves. So holding them to a "high standard" of translation quality is a bit of a "Dic" move

blazeblue had some problems, but Neu 11 made it all worth it. sonic was my childhood and it was silly, but the nostalgia. I thought manic from Sonics spin off was interesting and I didn't even know that show existed till after I was about 17.
